  • Purchased the album. It seems very reserved and there is no risk taking as far as the solos go. I could have spent money better on buying 3-4 classic Blue Note albums instead of this super "safe" recording. Basically Blue Note gone Hollywood. Honest review.

  • A bit slick..

  • Saw this past weekend at Stephens Auditorium..hottest group I've seen in awhile

  • I saw them at ASU in Boone, NC 2/17. it was a great show. Lewis Nash was particularly amazing.

  • bennet studios

  • I went to see them at the Boulder Theater this weekend. It was INCREDIBLE! Classy and experimental, live and true...

  • Saw them at the Napa Opera House last month, absolutely amazing concert...

  • This sounds promising. Not an imitation of the classic BlueNote years(who could imitate Art Blakey,Monk,Horace Silver?),nor a remix project that would be outdated in a few months. A solid bunch of players who can both play in an ensemble and also create listenable solos. Hopefully, they will be in good spirits when I get to see them in Philly in April. Memo to Bruce Lunvall,CEO of Blue Note Records:maybe a video could be shot when the tour winds up in NYC a few days later at the BlueNote club.
