  • Curlywolf, also take a look at Seishiro Endo Shihan Sensei. Copy and paste

成新会合気道発足. Watch them both very closely and tell me what you think.

I had the Honor to attend a seminar with Endo Sensei and it was amazing!!!

    Tell me what you think.

  • @therickmon1 There are 2 that I always record at the All Japan Aikido Demo, Takeda Sensei and Endo Sensei. For the most part, all the other demos are showing the basics. These two guys always show what they are actually working on at their stage in aikido and indeed at their stages in life.

  • I've been practicing Aikido for 31 years and believe me there's such a thing as "No Touch Throws". You must know the theory behind it. It also requires lots of study

and practice. The problem I have with some exhibitions is that we tend to show things that are really not necessary. This sensei maybe great at what he does, but it gives the public a disillusion of Aikido. If you can't explain the theory, why show the technique? I also teach Argentine Tango and the performances are he same.

  • @therickmon1 Very well said!

  • Why are everybody very ignorant about this... this stuff works... There are many aikidokas who can do this in our country, they do not take ukemi's , Ukes are sent flying with a broom stick...

  • With the comments written here, it made my stomach aching due to irresistible laugh. Please add some more hilarious comments...

  • I've seen stuff like this from the Ki Aikido bunch but I'm suprised this guy is Aikikai. Its kind of funny but mostly just sad.

  • Esto es donde acabó el AIKIKAI,

    No es honesto!!

  • I have been practicing aikido for 30 years...Takeda sensei once cut right through me with his ki. How could I land a shomen-uchi on someone who had already stabbed me with something like a tanto but an invisible one...it was something you could feel though...it made me react to feel it... so, I guess with a few more years of that sort of training...he has simply got stronger at it... ki is something fundamental to chinese medicine and the highest level is to send ki without touching ..

  • is this a joke?? if it is... is not even funny... if is not a joke..... I will love to know were this Dojo is? so I can pay them a visit and practice with the one performing...

  • This must be the true Last Air Binder alive ..lol

  • Now this, kids, is what a cult looks like.

  • just another idiot who is followed by buch of clowns.

  • One more thing - my old Aikido instructor, who was a bit out there himself, once did this pin on me, he held me on the ground for ages then slowly took his hands away, the whole time he was saying "if you pin him with love he'll want to stay down.." When he had removed his hands, I stayed on the ground, not because I couldn't get up, but purely because I didn't want to embaress him - same thing happening in this I'm afraid.

  • @mattymojo911 I would get up and yell "Why don't you love me more? OH GOD, WHY?!"

  • Well Takeda - nice person that he is - is welcome to come and try this no touch stuff on any one of my students, they would quite frankly laugh. I actually feel sorry for him - Takeda is very good, as are many of his students but this is just.......self deluding I'm afraid.

  • My sensei says everytime someone makes a mistake : "If you don't do it the right way you'll either harm yourself or get owned, there's nothing such as a magical "get down" (while he snaps fingers)."

    He'd rather watch this LOL

whatever, i'll take the samething for diner! lol

  • have been doing aikido since 96, not a very long time I know, but enough to have some idea of what works and what doesn´t... this would NEVER work, not on my, not my senseis who´s been doing it since 84... never ever. (im talking about the long distance stuff)

otherwise, i kind of like Takeda Shihan, i like his aikido and how fluently he moves. But the non-touch stuff ... no way!

  • I know plenty of people who have trained with Takeda Sensei - none have "felt" the mysterious force he shows here. To see this sort of thing at work youtube "human taser" and watch that documentary, similar stuff, sort of a student mass hypnosis. Shame really, it is simply large numbers of students, who only train with him, only want to do well by him, and not question him - often leads to this sort of ...... well I don't want to be rude, but it is self deluding crap.

  • those kind of videos are like a desease for all Aikido

  • I felt sorry for the ukes...so pathetic....

  • This is a display into the sensitivity that advanced aikido can develop. It;s expressed in this way to make it visable for everyone to see. It is a union between uke and nage that they must adapt to the everchanging moment. Watch how the movements, although serperate in uke and nage, match exactly. Now imagin that ability to flow and adapt while in a "martial situation".

