What file format is the HDD ? I have an external case for one 200 GB HDD and it doesn't work with my E7... It has 3 partitions and all 3 are NTFS... they should be FAT32? Or is some other issue? Never tried with other external HDD... It could be awesome if it worked properly...

@1087toni id say so as most external HD without mains power rely on the usb to power it and a mobile simply wouldnt be able to

Hey guys im a hardcore Android fan but im not satisfied with the current handset offerings (hardware wise anyways) what do you think about the N8? is it worth it? i want an excellent camera (stills and vids) excellent media player and photo viewer but since its Symbian its kind of a dealbreaker. I want an iphone but not an Apple made one (get it).

@24ecko as for as what i saw and used the handset i loved the way it works ... even am having motorola milestone and diz device from nokia is totally a great device to have and share your thoughts , pics , vid , with frns world wide and i have to say you can go fa nokia n8 but please iphone is not the device which may satisfy you as you are a android user !

@landvieh7 Especially in the N8s case, the raw CPU power doesn't tell nearly everything. As said, it's a 680Mhz ARM11, but to compare it to some android phones, the Symbian^3 is alot lighter, thus doesn't require that high specs (powerful processor means less battery life), but the N8 is also GPU accelerated, which means alot of the strain from the CPU is transferred on the GPU, meaning that it will suffice having a "lesser" CPU.

I tell you what, I've got N97, the best phone ever, always the highest score over everything, but anyway this video says nothin is shit but I like N8 only because it has got 12MPx and records at 720p, only that, but nothing is better than N97, iphone 4 has got lower score and just came out, HTC HD2 has got lower score and N97 is on the market almost 1 1/2 year and is still the best!!!!!!!

@mauritius147258 I might not carry around a harddrive everywhere but I would carry a USB stick with me to back up data. moreover, if I were to go on holidays, I DEFINITELY would take a harddrive with me, I always do. This is a very useful and handy feature that I'm gonna use alot. Atleast i wouldnt have to delete any data and back up the pics/videos I take without using a computer. the cord is small enough to put into my pocket along with a USB and N8. And Nokia wont abandon....

@mauritius147258 ....Symbian^3 coz it will appear on other C/E and possibly X series devices too. And Nokia hasnt officially said anything about Sym^4 on N8. And because N8 has specs that are good enough and bcoz Symbian doesnt require too much power, they might offer a Sym^4 upgrade for N8.

@engineerhb I think it doesn't support NTFS, I have a Seagate 1.5 TB disk and it is detected by the N8 but when I try to access the disk it appears as corrupted memory. Also I have a 120 GB disk and that one doesn't even connect "Device not supported" or something like that : (

It doesn't recognize the ipod either.

It did work with my keyboard though...

It does play divx and avi, they are limited in size to 4gb though. He shows you on the video that it can play both. The guy who did the video posted this on mynokiablog. com
