When I hear the songs that were in development, it was really a shame that he went a couple steps to far with the drugs (a suicide?). Most of the musicians that died before their time due to drugs, didn't have such a killer album in the works.

Hendrix lives through his music today. I was not aware of the 2009 book. Not that such as thing couldn't happen, however I'm more interested in his music more so than the circumstances that led to his tragic premature death.