  • @silzer69 This is not advanced Aikido...its advanced flopping...

  • It's a bit like watching the Emperor's New Clothes, only it's in Japanese, and without damn subtitles!

    Takeda, you're a wanker!

  • Pathetic

  • funny! "this isn't aikido!" or "this is real, you just doesn't know!" ha! these comments're laughable. ones who are not patient with negative comment(s) should not post this kind of video. and ones who only have study for about ten years should not think they know everything about the art. takeda-shihan, if he approve this video being published which i doubt he is, merely showing this is art he knew. good if you understand. but if not, or even resent, there're many way to the peak of mount fuji.

  • How he do that in 1:23 ?

  • "Ki" sabaki

  • The power of the mind is an awesome thing. Believe you are going to fall down, and you probably will.

  • Speaking as an aikidoka (albeit a novice), videos like this just make the art look bad. Aikido is martial techniques, not magic tricks. My aikido instructors would laugh at this video.

  • Made for ` Bullshido `.

It is comforting to see they are flying below the Icelandic ash clouds.

  • Message 1: done aikido 30 years.seen many but not all senseis. Think even O'Sensei didnt demonstrate those things. However, remark: 1.When doing randori, how his action is always directet to the center, i.e. the medium line of uke, and at same time how he goes out uke's line of attack.Contact or no contact is immaterial here. He addresses his uke/partener rhe right way (not only a matter of 'doing', but of addressing mainly) As uke I often felt overwhelmed by the power of senseis.

  • great drama, I really eager to be waved by his god's hands, where can i experience them? Aikido become bull shit do cos of this , thx for ur posting

  • I'm a beginner. but I think this teacher is ridiculous. It's impossible to overcome all these enemies without touching them. This is not aikido. this is a joke. and I'm sorry because those who do not practice aikido and not know this wonderful art, can think that is nonsense. a kind of magic art. but isn't so

Aikido is a martial art ... MARTIAL ... and is effective on anyone. So you can not do appear aikido as a stupid thing .. Because it is not ..

  • @curlywolf enemies.....not enemies...best buds...total stangers...it's impposible to overcome all of them without touching them. Thanks for the comments...

  • @curlywolf anyone can say thanks for the comments when comments have been made regardless of who posted a video. You know, Freedom of Speech and all...and since you say there is such a thing as a no touch throw (lol) then brace yourself, I'm throwing you through the internet right now.

  • @curlywolf well at least you got that part right...u decided the type of ukemi lol

  • @cluelesswolf pretty lame man, pretty lame. Let's go to name calling instead of talking about the video....

  • @cluelesswolf Lame man, lame. Went to name calling huh? Well maybe by the time you turn 16 or so you'll have both grown up and learned magic throws. I hear teenagers like magic.

  • @thewakasensei

Ok, buddy, first of all it´s understanding that you throw an opinion like that because as you said, you are a beginner. First of all ask to your sensei about TAKE MUSU AIKI, maybe he or she can explain to you something about it. This is it, and it is a superior Aikido level. Please watch videos of O- Sensei in his last years, and you will see something like this, I know that in this video Uke guys are overacting in the ukemi. It takes many years to reach this level.

    So long.

  • @mikeledan

I practice Aikido Iwama Ryu so I know exactly what is the Takemusu aiki, i say the video of O'Sensei (maybe better than you and Takeda) and I assure you that O'Sensei does not use the power of thought ,but he use imbalances and years and years of practice and now I hope you do not want to equate O'Sensei and Takeda, because if you put them on the same level, well I say you do not understand anything about Aikido! If It takes many years to reach this level, then these years are wasted!

  • Hi, wakasensei, try to continue practicing, it's obvious you understand nothing about ki and ki projection. This is not stupid or ridiculous, this is a refined Art. This is the manifestation of an evolved consciousness. Onegashimasu.

  • @thewakasensei

As you said, you're a beginner. That's why you don't understand "his" aikido and it's easy to judge without the right knowlege. But I'll give you a clue for you to meditate over: he is playing with the opponent's subconscious.

