Spektrum DX8 - Airplane Setup

hi can i ask you something about the dx8.i have the dx8 dsmx version the latest model. i tried to use orange rx but the range is very limited.what do you think?with the genuine rx dsmx i got good range.thx for your help in advance

@highhopes75 First of all in my life there are no such thing as Orange recivers. Orange recivers works great on DSM2 system but with DSMX they suck.. really. When you have a radio like DX8 i would only buy original recivers. For indoor the orange recivers are ok. But i would never use them my self. Bengt

@ArcticRc thanks for your help. i asked you because on my dx6i dsm2 i never got any range issues but when i bought the dx8 dsmx latest version i tried it on a velocity wing and crashed x2

hi can you tell me how can i mix the throttle with the elevator on the dx8because i have a thunder tiger velocity and when i reach 3 quarter of the throttle it goes up in the skies.i am a bit new to the dx8.regards

@highhopes75 im not sure that i know what you mean. I would get the plane in the air and trim the elevator so that she flies stright at Half throttle. All planes should climb after half throttle. Mixing with elevator and throttle is a bit scary even for me hehe

@highhopes75 No problem sir. Do it like i told you. If the CG of your plane is perfect it will fly straight at 50% throttle. If you wanna do low high speed passes you can even trim the plane so that i will go straight at full throttle. Have a nice flight sir

Men har problem med at når jeg skal koble en forlenger ledning inn i en servo. Fungerer med vanlige servoledningen men ikke med forlenger. Er snakk om Flaps servoene og Alieron.

At 5:25 you do not need to fully trim down the throttle this is only depend on the model. I have no models what so ever that requires the throttle to be fully trim all the way down.

At 4:10 22 ms second can be used for both Analog and Digital where as 11ms can ONLY be used with digital sevor BUT also requires a compatible receiver.

Which ever you select wont matter if the receiver is not compatible with 11ms.

At 3:14 Normal wing type selection iis for a main wing with a SINGLE SERVO. If you have dual servo on Y harness you shold get rid of it and connect each servo in its channel then select Dual Aileron Wing type.

I left out to tell that Throttlecut shuts down the engine and is used for Nitro/gas engines. Throttle hold is used for electric and nitro. Hold makes engine just idle on nitros and cuts power for electric engine. These two settings must be asigned to different switches. You don't wanna cut your nitro engine during autos.
