  • my horse trots and canters so much faster haha but once u get him collecte he canters like this but his legs extend less : hes in training and doing well his very wp show is satrday wish me luk and omg what an amazing horse!!

  • @Lordsangels03 *collected and very first

  • The only one I would place in this class is the one @6:40 (blue shirt, first one behind you when you reversed)

  • your horse is beautiful. thats all i have to say!

  • head bobbing = BAD. world western pleasure judges DO NOT want to see a horse whose head bobs at the lope people! aaaand ladies! put your chins up please! :) look like youre enjoying it and have an attitude!

  • @sweeter1900 good advice! my horse bobs his head all the time ! what can i do to stop that i mean i try slowing him then collecting a little but then he throws his head. my little sister got thrown off by him cause of that and i got disqualified 3 times for no apparent reason they didnt tell me.. so any advice?

  • Your horse is Gorgeous! How did you do in this class? also do you know how the other paint did at 3:37? The 2nd one behind you? Do you know it's name? I LOVE the lope on that horse;) Your horses is really nice too.

  • Wow he carries his head SO low!! he is GORGEOUS! I dont understand how a horse can lope that slowly!

  • ...and considering that he's 16.2, he can hold his own in the ring with all these little WP bred ponies ;)

  • I just am leasing a horse.,.and thinking about 4h what is western pleasure?

  • you shouldn't even be able to ride a horse if you don't know what western pleasure is.

  • you would be suprised how many people don't knwo what wp is.

  • Excuse me? There are some damn good riders, probably ones that can ride circles around you and your pompous ass, that havent the slightest clue what WP is.

  • @mrn1224 thats a bit extreme, and over opinionated. cause i can say the same about basic dressage

  • wow, i'm really jealous of your horse! :)

    how old is he?

  • nah dont worry about it hes doing it for balance i mean maybe pushing him up a little will help but me personaly i like a little bob in there head but other then that hes got a really good, nice, true, crisp jog he looks great good job! looks like my gelding

  • You look great at the walk and jog. I would work on trying to steady his head at the lope so that he doesn't bob it so much. If you did that he would be perfect!! Awesome job with him though you two look great!

  • these are Western PLeasure horses honey they are made to go slow ok

  • LOL, my cousins shetland pony could lap these horses about 3 times at the jog!

  • Beautiful horse! I love his movement...so slow and consistent, and he makes it look easy. We've got a WP mare like that, but I also have a gelding that I show HUS with and I'm trying to do some more WP, but it's just not as easy with him. People don't realize how hard it is to go "slow and easy."

  • You're right, it's much easier when they are bred for it and want to do it naturally :)

  • dont listen to wat poeple say your horse is a very good mover and has great potential..........mine moves the same way but mine is like 12 so hes alot better mover but we show at congress and the aqha circit and me and my paint go to the pinto congress and the apha circit

  • Your walk and jog are great and he is a pretty horse. I would say that you are riding the brake to much and thus your horse looks over canted and he is off balance due to the excess head bobbing.

Encourage forward motion with him and you will have a far prettier lope that is consistent with what you are seeing now with wp.

  • .some people just don't understand, you breed for this.like a dog my black lab can't sit and point at a bird in the bush like my brother pointer does but his dog cant swim after the duck we shoot either. When people can't get what others have, they down grade it

  • One more thing i would like to add is that this is not unnatural! Riding itself is unnatural for horses and if you dont like it dont watch it!!!

  • Don't worry about what any of those other people said, your horse looks beautiful and perfectly normal! When i go riding the horses i ride look exactly the same! Your horse is soooooooooooooooooo gorgeous i would kill 4 him!!!

  • no offense to anyone...but being a hunter girl...i don't agree with this. it isn't natural for a horse to move like that. what you call a lope...is not a lope...its like a weird walk! my mom used to show in arabian western classes...and 20years ago...you wouldn't place for the stuff you are doing..they expect for them to move freely...just not quickly...not do this skimpy like walk...walk fast...and weird..walk.canter...i don't agree with this...the western classes have gone totally wack.

  • Being someone who is unfamiliar with the western show ring, why do they have the horses move so unnaturally? i know that if i was working on a ranch i wouldn't want my horse moving like that, i'd think something was wrong with him. so how did this gate develop? why make your horse look crippled?

  • My horse looks exactlly like yours but a little more whits on its body!!

    Nice job

  • GREAT JOB! I wish my mare would lope that slow! She is in training for her lope right now though. Don't mide whatever AkumaFox says! She doesn't know what she is talking about! You keep doing what you are doing because you rock at it! And so does Clark!

  • Very gorgeous horse.

    I love,love,love his coloring.

    Very flashy.

I miss dressing up for shows.

I used to show in the AQHA circuit, but I grew out of it and sold that horse.

  • good job!! how did you do?

  • Pretty horse. Did you train him?

  • My trainer and I have worked really hard with him. I live hours away now, so I have to give him most of the credit!! He was always a nice mover, but didn't even know how to steer when I bought him.

  • THAT WAS SOOOOOOOO COOL!

  • sorry, but i think i'm in love with your horse!

  • lol, which one looks more dead?

Doesn't look much like a extended trot, and holy shit, I thought they were walking when they were actually loping. And look at the head! All of them are bobbing like their lame.

  • I noticed that one of your "favorite videos" is called "Stereotyping: English and Western", where the moral of the video is to accept the differences between equine disciplines and not criticize one in which you may not be familiar. So seeing that you barrel race and I show western pleasure, obviously two separate kinds of classes, why don't you just shut your mouth and stop being such a hypocrite.

  • Lol, omg, I am so sorry..I do show both, but my horse actually extends and has a natural free flowing gaits, but looking like they are dead is just how western pleasure is judged these days, so I don't blame you. Sorry about saying that.

  • you obviously don't know anything about western pleasure! i recomend that you dont trash talk something you have no clue about! :)

  • @AkumaFox Ass hole!

Get a life...and stop looking up these videos if you are just going to criticize us!

    Seriously!

Get a fuckin' life you bitch!!

By the way, I adore your horse here (the one from the video)

    Very gorgeous.

  • You guys look great!! :]

  • Thank you! :)
