HAHA... I was actually at this game over 10 years ago. What a shocker. I think this win actually put Boise State on the map. Fresno State was ranked #10 during this game and was undefeated, beating Colorado, Oregon St, and Wisconsin earlier in their schedule.

@werxin Learn facts, Boise State has 2 national championships. 1 in 1958 in the Junior College level and 1 on the D-1AA level in 1980. No its not an FBS championship, but still national championships. Am I wrong? And Boise State swept Fresno states ass not only in football, but in Mens Basketball, Volleyball, and more then likely other sports as well last year.

Their run in Division I-AA before this is not even relevant, because noone outside of Idaho even cared about that. Even before this game, they were a .500 team at best. Their run to national prominence started here, on this night, when they beat Fresno State.

As a Fresno State fan and alumnus, this...of all the losses, including the ASSWHOOPINS Boise has laid on us up in Idaho, is the worst. This was Fresno State's best team with the best player in college football...and we blew it. That Hawaii game the following week was a hangover from this loss. 35-30 will always sting because if we just handled our business, with the schedule we had that year, Fresno could've been in the Fiesta, Orange, MAYBE EVEN the National Championship game. It was there...

Only thing that's funny is that you few people keep calling it a cheap shot. Cheap shots are only on QB's and kickers, and of course hits after the whistle. I've seen guys take harder hits in rugby, and they don't even wear pads. No one goes around screaming "cheap, cheap, cheap" like they're some sort of paper salesman. This is why football is slowly becoming a pansy sport, where players like Favre, Owens, and Ochocinco can do what they want and players can rub nuts to butts.
