wubi, on ubuntu, you can dual boot without messing up your pc, what it dose is somthing among the lines of using the windows file system, no partitoning requiered. when you start up your computer it will ask if you want to boot ubunto or windows. if you hate it just go into windows and run the uninstaller.
Thanks !!! but how can i run it in full screen mode. even if i press the full screen mode it becomes black and the ubuntu is still in the small window running as before :(

I just recently installed ubuntu with something called Wubi(an installer that works from windows). I've since uninstalled that and did the dual boot thing on my laptop. it was much easier than i had thought it would be, just follow the instructions and it will have a tool on there to resize your hard drive (this was the first time i did that) and then it will pretty much do the rest for you. Or you can use the Wubi thing to try it out. Wubi is much easier than this video I think.
can you do sort of the oppsite? Try running from Linux Linpus Lite (the linux kernel on Acer Aspire One) via Virtual Box to Windows XP? Will that work?
the memory the virtual box consumes when running a virtual operating system is only consumed when you run the virtual box program right? not permenently
when i hit run on the the installer i get this error, "The windows installer service could not be accessed. This can occur if you are running safe mode of if the windows installer is not correctly installed." But im not in safe mode, can anyone help?
can you show me how to install Flash plug-in on Ubuntu(was Vista)? I have looked at many forums but they dont help. I cant figure how to use the terminal or any of the installers?help please, thanks
