  • I like the idea but no one realistically, even when starting out, would move their knight to d7. If white was to push his Queen Pawn to d5, that would encourage Black to develop his/her Knight to d7 at no expense to the Fork/Mate.

  • If he moves to f8 pull out the queen > Check > forced to move to e8 then pull up queen to f7 Checkmate

  • ive never seen grandmasters or any one like 1500+ open with fianchetto first or open with g3

  • Excuse me but the Fianchetto was done from the King's side...

  • Hey Jackasses. Its important to know how to take advantage when someone doesnt play the opening in the correct order. Hes showing you how to take advantage when they dont do that. Alot of you think you're good at chess and wouldnt know how to exploit a weakness cause all you do is memorize book moves and would probably pass up that combination. assholes.

  • gud 1 but most ppl will move da king pawn 1st

  • 4. Bc4 Nd7?? is a blunder.

this is not a trap it's a blunder, a trap is when you can setup a tactical trick, a blunder is when black doesnt know what he's doing...

  • Awesome :D u made me win 5 match in a row with this and using it with the legal trap. good job dude!

  • @yqian321 You found 5 different players move their Knight to d7?!

  • black was going into an opening called the "Hippo" but the flaw is that, black developed the pieces in the wrong order.

  • If King f8 is played, the queen should come out. If black blocks with the bishop or knight black loses the queen. If black moves the king out of check Qf7 would be mate. If the opponent is retarded enough to open like this, they are likely retarded enough to move the king out of the Qf3+ and get mated in one, and if not the queen is still captured.

  • solid video - really shows why you have to be careful playing these hyper-modern systems (especially as black). an early e6 or e5 typically prevents these types of tactics. thanks for the post - by the way, what type of interface are you using to record these videos?

  • If you turn off the sound these are great videos!

  • WOW, are you people really on here arguing about CHESS???!!! I've seen it all now

  • good...blitz players tend to panic when they find their castle under an unfamiliar attack before it has been completed

  • the guy playing black is an imbecile!

  • that's the robastch

  • Very nice video.

  • realistically only retarded children would play those initial moves by black

  • @ohsomecustard You're a retard! Never heard of the Modern Defence????

  • @joydivided23 completely the wrong move order for any of the sound modern defence lines

  • the opening of black in this game is call the "Hippo." not a common opening nowadays. also in this video, black developed his pieces in the wrong order.

  • @ohsomecustard I have seen grandmasters use that opening by black. Highly doubt you have the ground to call them "retarded children"

  • @S1av3z3r0o okay mr. comment-a-year-later

  • Some people miss the whole point of chess trap videos.

  • No one with any chess knowledge would fall for this and violate all the chess basic fundamentals!!! Black... if they played these moves would only know how the pieces move and not how they coordinate together!!! This isn't a trap it's just bad play by black! The level of play is that of someone 15 years old, with a rating of just 1200, and with white is beating up on a 5 year old who only has a rating of 100 and just a knowledge of only how to move the pieces!!! Do these make you feel smart?!

  • what happens if instead of Nd7 its like Nc6 ??? Yes i'm a newbie.... :|

  • It's very useful as many people go for the King's Indian. I will certainly keep that one in mind, thank you very much ! :)

  • who's that sucker who gonna move black knight like this .. this will never happen in reality

  • Even thought white gets black's queen, it's not a fatal blow because black gets white's bishop and knight.

  • @Apjooz a good player will put you to shame with the queen vs 3 of your pieces

  • which dork would make such a stupid move? :P

  • STUCK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! STUUUUCK

  • almost no black player would play this, but black is screwed if he (or she?) plays this

  • @kamcbk3

A "black player" might. See the pun. hehe dont mean to be racist but saw an opportunity yo make a joke. ;D

  • @xenekaro lol

  • @xenekaro It's ok, its only racist if its perceived by the offended race and black people don't play chess.

  • That was nice l like it thanks bro

  • Nice Video!

I will keep that tactics in mind when I play against that opening in the future.

    Thanks again!

  • its informative enough (trouble is 2 kinds of player can open with g6 , the very best that grace the board or a complete idiot) but if you are playing against someone who plays like this (generally speaking)you wont need a fancy trap you will destroy them with standard play (n-d7 is just...)