By the way, all those who think the same, should read this comment before prejudge.

  • @rojasfantasias Do you honestly believe that, as an example, what he does with the bokuto has any effect at alll? If someone did that to me I would laugh and strike them in the do with the bokuto just so that they wouldn't do something as ridiculous as that ever again.

  • @k0ns0l3 Come on man! It just an exhibition, that's all. Let's take it as it is. Greetings!

  • @rojasfantasias By exhibition are you implying that it's a pre-arranged performance? While it can look like this, it is not what happens when training with Takeda Shihan. After you've experienced the impossibility of attacking this 70 year old man, you'll understand.

  • @SilkenMasseur Did you really want to comment on my post? I don't see the relation between your comment and mine.

  • @rojasfantasias greetings, I took your comment to possibly mean that the demo was a prearranged series of actions, rather than an example of what happens in regular training, spontaneous not rehearsed.

While an exhibition, it's not done to entertain or impress students into joining etc. It's to show the research into movement that has marked Takeda Shihan's career. Research finds many things we later discard in favour of others. It's risky to "put it out there", and courageous.

  • @thewakasensei I know it look weird what Takeda Shihan does. But it´s all about ukemi practice, intention, sensibility and expansion of consciousness.it takes a lot of practice and a willingness to break many mental barriers do what he does. We generally tend to fix our mind to throw the other while he say gather, be one and move together changing the direction. If you have the chance to meet him, you will understand, maybe it´s not the kind of practice you are looking for and that's fine

  • There is some actual aikido here but the group prat falls and the silly groaning and carrying on are like something out of a Monty Python skit.

  • Oh dear !!

Read the article " Is Aikido a Martial Art " on Bullshido.

  • Crifstar, Your right, I'm an instructor in Aikido, this sort of thing hurts the rep of real aikido instructors all over the world.

hifiveoverthere: you have no clue what your talking about, please be quiet.

  • omg... it gets even worst... lol. This video should be removed

  • LOL... If you didn't get to 1:20, take another look!! Come on... the uke's a foot away...

  • I'm sorry but stuff like this just makes aikido look bad. I've been training for over 18 years and I just can't watch when people tank for sensei. It does nothing but harm the spread what I consider a beautiful art

  • @Crifstar - I hear you kohai. 19 years for me. I agree with every word you said.

  • ....... Notice how all the attackers slap the mat with their hands, to add dramatic effect...

Kind of like WWE... FAKE !

  • this is so called fake bullshit aikido. That is the reason why this fine art has so bad reputation.

  • @a7green

the reason that they slap the mat is to take the impact out of it. takeda sensei's style is to win the fight before any contact is made. The Ukes have the choice of getting hit in the face or rolling away. If it were me, I would roll away if I knew what was coming. None of you understand Aikido.

  • although I have to admit I have no idea what's flying when they are all lined up

  • @hifiveoverthere I understand Aikido. I would actually attack this man and respect the art.

  • @aiki3d And he would appreciate your sincerity. When a 2 yr beginner with 10 yrs in judo and Wing Chun, he asked me to shomen. I did it gently (I was worried I'd hurt this 50 yr old :-). He gently parried upward in shomen and dropped me to the floor and said "more, more, harder", I went again twice more each time harder and was dropped like I'd hit a wall and then the floor. He was effortless and smooth, and weighed under 100lb. I'd only seen the outside of the movement.

  • excellent! Nice that we nowadays have so much material with takeda sensei to watch. Thanks for posting!!!

  • WHAT ???

  • W.T.F.!!!!!

  • да больше на джедаев похоже(( но есть одно но: он их сенсей они ученики. у них энергетическая связь, так бывает , с теми кто долго практикует вместе... ничего общего среальностью верно. совершенно другой уровень)))

  • массовый психоз

  • self gratification!

  • what is this shit?!

  • please!!! stop it's shameful!!!!!!!!!

  • Comment removed

  • piu che altro mi chiederei chi gli ha insegniato certe cose...

  • This can't be real. And if it is, I'd love for it to be demonstrated on myself.

  • Посмеялся от души))) Джедаи среди нас, братья мои))

  • WTF?

