Usually when conservative people call a black person racist, they're projecting. For example, Glenn Beck calling Obama "racist". Although there is no such evidence, there are mountains of clips of Glenn Beck making subtle racist remarks about not only blacks, but Obama himself.

What a complete and total fucking waste of resources. Hey lets take a situation and blow it way out of proportion so it gets national attention. What just because the so called "victim" Professor Gates is buddies with the president, they think it's worth of news coverage? Give me a break, people get arrested everyday. Shit like this is the reason we are in the shape we're in. How about the "officials" start focusing on what matters. Nobody gives a shit about this.

It isn't a waste of time. The cop and the prof get to visit the WH and that is something not many can say they did. Obama gets to show that he is working on race relations and that can't be bad. It wasn't meant to solve a problem as much as just a symbolic gesture.
