The "world" in the scriptures is not the planet as we think of it... it was the Old Covenant Law system & it's leaders.

Check out John 15:18-25... it talks of the "world" hating & persecuting Jesus and His disciples.... in verse 25 it states: 25but -- that the word may be fulfilled that was written in their law -- They hated me without a cause.

In their LAW... the OC Jews had the law, not the Gentiles.

World = OC system...

That's the whole point Kcenhguor...

We can't focus on Jesus and our sins at the same time... whatever we focus on is what we become more of.

So by focusing on our sins, we sin even more... but by focusing on Jesus and not our sins / shortcomings, we become more like Jesus day by day.

If we could sin less or not at all just by trying harder, then there would be no need for what Christ did!
