Christ is the only founder of any religion that claims divinity. Mohamad never made this claim, and I speak this with sincere reverence. Either Christ was insane, or He was who He said He was. If He was insane, then so were the apostles because they all went to horrific deaths over the claim of the resurrection. Why would these simple men go to such deaths over a lie? Were they all delusional? Mohamad left no evidence for us to seek, again I say this with sincere reverence. Christ did. Go seek.
Since God make us like himself,so we have His likeness in term of spirit. We can't see our spirit and in any religion, when our body is dead,we still believe that our spirit will live on.Jesus talk abt food for soul. That is the real intention.N y u go babling abt God eat?He eat as He was in flesh &blood.Jesus is God himself as The Words of God IS HIS.My simple Ques for u.how on earth will u trust someone who cant read nor write and saying that he is telling u the truth?
Jesus is the temple god made with out hands to dwell in jesus's body was perfect and the spirit of life was in him. and he gave his body up so you could get forgiveness. jesus is the son of god his flesh was perfect just like adams was before adam sined against god, adam was called a son of god, do you know what makes a person a son of god, being with out sin and jesus was with out sin. gods childen use to go to temples to worship god, now gods childen go to the body of jesus
Muslims believe in the first 5 books of the OT right, well Jesus or God did eat with Abraham read Genesis 18. A summary of the story. 3 men were on their way to destroy Sodom and Gomorrah . one was God or Jesus and the other were 2 angels . they all eat with Abraham. one stayed to speak to Abraham and 2 when to destroy Sodom and Gomorrah .
8 So he took butter and milk and the calf which he had prepared, and set it before them; and he stood by Gen Then the men turned away from.....
2 John 1:7 - For many deceivers have gone out into the world who do not confess Jesus Christ as coming in the flesh. This is a deceiver and an antichrist.
Revelation 1:8 - “I am the Alpha and the Omega, the Beginning and the End,” says the Lord, “who is and who was and who is to come, the Almighty.”
Revelation 22:13 - “I AM the Alpha and the Omega, the Beginning and the End, the First and the Last.”... 22:16 - “I, Jesus, have sent My angel to testify to you these things in the churches.”
Titus 2:13 - looking for the blessed hope and glorious appearing of our great God and Savior Jesus Christ
Hebrews 1:8,9 - But to the Son He (God) says: “Your throne, O God, is forever and ever; A scepter of righteousness is the scepter of Your kingdom. You have loved righteousness and hated lawlessness; Therefore God, Your God, has anointed You with the oil of gladness more than Your companions.”
Philippians 2:5-7 - Let this mind be in you which was also in Christ Jesus, who, being in the form of God, did not consider it robbery to be equal with God, but made Himself of no reputation, taking the form of a bond-servant, and coming in the likeness of men.
1 Timothy 3:16 - And without controversy great is the mystery of godliness: God was manifested in the flesh, Justified in the Spirit, Seen by angels, Preached among the Gentiles, Believed on in the world, Received up in glory.
John 14:6-7 - Jesus said to him, “I AM the way, the truth, and the Life. No one comes to the Father except through Me.”
John 14:9-11 - Jesus said to him, “Have I been with you so long and yet you have not known Me, Philip? He who has seen Me has seen the Father; so how can you say, 'Show us the Father'?”
John 20:28 - And Thomas answered and said to Him, “My Lord and my God!”
John 10:30-33 - Jesus answered them, “I and My Father are one.” Then the Jews took up stones again to stone Him. Jesus answered them, “Many good works I have shown you from My Father. For which of those works do you stone Me?” The Jews answered Him, saying, “For a good work we do not stone You, but for blasphemy, and because You, being a Man, make Yourself God.”
John 5:17,18 - “My Father has been working until now, and I have been working.” Therefore the Jews sought to kill Him, because He not only broke the Sabbath, but also said that God was His Father, making Himself equal with God.
John 5:23 - that all should honor the Son just as they honor the Father. He who does not honor the Son does not honor the Father who sent Him.
Okay. Jesus Christ went to the cross for our sins. He died for us and resurrected on the third day (Sunday). I have scriptures that Jesus is God: Isaiah 43:10,11 - “You are My witnesses,” says the Lord, “And My servant whom I have chosen, That you may know and believe Me, and understand that I am He. Before Me there was no God formed, Nor shall there be after Me. I, even I, am the Lord, and besides Me there is no Savior.”
