Yes, some people argue singer payer is "more efficient'. I ask - then WHY is medicare/aid BROKE to the tune of $60 Trillion dollars. Govt is NOT efficient. LOOK at this VIDEO! Self dental care?? Yes, that is "efficient" but I DO NOT WANT IT. What is next in efficiency - operate on yourself?

It's clear socialized medicine is less expensive NOT because govt is efficient, but because they DENY/RATION care w/LONG wait times.

I wonder why HC reform bill does NOT contain a SINGLE DIME of money to increase resources. No incentives to become a doc, nurse, physical therapist - it doesn't even provide for ONE single clinic to be built.

WHY is that? Adding tens of millions into the system (increased demand) WHY no increase in SUPPLY??

Reform MUST increase WAIT TIMES and LOWER CARE. Simple really when you're intellectually honest.

@choclabs3 actually i was referring to how dumb this video is. It's really misleading and doesn't show much truth in what it is implying. I live in canada and i study and work in health care. I've never gotten sick and needed to line up or "get a number" like what you've suggested. A lot of Americans take advantage of our health care and actually come to canada to get surgeries and other procedures. Reform does not increase wait times nor adds taxes/penalties.

Q: When you increase demand (40 mil uninsured) while keep supply level or lowering it (AMA 51% of doc plan on retiring b/c of reform) then YOU INCREASE WAIT TIMES and decrease SERVICES.

@choclabs3 Everyone has their own opinion and i'm really grateful that I live in Canada because our health care system saved a number of family members of mine. Now, there are a number of different pros and cons to all health care systems and I believe if you really do weigh them out you'll find that you do save a lot of money in the long run from a single-payer system. It's not socialist. It's just keeping the system more efficient. That's just my opinion.

I'm amazed health care has become so bad in the UK and Canada. I grew up in the Netherlands where health care is still superb and readily available, just like in most European countries. I'm moving to Spain in a few months which is rated #4.

Maybe the government should support better education in the US, Canada and the UK?

I thought the disaster was obvious. It will raise taxes and cause more people to "not" be covered. If your over 65 they will do everything they can to kill you. They won't treat you but they will help you commit suicide though.