  • that s a very poor opening for black, not very educative.

  • great video! cheers

  • i just played this line like 12 times in blits chess 3 mins 2 sec increments, not once did i see that trap, but then again it was blitz, but the line is definitely plausble, this guy was actually killing me with this king's indian defense, i mean i didn't have an answer, funny thing is i had more playable position whin i used the same opening for white, g3, kf6, etc...... but anything else saw him take over the center around move 15 and then the game. the reti was ok too only cuz it switches

  • nobodey will do that.... not that anyone that i know of that is.

  • i got one person on this once hahahha. 1400 rated person on yahoo

  • the hippo nigga

if they play the hippo theyll mos likely do those openin moves

  • what if King dont take Bishop?

  • can someone explain the point of a fianchetto and why does such a tactic have its own name -.-

  • @OntologicalQuandary it's a very strong formation to protect the king, and it puts the bishop on an important, long diagonal that also targets the center of the board.

  • i always use that but not to take the queen, i sacrifice the knight to stop castle then everything is down hill from there

  • the knight is being protected by the bishop.

  • cant the king kill the horse why is it a cheack mate?

  • The bishop on c1 is protecting it.

  • c3 bishop protects the horse

  • Good vid if you're looking for quick ways to handle beginners. Otherwise, the chances of you seeing black play this opening are slim. Allowing white to dominate the center of the board like you see here, is just a bad idea in the first place.

  • Even against a beginner you won't meet it... Beginners don't play such moves simply. Or do but rarely

  • isn't it pronounced like feeanketo? Even though it's spelled so complicatedly? Nice trap btw.

  • you need play queen's pawn first if u wnat to bring him in king indian defence

  • If im not mistaken thats Kings indian Defence not Queen Fianchetto

Queens Fianchetto would be something like

    1. e4 b6 2. d4 Bb7 3. Bd3

  • Instead of Nd7 wouldn't most people play Nf6? Seriously, I would. I'm just an intermediate level(if even), but I think Nd7 was a poor move.

  • Yes sure! Black lost his Queen because of this move...

  • I don't think so anyone could fell on this trap...

because no one would use the openings of the black.

    anywaYS nice viDEO!

    so easy to checkate

  • why does it make me laugh, I suppose it shouldn't happen, like slipping on a bananna skin.

  • This is a beauty! I can't wait to sandbag someone with this one! Very nice, thanks for posting!

  • My thoughts exactly

  • If I was black in this game, I would've shitted myself in shame rofl

  • I like to study the traps them arise in positions that seem natural, this is some what natural, I like this one

  • The key is not only knowing one or two traps, but knowing dozens really well and see them developing, that's the problem if u learn 20 u might only use 5 in a year

  • Can one call this a trap if black "traps hisself" ? It has more exactly to be called a mistake, because there is no real trick from white, just a nice combination and the ability to see it coming (even though it is common for a chess player to focus on the weak f7 pawn in every game)

  • ur not human

  • luke dont talk about what you do not know. Even if the king woulnt have taken the bishop the night fork at e6 still captures the queen.

  • kool but no-one and i mean it would play the moves that black played in your video

  • the worst of the traps IS that if u PLAY according to the videos, and the enemie moves something else, the full game is mostly fucked, coz the opening is diferent

  • haha, theres no magic way to just force a win in chess. ok if your oppoennt doesnt fall for some memorized trick of yours then its just a chess game. but whats so bad about chess?

  • I understand what you're saying, but in this case, white's opening (first 4 moves) is just perfect!!

1.Controlling the center with the central pawns,

2.Developing pieces towards the center (knight and bishop in their best spots),

    3.Preparing for castling!

if black doesn't play Nd7, white is perfectly fine with that and can follow with:

    Nc3,0-0, or developing black-square bishop!

  • nice trap if your opponent makes the initial mistakes!

  • Good trap, but who plays king fianchetto without Sf6?

  • Nd7 was a bad move by black because it hangs the pawn on f7, however the blunder which allows white to take blacks queen was not the knight move but capturing whites bishop. 5... Kf8 avoids the trap.

  • Excellent!!!!

  • Great traps keep this up.

  • thanks, feel free to send me a message with a trap, if you find one around the internet, or any variations on stuff ive already put up