Revelation 1:17-18; Revelation 2:8 - (Jesus is the First and the Last)
according to christianity if the angels had saved him then they would have stopped the sacrafice for sins. Jesus gave himself up to be a sacrifice to atone for the sin of man. he was not taken against his will. also God is omnipresent so his presence can be felt all through the universe including heaven when christ was on earth. all these questions you have can easily be answered if you went to a local theologian and asked him or her.
@taano71 I can tell you that Allah and Elohim are not the same God. Allah provides a small chance of salvation through works. Elohim provides salvation through one eternal sacrifice. Remember that Jesus allowed himself to die to be a sacrifice. The concept of an all knowing and all powerful being hints at the fact that this deity can do whatever it likes and break any rules of nature and reason. so a loving God took form of flesh while still having spiritual form in heaven .
Since you Love Quotes The gospel of John let us see "I cannot do anything of myself. I judge as I hear, and my judgment is honest because I am not seeking my own will but the will of him who sent me." [ John 5:30 ] Jesus said: My doctrine is not my own; it comes from him who sent me.'' [ John 7:16 ] this is proof jesus he' is not a God
@taano71 jesus was only saying his flesh did not have power over him only the love for life, and his life and his fathers was the same, meaning he had the same will god had god is life . now god is spirit and the spirit needed a temple to dwell in and that temple was jesus
I believe I have answered all of your questions, would you be willing to answer just one of mine? If you would like I could restate them in a consensed format in order to facilitate?
To answer the Sodom question. Jesus did not come to Earth to kill and destroy. Jesus came to bring humanity back in to reconciliation to the Father. Jesus healed people who would not follow Him, dined with the same people who would later cry crucify Him, and even kept company with Judas who would betray Him. Jesus' life was centered around revenge and reprobate, but rather grace and mercy to an undeserving people. It is easy to convert people by the sword, but not as easy to convert in pure love
The Father had given The Son over to death in order to make final atonement for all sins as was done in the blood covenant of the old; this foreshadow can be seen in the story Abraham and Isaac as well as other passages.
were not those sacrafices in the old testament part of the old law or covnant? they were. Jesus himself told his followers to keep the law and commandments.
The Mark, Matthew, and Acts references do not serve to speak against Jesus as the Son in the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit triune. If your assumption is that Jesus is saying He is not part of the God head, they you must be saying the Holy Spirit is not equally part as well.
I do not beleive holy sprite was part of God this is your beleive Whoever Yet Again More Further Additional Proof welcomes me welcomes, not me, but him who sent me."
I have not come of myself. I was sent by One who has the right to send, and him you do not know. I know him because it is from him I come; he sent me.'' [ John 7:28-29 ] Unfortunately you can't see
For is only the Father in heaven is God and knows when the end time will come, then the Holy Spirit does not know either yet you acknowledge the men and women in the upper room on Pentecost were lead by the same Holy Spirit that lead the apostles to speak before the assembly in Acts Chapter 3.
You failed to mention that in the same chapter of Acts, versus 14-16 where the apostles acknowledge that Jesus was Holy and The Righteous One ( good ). Also, the same apostles that told of the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob also said in verse 16 that Jesus name and faith in Him healed the crippled beggar ( not God or Allahs name, but Jesus name ).
You falsely said that they continued worshiping in not in Jesus name, but of the God of Abraham. This is only partially true. Their instruction in the first Chapter of Acts was all the way through to your reference was to wait and pray to receive the Holy Spirit. Once they received the Holy Spirit they shared the Gospel of Jesus to the crowd and 3000 were saved in Jesus name.
You say Christians should revile the cross because it was used as an instrument to kill Jesus. Muhammad died because of the elements of planet Earth, as part of the natural order of life; should you not revile life and nature? The cross did not kill Jesus, the Romans and the Jewish Zealots were allowed by Jesus Himself to kill Him. Jesus said to no man takes my life, I freely give it. The Christian crusades were an atrocity to Jesus' name, but the true Gospel was spread by the peaceful laying
Christians came to the mistaken assumption that Muslims worship Muhammad by formulating an incorrect analogy - you worship Jesus so you assumed Muslims worship Muhammad you said "Jesus Himself to kill Him" Why did Jesus cry out, My God, My God, why have you forsaken Me?Did Jesus Refer To Himself As "GOD"?
clearly if God were to kill all of His "enemies", then the earth would not be populated by people who curse His name and revile those who seek His kingdom such as you and myself. I believe we are children of God and it is by grace and mercy alone that we were even given this day because I know that I, in all of my unrightousness, am not worthy of my next breath in comparison to a completely and truely rightous God. Before you had revelation of God were you not an enemy as well?
