i live in prince edward island and our bag limit is 6. We have beautiful black duck hunts . If we have a flock of 100 blacks theres probably 2-4 mallards which makes it even better because its a challenge. Seeing as pei's an island it makes for alot of ponds , lakes , rivers and farming is huge with tons of corn ,wheat clover everything!
I live in Maine and hunt the coast after October and see 50 blacks to every Mallard...... We take our blacks, and then look for bufflehead basically...

if you want a great black duck opportunity come to northern ontario.. about 1/25 ducks if a black with a 2 black duck limit. its great

That how every hunter should respect all ducks. Only go for the clean kill, if you have to think 3 times, don't.