    Jediwaza?

  • @dllhell If a friend mouths words to me across a noisy party and I pick up his intention and respond to that silent communication, is that magic, or sensitivity and blending?

  • This is purely ukemi practice, nothing to do with nage, a good aikidoka (in ukemi) can fall like being thrown from the truck even without any body is throwing. Aikido is very good, but for this ...please think more realistic, more logic.....

  • i seen and felt some pure magic aikido but i would love the chance to be uke for this

  • KKAIKIDO

  • thank you so much for posting this. i am a devoted learner of aikido and love and resonate with the path that takeda has shown possible.

  • no problem. stay safe.

  • Miracles are working for those, who believe in them. BTW, I'm practicing aikibudo, I don't underestimate aiki-techniques.

  • I totally believe this! because i've experience it myself by taking ukemi for Takeda Shihan during his seminar.

AND YES! HE CAN THROW YOU AWAY JUST BY WAVING HIS HANDS! so to those disbeliever out there...guess you're the real moron for judging without experiencing!

  • thanks for the comment.

  • interesting... but i think, i'll have to test it on my own, to believe it

  • @willustration Sorry , some of this stuff here is nonsense. The Ukes are self deluded. When the instructor establishes contact he is fair , otherwise the no touch stuff is phony.

  • Thanks u very much for sharing this, do you have more demostrations of any AKI members,

    where it was recorded anyways?

  • all the videos of aikido on my channel are by AKI aikidokas in Yokosuka. This video was recorded at a convention center in downtown Yokosuka. thanks for the comment!

  • Tardkido

  • truly beautiful...

    lovely to watch..

  • If not its experience in practical person AYKIDO, that has solved that all THIS not real.

The Progress world AYKIDO on person.

The Review and get drunk the harmonica that capable to create the person.

  • mentes pequeñas que critican no llegan a comprender el espiritud del aikido

  • Hombre amigo, una cosa es el espiritu del aikido, y otra cosa es esto

  • Interesting work on connections. Takeda Shihan is wordrful with the wakizashi. I Think that he never says he can do it with everyone. What we are seeing is result of lot of year of work togheter. Practicing with a beginner the actions would be very different and very much incisive.

    Tnx

    FB

  • What a load of shit.

I will stand in front of that twat & he can try putting me to the floor. If he can i will give £250 pounds to a good course.

  • @paulsmd ..... paul, if you were standing in front of him, why would he need to put you on the floor? With no energy there is no need, and nothing to steer, to work with?

  • sharp as a blade... as always! thanks for sharing!

  • Stupid shit. That's not Aikido, it's a bunch of dumb ass rolling around on the floor like children.

  • i totally agree, except for the shit, not aikido, dumbass part. but they are rolling around on the floor like children.

  • Thank you for sharing. Good luck in pursuing not-Aikido. But do you really think he believes he can stop anyone by waving at them from across the room?

  • @curlywolf no, he knows that some (experienced aikidoka among them) will walk into his atemi because they are insensitive to the threat. I've seen it happen, especially to people who usually train statically, rely on strength or leverage or pain to control. It's not that he's controlling the uke, they are responding to his movement, in many cases falling away from danger before it's even close. A hazard of this training is that we can end up doing it automatically c.f. responding.

  • @SilkenMasseur hi, i didn't even know there were this many comments here. i'm not sure what you responded to with this message, however, it was said eloquently. thanks for the comment.

  • This is rubbish and part of the reason I'm giving up aikido

  • This isn't Aikido. It's Bullshido.

  • oh very clever kotowaza!

  • other than saying ok one more person, ok now two, etc. he just told them "be strong." or tense up. so i think the point is showing how off balance and weak "strength" can be. one guy is swayed and since everyone is all tensed up it has a domino effect.

  • That's the most ridicules exercise from any martial art I have ever seen. Really a disgrace. That should call themselves, Show CLOWNS for the martial arts world.

  • uhh... good one.

  • Thanks. Do you have any inside info eg what he was saying during the demo, what he's told his students to do, etc.? Are you a student of his? (I've had some contact with him in CA and at his dojo, but over 6yrs ago.)
