I always liked this song. Actually, it might have worked also with Ringo as lead vocalist. It has a limited vocal range thoroughly within Ringo's range (Paul's parts). This would have given Ringo a lead vocal during the period between Sgt. Pepper and the White Album (even though the song wasn't officially released for another year and a half - January '69).
