  • Great Song!

  • I love the inclusion of church "wedding" bells in the song, this song always reminds me of weddings even though the song is nothing about weddings.

  • I was seriously born in the wrong time .. I'm 14 and listen to pretty much all 80's .. (:

  • Imagine the day when the woman you loved the most get's married... with another man. Ah, yes, it will happen.

  • Listen to the lyrics of this song, then think of genital warts...suddenly, the song gets HIGHlarious

  • eh, i like the Jim O'Rourke/ Thurston Moore version better.

  • @VaporWolf980 That's a damn good point. Nowadays if MTV does show any music videos or plays any music, it's modern days bullshit! And that's if you get somehow lucky and don't catch trash like "My Super Sweet 16"... *shudders*

  • they stole this from Kanye West

  • @TekoMuto In 1982? Hardly likely.

  • @TekoMuto Yeah. The band hired some guys to go inside Kanye's dreams and steal it.

  • This song is always stuck in my head!!

  • sung it on karoke lol

  • i miss the 80s

  • I didn't know Christian Bale was the lead singer of Naked eyes :)

  • from da 80s, best decade eva.

  • just so you all know it was released in 83'. true 80s classic. beautiful song.

  • linda música- legal demais

  • With due respect to Ms Sandie Shaw, I prefer this version

  • I have a tiny penis :(

  • Huge hit in the 80's. As soon as the first chords began to play, you would immediately get tuned into the rest of the song, impossible to stay still.

  • good song (80) style

  • Comment removed

  • He's rather attractive.

    o 3o

  • whatever dude...

  • i miss you nak

  • It would be cool if Green Day re-sang this song

  • @xXsadlonleykittenXx Why should Green Day revive this song? This is what pop is all about.

  • I love this song it reminds me of my cat's death :'( (I played it when my cat died :'( - I love you Selvester, this song is for you, don't break my heart twice :'( )

  • whoever was saying the 80s were less commercialized than the 90s is retarded. 80's weren't about personal liberation; they were about blowing lines with 100 dollar bills in my michael jordan sneakers and adidas track suit while my brand new 2000$ stereo system pumped Rick Astley.

  • @HoppyBeer at least the time was funner and cooler.

  • People are too lazy to create their own original today.

  • James Cameron is one of the rare Movie writers and directors that can still make anything original put out in the Cinemas today.

  • Kraftwerk and that other French syntheist composer what's his name? from the 1970s had music sound 40-50 years ahead of his time. Thats creativity in music I'm talking about. The same problem with Movie remakes. Everybody in the 1990s and 2000s have to put out remakes because they cannot create or invent anything original in the last 20 years.

  • Music has not creatively changed as originally dramatic in the last 10-15 years. That's reality in this World whether the counterpoint critics want to argue about accepting it or not. Tell me anything sound original in the last decade coming out that has impressed me as much as Sandstorm by Darube in 1998? Zilch. None.

Same old unoriginal uncreative copy crap.

  • I listened to this song over and over again, with tears rolling down face. When my first love in HS broke up with me. There is always something there to remind me of the crush and then the love loss...

  • love this song

  • i'm obsessed with this song :/ and i'm happy about that :)

  • MY SONG TODAY

    !!!!!!!!

  • boy good ole mtv day's.

  • this is actually a sixties song, by Cila Black..:)

  • @mysteryteacher9 You're right there. This song was a cover by Naked Eyes, and it was written by Burt Bacharach.

  • if i had the choice...if i had my way... i'd ONLY relive the memories my soul longed for in the first place... freakin' past lives... holy shite ... now just shut da fuk up morons and hand me my inflate-a-shady ; i'm still ticking after it all... I CANNOT FRIGGIN' STAND GOY BEORGE ... thank god he's canklet barb wired to London

  • Nobody appreciates music anymore, back in the day music was all about every single little detail in the song. Now it's all just a cluttered mess, I mean some of it is nice, but nothing can compare to 80s music, this is what's to be appreciated. WORD.

  • @xmelissa801x oh yes. I really love John Mayer's music and some of Justin's. Timberlake, NOT Beiber! But most of it is just about money and image now. It's not about the music anymore. Now this song SCREAMS early 80s. lolz. I can't get the image of permed hair and big huge glasses out of my mind. lmao.

  • How doesn't this have more views?

  • R.I.P. Rob Fisher

  • luv dis song.... :)

  • really miss this song....remind old days...80's rock....= )

  • I love 80's music, but just so you know, the decade itself sucked.

  • @templeofned For what aspect of the 80's did it suck?

  • @Supersweetguy People were not as culturally aware as they were in the 90's or the new millennium. There were artists doing innovative stuff, but it was largely underground. To give an example, in the late 80's everybody was listening to Motley Crue and Skid Row. In the early 90's, it was Pearl Jam and Nirvana. Big difference in lyrical content and musical composition.

  • @templeofned Okay. No need to fight but the 80's were different than the 90's.

  • @Supersweetguy they were. I was going to add that there is a lot of 80's music that I like.

  • @templeofned You're way off. First you're talking about two completely different genre's of music, so you make no sense. Second, the 80's gave us Jane's Addiction, Bauhaus, Joy Division, Pixies, and also Pearl Jam and Nirvana (who idolized Pixies). Just because you didn't catch on until it became mainstream in the 90's doesn't mean these bands weren't around and popular in the 80's. And 80's New Wave bread Alternative in the 90's, Ask any of those bands who they molded themselves after.

  • @djkitt All I said was that the good music in the 80's was underground. Why was it underground? Why did it become mainstream in the 90's? My guess would be that the culture changed. It didn't suck anymore.

What was I listening to in the 80's? What does this song mean to me? Why do I like it? Do I give a shit what genre it's in? Do you?

  • @templeofned You said people were not as culturally aware. That's a bold statement considering the 60's, 70's and 80's were all about personal liberation. The 90's thru to today has been about nothing but commercialization of everything, not culture. There is no culture anymore. And comparing Sid Row and Motley Crue to Perl Jam and Nirvana, those are two different genres of music. The people who brought your music to the 90's came from the 80's.

  • @djkitt Ok. You have your opinion. I got mine. Have a good one.

  • @djkitt Actually all forms of Entertainment have become that. Money and Materialism are the God that rules Planet Earth infinately more than the Spiritual and Liberation value.

  • @djkitt

Ned, he is not knocking music from the 1990s thru to today.

  • why would u say the new music kinda sucks there is nothing good at all about todays music the 60's 70's 80's an 90's had it all

  • Yes this music is the real stuff! Literally, mostly all the newer music people make is fake and sounds stupid. Even the singers voice! If they suck, they shouldn't waist there time trying to fix the voice with a digitally enhanced voice r whatever.. This is the real stuff when you go to the concerts and the singers still sound as great as you here them on the radio.

    We were so young.

    KR,

    ~~""

  • pop crushed the classics...even though i never lived in the 80s i feel the pain of the older ppl who lived in the 80s...doesnt anyone agree the music nowadays ruined the good music?

  • back to 80, the best time of world music.

  • i remember my parents listening to this song! but please everyone don't hate on the new music. everyone's afraid of change and always thinks new is shit. blame the media for ruining the view on music. just look for some underground and you'll definitely find something you'll like. it just takes a little effort is all. be the better person and be open minded. :)