I apologize that I do not recognize the passage where you state the bible says God is not a man. What I do know is that Jesus, referenced by the eyewitness John 10:25-29, says He is the Son of God The Father and in verse 30 says that The Father and He are one.
Have you read the Bible? In case you haven't. Let Me Quote Your Bible Juses was a men Marks Gospel also reveals that Jesus had limitations in his knowledge. In Mark 13:32, Jesus declared that he himself does not know when the last day will occur, but the Father alone knows that (see also Matthew 24:36). It is clear from these verses that the knowledge of Jesus was limited
Furthermore, we are told in the Acts of the Apostles in the Bible that the disciples were being guided by the Holy Spirit. If Jesus is God, surely they should know it. But they did not. They kept worshipping the one true God who was worshipped by Abraham, Moses, and Jesus (see Acts 3:13).
The Almighty God can be anything He wants to be. If He created all things by a single word or even thought, how then is it not possible that God could be a man? Anyone who subscribes to the omnipotence of God cannot say that God is limited by any state of being.
The Almighty God can do anything, but it's meaningless to say that Can god be come a sneak. Or cry does he ? God is holy because He is perfect, righteous and without faul. Therefore God does Good.
The power to destroy your enemies and actually doing so are two completely separate things. To say that Jesus was not God because He did not destroy His enemies does not prove He was not God, but rather only adds to the validity that Jesus was more like God than any other man who has ever walked the face of this earth;
He not only did not destroy His enemies, He allowed His enemies to destroy Him and still asked The Father to forgive them of their sins whole hanging on the cross. Those who crucified Him were not His enemies, but rather they He was an enemy of theirs.
Even Abraham, the one who you call great Prophet, was commanded to sacrifice animals in order to atone for the sins of Gods people by blood covenant and did as he was commanded; this is not a scarcely nor obscurely know fact. Before the Savior Jesus laid His life down on the cross, Heaven was attainable only by acts or works, and not by faith alone.
Works based righteousness has never been, nor ever will be an acceptable atonement for the sinful soul of human beings to co-habitate in the glory and presence of the Almighty God. Even Abraham, as great a man as he was, was not even able to look directly at God in all of His glory because of the sin upon his shoulders.
The Lord Jesus was physically laid in the grave for 3 days, but before His death, He told the thief hanging next to Him that very day the thief would join Jesus in Paradise, Abrahams Bosom. The true testament to the resurrection is the eyewitness accounts of thousands of non-believers seeing Jesus, as well as a group of coward apostles who scattered after Jesus burial, but miraculously changed their lives after seeing Him first hand after His resurrection.
We are not talking about a group of people who were made fun of my their society for their beliefs, all remaining 11 minus John were tortured and KILLED for their belief.
I am a follower of Christ and do not adorn a cross, pray towards, nor kiss one. The repulsiveness of the cross is only a reminder how much Jesus loved me when He suffered and died upon it. Jesus' grave is empty and that fact has never been proved otherwise. Explain that for me please.
Thank you Jesus Christ for dying for my sins though I am less than unworthy. And thank you for dying for Muslims, Jews, Buddhist, Daoist, Athiest, Scientologist, and every other ims, ist, and ........... !
Why would an all-powerful God need to send His own son to die for all of our sins to allow us into heaven? This notion is somewhat ludicrous. Its pointless, really. God is, presumably, quite capable and could easily wipe the slate clean without this pointless symbolic act. Whats the point, really? Justice? What kind of justice is sending your son to die for the sins of the world?
Muslims pray to Mecca - pray to a man who passed away long ago from the infirmities of life on Earth. Should the Muslims not revile everything on Earth as they very elements they live and pray towards contributed to their messengers death? How then is this different from Christians praying towards a Cross?
