Galloway is right. I have looked into this matter of Iran threatening to wipe Israel off the map. The exact words, in Farsi, uttered by Ahmadinejad on 25 Oct. 2005 were: "Imam ghoft een rezhim-e ishghalgar-e qods bayad az safheh-ye ruzgar mahv shavad." Israel is not spoken of by name, only the regime occupying Jerusalem. There is no mention either of map or wiped out. Correct translation: The Iman said this regime occupying Jerusalem must vanish from the page of time.
