@spc1980ro Why should I defend Vietnam? I'm not Vietnamese. I've set up a company in Germany; also in India, Vietnam, and many other countries. It may take a week in Germany, however in the US and Australia it only takes a few hours. My experiences with German democracy (both in the past East and West Germany and today's united Germany) has not always been pleasant. I found German bureaucracts to be very heavy-handed, especially when they think they have power over you. It's their nature.

Once they held me at Checkpoint Charlie for hours and tried to give me a really hard time. They were after foreign currency. Luckily at that time I was a solider (though they didn't know it) and trained in anti interrogation techniques. It wasn't a nice experience. Today's airport security are almost as bad.

Saying that your "going to make every last german pay for their crimes" is stupid and ridiculous. Most of them didn't commit any crimes and 99% of those who did are now dead. Most of them didnt committed crimes but most of them were happy what their government was doing. You are the one who is a clueless moron. @OfficialArma He had german citizenship. Besides he claimed that austrian and german people are the same thing, and i have not heard of them protesting against it but i have heard that 99.73% of austrians voted for the anschluss.

@mily357 Actually not every Nazi was German - there were Nazis that joined the party and Army from many European Countries and some African and Asian Countries as well. Also, Hitler was appointed Chancellor and was never elected by a majority of Germans. The Nazi party did win the most seats in the 1932 election but was still short of a Majority in the Reichstag.

True. But had Hitler not mobilized the SA and stirred civil dissent among the masses in the wake of the Reichstag fire; it would have been much harder for him to seize power. Hitler was a deeply intelligent and calculating man, who effortlessly used his oratorical abilities, propaganda and subterfuge to sway Germany. With this being said, Germany was in dire straits under the Weimar Republic, and frankly, this lent credibility to fascism and radical national idealism.

hitler never achieved an actual majority 44% infact, when he teamed with the NDVP the nearest right wing party they could make a 52% majority.
the president of germany could pick anyone as chancellor with Hindenburg choosing hitler due to his dementia and meetings with many elites who advised him to as there was a large communist threat its called the "backstage intregue".
hindenburg hated hitler and put him in a cabinet with few nazis, hitler took complete power through gleischaltung.