Muslims believe that the Kaaba is the holiest place on earth. It is generally thought to have been built by Prophet Abraham. It is used only as a focal point for prayer (not worshiped) and simply signifies a direction, imposed by God to maintain unity and uniformity among worshipers. Can a man be god ? The bible says strongly : God is not a man...nor a son of ... Then we don't believe that he claimed or accepted to be god or a son of god )) ... and doesn't have the power to destroy his enemies.
It is logical to believe that a sinful man such as Muhammad and a magical horse could commune with the Almighty God in heaven, but not logical for the Almighty God to commune with sinful man here on Earth? God created the heavens and the earth, therefore He rules in complete dominion over all. Do you not have the right to visit your own backyard because that is where the dogs lay? You own the yard and master over the dogs. God is God whever He is; Earth, Heaven, Parallel Universes - Everywhere
Yes, he does daily and he also heals people in front of me from cancer and AIDS. This is how I know God is real and all of his prophecies have come true.
My freind Doesn't Jesus warn you that in the end times false Christs and false prophets will work miracles, and they will be so deceptive, they will "deceive if possible even the elect"? Therefore isn't it dangerous to follow people who work miracles today? Might we be deceived into following a false prophet? What do miracles prove anyway? Since there can be true miracles and false miracles, miracles alone can never prove anything.
Yes, he does warn of false prophets. He also warns of what the signs of false prophets are. Prophets in general have the gift of prophecy. The only problem is when a demonic spirit tries to prophecy to people. It's prophecies are wrong. They may be true sometimes but other times they are incorrect. Only God can make a prophet that is correct 100% of the time. I can tell you have studied this for many years though. I should study these things more in depth too. i'm getting there lol
ok, the cross thing...blown out of proportion entirely. First of all, the cross is symbolic of the sacrifice that we, as christians make. We put to death our sins on the cross and start over born again in Christ. You have no proof of any of your claims. I can give solid evidence for my beliefs that would atleast make you question yours. I don't have to question your beliefs, just give you solid evidence that supports the bible and the fact that Jesus claimed and did all these things.
also, when the romans did this it was adopted as the symbol of christianity for the fact that we were saying that we would let ourselves be crucified just like Christ was. Check your facts please. Please don't be a fanatic and have an open mind to these things please. God bless you.
jendrew3 you have a "solid evidence" Produce your proof if ye are truthful.Let's Reason Together is not called a "FANATIC" As you said .. I'd rather do it through logic and reasoning
I don't necessarily think you are a fanatic. I wish to reason. It's just that I may have come across rude because that video offended me slightly especially with the cross thing. I would give you scienctific facts such as the fact that the bible said the air has weight and apportions the waters by measure which was not known scientifically until somewhere in the last few hundred years, but I'm sure you could do the same with your verses. Prophecy on the other hand is die-hard proof, I think.
socdk, Please provide evidence on your claim. We Muslim we believe that 2+2=4, but you believe in illogical things like 2+2=9. "In the name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate.
Say (O Muhammad) He is God the One God, the Everlasting Refuge, who has not begotten, nor has been begotten, and equal to Him is not anyone."
What claims? You're talking nonsense. Okay, first read my post, then read the bible.
I am by no means a christian or of any other religious beliefs. Odd that you should mention that you believe 2+2=4 when you believe in fictional characters like "gods".
What is your point with this propaganda? IF your god is real, then surely he will punish and sort the infidels right? WHY are you so keen on questioning others? Are you insecure about your "god" or are you just an evil person?
Jesus was God made manifest into his own creation.
This is God we're talking about. When God 'died' on the cross it was just like waking up from a bad dream for Him. This is why He was able to resurrect three days later, because He could return to manifest within His creation at a later date.
Think about this, maybe Matthew, Mark, and Luke were not present at the time Jesus claimed to be one with God, but they believed He was nonetheless. Son of God means God was manifested through Jesus in human flesh, so therein lies the fact that God the Father is not a separate entity from the Son. Jesus did say "If you've seen me, you've seen the Father."
Funny how man can make perfect copies of himself and organs in his body by use of DNA...But I guess YHVH is just to stupid to do anything greater than man...maybe you just need to get your mind out of the seventh century!
There is no heaven or hell. What its matter is how you live your life and how you treat others in this life. No created will allowed to be abused nor abused his creation.
