Thank you so much for posting this. This has been my ultimate favorite Christmas movie to watch during the holidays. Unfortunately the copy I did have was VHS and no longer plays. :( I have tried searching hours on end to find a DVD...sadly I will have to fork out over $50.00!!!!

I think it's the people that never experienced the beauty of the muppets. Hopefully, the new muppet movie will change people's tunes and bring the new generation of kids some enlightenment in experiencing the muppets which made my childhood special.

How did I FORGET this?! WOW. I remember having this taped on a VHS and watching it when it was first aired. I had this memory of seeing all of the Muppets together singing "We Wish You a Merry Christmas" and I could never remember what it was from. Thank you for this!!

There's an interesting if not sad irony here in that so soon before the creative genius Mr. Henson died (all too early) is that they had this wonderful Christmas show where the characters from, "Sesamee Street," "The Muppets," and "Fraggle Rock" all came together.

(And to top it off, Mr. Henson made a brief appearance.)

Personally, I feel out of decency to Mr. Henson, they should release a PROPER DVD of this.

It's a sad commentary on the degradation of society when the art and literature of the ages becomes unavailable because of 'legal quibble.'

What if the work of the great Shakespeare, the great Dickens, the great Hawthorne etc had been lost because of this nonsense?

For those of you who don't know, the man that had made reservations at Fozzie's Mom's house is none other than Doc Sprocket- the main (and only) human character from Fraggle Rock, another one of Jim Henson's creations. Also, the Fraggles themselves make an appearance in this special later on. This christmas special has got ALL the muppets!

I think part of the reason that this special isn't shown is because Disney is just difficult like that. Another part of the reason is Political correctness I mean Henson dared to use eclesiastical christmas songs and God forbid anyone do that anymore.
