Kim wrote different lyrics to this, releasing it on the B-side of "A Thrill A Moment" in 1965l It was called "I'll Never See My Love Again". This recording was released on "Greatest Hits And Rare Classics" in the late 80's. Smokey later recorded it on "Smokey's Family Robinson" with an entirely different arrangement. Chris Clark's version used the same backing track as Kim's.
@pljms Nothing marred Kim's post Motown lps...they are all classic! Amazing the goofy comments some will say about great stuff! Go and trash crap...plenty around
@pljms nothing from Kim Weston is marred & have them all & each feature amazing performances in a wide variety of material which Kim mastered each in brilliant fashion. Kim is awesome live & this amazing talent would have gone to the top if people would have heard her great music but radio wouldn't program many artists who bailed from Motown & this had a bad effect especially on Kim Weston & Mary Wells & this is well known. Big Brass Four Poster is top of my transfer to CD wish list!

This is nice but Chris Clark put her stamp on this one.

That really is a matter of opinion, I love both versions and prefer Vinyl SKF Dave

Beautifully sung with none of the vocal histrionics that occasionally marred her post-Motown albums.

@bradly2007
Saying something was occasionally marred is not trashing it,
something I'd never do to Kim Weston.

@pljms Of course you're right. Nobody is above criticism, not even
Kim Weston, and there'll be others like me who'll agree with you that
she occasionally over did it on those post-Motown albums.