Did you ask your selves what if the creation out last the creator and life become a infinite loop. Every great man is been remembered of what they done some even more exalted than others.
i stop to debate for this guy's do u know why their holybook bibble teach them tat the earth is flat and also heavens have get apilars even the earth has apilar so how u tell this brainwashed ones the truth even they r not read their book
we as muslim we beleiv jesus as aprophet pbuh
and all other prophets but as cris.they r deaf dumb and blind so they r return not
Yes, Still Jesus is God. If you want to understand this what you talk about you need to understand the TRINITY, then you will get your answer. Jesus died for our sins, but God the Father who is in the throne of Heaven and the Holy Spirit never die...they are eternal. So what you ask here is false. Hope you will correct yourself. If you not belive Jesus is God, you will die with your own sin and live in hell forever.
tomgas62.why god would go to the even greater lengths of sending his son into the world in order that he should be agonisingly for the sins that mankind might decide to commit at some time in future surely one of the single nastiest ideas ever to occur to a human mind (paul's,of course) we never wondered why god, if he wanted to forgive our sins, didn't just forgive us.why did he have to scapegoat himself first?
Because He loves us so much, He submitted Himself to come into this earth, to wash our sins away, sure, if He wanted He could have just vanished sin, but He wanted to prove to His creation, that He was willing to come to the earth He created, and die for His creation. And He came back to life.
To be correct taano, why He did this, i something none of us will ever understand. I Love Him for What He did. Sir, your father could say he can buy you something, but words aren't enough. Actions are.G.B
viified4God1. That's the problem. As per most christians, God had to die to wash off our sins, but did God die? No. Then a man died? yes. Back to square one, if man dies, it is not good enough, God had to die. oooops a bit confusing isn't it?
Jesus was the son of God. He was of God like you are of your father. You have the notion that God controls everything, which he doesn't. You also have the notion that since Jesus was a man that he was not of God. People are giving you answers you seek yet you blindly ignore them the same way you think christians blindly believe in the gospel.
If you not belive Jesus is God, you will die with your own sin and live in hell forever.
you ask these questions, but every one of them can be found in a scan of only the gospels... Your condencension tells me that no matter the answer you would not believe. You can find yourselves referenced in Mark 8:6-13.
No need to worry any longer my manipulated gullible freaks.religion is actually being threatened by the true "enlightenment"which is atheisim.Free thinkers and those who wont subscribe to religion because of its contradictions are waking up the horrible realizations of what a thecoarcy can do to ones mind.
how near sighted are you oh fool? do you honestly believe that things are as simple as you try to make them? you are poisoned by a person who tells you who to love and hate. beyond being Christian or muslam you should know that people are people. to hate somebody for being different is wrong. if you fail to see that then you are doomed by justice. the world will not bow to the intolerant.
It is the symbol of the death of many, many Jews. That is why the Christian myth fostered by Titus Flavius Vespasianus, both Father and Son, is so loved by the world...because it means the death of Jews!
12:10 "I will pour out on the kingship of David and the population of Jerusalem a spirit of grace and supplication so that they will look to me, the one they have pierced. They will lament for him as one laments for an only son, and there will be a bitter cry for him like the bitter cry for a firstborn.
you can tell the fruits of the tree by what type of fruit it bears. a good tree doesn't bear bad fruit. you can't go two lines without swearing at someone because your ideas are intellectually bankrupt. you dont teach about the goodness of the Tanakh because there it is not in you to do that. all you do is critique others and insult others.
jews can be asked the same question as to why the messiah has not come yet, according to their beliefs. the Jews have suffered alot since the prophets.
Owned first by the Jews, of whom it is REALLY speaking, despite what Hebrew-illiterate Christians who persecuted Jews to their deaths wanted to think about it.
Christians are not Hebrew illiterate anymore. I have never persecuted a Jew, let alone to their death so your bigoted arguement doesnt fit me. you are an angry little man, locked in his library stewing about everyone else. while you have gone on about how terrible everyone else is, you've failed to notice the plank in your own eye.
you say owned first by the Jews. i say that the church was founded by jews. so what is it saying about the jews, since thats what you believe it to be. back up your assertion.
you can't block me here you coward uziyahuidf. there is no footnote in the oldest text that says, "stop, this is messianic" but why would that matter to someone who doesnt believe in the afterlife? you are just an angry, bitter person and this is your vent.
you dont have real discussions on your page because you are too much of a coward to have a discussion with anyone, you just block them. you blocked me and then responded to all of my comments. how courageous
hint, you think Daniel is influenced by Pagans! you dont believe in most of the prophets. any real jew would be offended by a mosque on the temple mount, but you embrace it. basically you are a lunatic, a groupie. i will take criticism from real jews and i have no problem apologizing for what the earlier christians did. you are not connected to the jews in that manner. those people who died were not your relatives. step off groupie
I don't "embrace" the Al-Aqsa Mosque. It's a REALITY! It is THERE, and no "real jew" has done anything about it. Your "fundamentalist Christian" brother tried to burn it down, but I guess "God" wasn't with him to prosper his hand, was he?
