This is awesome! But I have something more rare; it's the outtake from "The Lost Boys" where Vanian beats the crap out of Kiefer Sutherland and says "Give me a break".
@GeorgeSorass In all of my years of being a fan of the Damned/ related bands, i have never heard of Dave Vanian being involved with the movie The Lost Boys. That's interesting. Do you have it to upload? That would be cool to see.
@GeorgeSorass Upload it for us. I have seen all of the other outtakes for that movie, but have never heard of either Dave Vanian or Julia Roberts ever having any association with that movie. I have not heard of any other damned fan mentioning anything about dave appearing in the lost boys. We would definitely enjoy seeing that.
I went to see these guys many times in the early 90's I always thought that Dave could have pushed the project harder. This was the best line-up, Clyde gave me his sticks at Windsor (The Old Fish?) He was a quality drummer technically very tight but able to improvise as well, sadly missed. Fantastic upload well done.
@Cheekybabe026 I was rather disappointed that Dave resurrected the Phantom Chords name back in the early 2000's, but not the original band members to go with it. Brendan, Roman, Dave, Clyde and Donagh were amazing together. They made an amazing racket and looked super cool doing it. I still want that biker jacket that Dave had back then.

@godlesswickedvanian i have 3 shows from 94, 4 from 95. i have the toe-rag sessions for the second album as well as the 2 television performances they did as well. I also have every television performance the damned did from 1976-2009 as well.
@phantomrider78 I am suprised they never released Polydor! I think that was the better one.
Let me know when you post some more up. I would really like to see the 2 tv performances. I think I have seen just about everything damned. They are my favorite band. I have the show where vanian was on acid on dvd.
@godlesswickedvanian if memory serves, that was Berlin 1980. I will be posting the TV clips soon. The first album was suposedly re-recorded back in 2000, with the line-up that dave took out for 6 shows in California. Bummed that it has not seen any release as well.
@phantomrider78 Luckily I was able to find the whole album. I still think that it's better than the released one. Not so many covers in it, but still the best.
@pedsed not much effort was put into getting the first Phantom Chords album off the ground. Polydor backed out at the last minute and this video was not given to the media outlets (MTV, VH1, etc). It's a shame, because this is from a magnificent album. I have the Canvey Island Allstars album which your brother appears on as well. another great band.
@pedsed Sorry for your loss,I've been playing for yrs. and opened for the Phantom Chords in Phila. he was one of the best drummers i've ever seen.I would have been glad to study w/ Clyde. A nice guy as well.
Ah, it's been SO long since I've been able to see this. MANY, MANY thanks for uploading it! I'd absolutely love to see more of this sort of stuff. ...I seem to remember *two* different Chords television appearances though: Born To Be Wicked and This House is Haunted. Haven't seen the former in a long while either. I have it on VHS, but afraid of ruining the tape (same w/the Johnny Remember Me video)... Thanks again!
NOoooooooo Clyde Dempseys Dead :( He was really a great guy.Great sense of humour, like a big kid :( Sadly this didn't get a great deal of promotion,I followed them on the tour they did around the time of its release. The crowd expected them just to perform Damned hits. They were great in thier own rights. Sadly the polydor album didn't get release either. That was the superior album for me !!!
@psychodamned Yes, it is definitely a sad thing that Mr. Dempsey departed us. I am surprised that Dave Vanian gathered a different group of musicians for that tour and recording session they did in 2000, as Roman Jugg, Brendan Moon and the fellow who replaced Bryn Merrick are great musicians in their own right. The First album is by far more enjoyable to listen to then the second album, not that the second album is bad or anything. The first album is so wonderful, its a shame it is not out.

@phantomrider78 It was all very hush, hush business like Naz Nomad and Julia Roberts stiffed Kiefer Sutherland after she saw it.
