  • The reason they call them "Boston" baked beans is because when you eat them, it makes you fart with a Boston accent ('fahhht'). Sorry, I'm such a silly goose.

  • Actually, calling these "Heinz" beans would be the same as calling "Miller'" beer "Budweiser"...this is actually an ad (circa 1959) for a regional brand, "Homemaker's".

  • Musicals and animation were both popular in their day, so it made perfect sense to combine the two to advertise a product. Those jingles are pretty damn catchy, so I imagine they were highly successful in luring innocent consumers =)