You need to get off the fence uaziyahuidf. either go all the way with being a jew or step off. as it is, you complain about everyone incessently. you try to surround yourself with all things Jewish but you wont commit to being a Jew. you are a groupie at best.
As for the believers, who do deeds of righteousness, He will pay them their rewards in full, and He will give them more, of His bounty; as for them who disdain and wax proud, them He will punish with a severe punishment, and they shall not find for them, apart from God, a friend or helper. (4:171-3)
To Him belongs all that is in the heavens and in the earth, God suffices for a guardian. The Messiah will not disdain to be a servant of God, neither the angels who are close to Him. Whosoever disdains to serve Him and waxes proud. He will assuredly muster them to Him, all of them

The only miracle Jesus show to Jews is the sign of Jonah
And Mary knew Jesus Christ is not died
the 3th day she went to Jesus Christ to give Jesus Christ a massage
Then when she saw Jesus, she went to the Disciple and told them Jesus is alive
and not that he is resurrected
Well many Christians do believe that Christ never died.

I, even I, am the Lord, and besides Me there is no Savior.”

according to christianity if the angels had saved him then they would have stopped the sacrafice for sins.

RelyonChrist7 2 years ago

The Mark, Matthew, and Acts references do not serve to speak against Jesus as the Son in the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit triune. If your assumption is that Jesus is saying He is not part of the God head, they you must be saying the Holy Spirit is not equally part as well.

For is only the Father in heaven is God and knows when the end time will come, then the Holy Spirit does not know either yet you acknowledge the men and women in the upper room on Pentecost were lead by the same Holy Spirit that lead the apostles to speak before the assembly in Acts Chapter 3.
RelyonChrist7 2 years ago
You failed to mention that in the same chapter of Acts, versus 14-16 where the apostles acknowledge that Jesus was Holy and The Righteous One ( good ). Also, the same apostles that told of the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob also said in verse 16 that Jesus name and faith in Him healed the crippled beggar ( not God or Allahs name, but Jesus name ).
RelyonChrist7 2 years ago

Christians came to the mistaken assumption that Muslims worship Muhammad by formulating an incorrect analogy - you worship Jesus so you assumed Muslims worship Muhammad you said "Jesus Himself to kill Him" Why did Jesus cry out, My God, My God, why have you forsaken Me?Did Jesus Refer To Himself As "GOD"?
taano71 2 years ago
clearly if God were to kill all of His "enemies", then the earth would not be populated by people who curse His name and revile those who seek His kingdom such as you and myself. I believe we are children of God and it is by grace and mercy alone that we were even given this day because I know that I, in all of my unrightousness, am not worthy of my next breath in comparison to a completely and truely rightous God. Before you had revelation of God were you not an enemy as well?
RelyonChrist7 2 years ago
I apologize that I do not recognize the passage where you state the bible says God is not a man. What I do know is that Jesus, referenced by the eyewitness John 10:25-29, says He is the Son of God The Father and in verse 30 says that The Father and He are one.
RelyonChrist7 2 years ago
Have you read the Bible? In case you haven't. Let Me Quote Your Bible Juses was a men Marks Gospel also reveals that Jesus had limitations in his knowledge. In Mark 13:32, Jesus declared that he himself does not know when the last day will occur, but the Father alone knows that (see also Matthew 24:36). It is clear from these verses that the knowledge of Jesus was limited
taano71 2 years ago
Furthermore, we are told in the Acts of the Apostles in the Bible that the disciples were being guided by the Holy Spirit. If Jesus is God, surely they should know it. But they did not. They kept worshipping the one true God who was worshipped by Abraham, Moses, and Jesus (see Acts 3:13).
taano71 2 years ago
The Almighty God can be anything He wants to be. If He created all things by a single word or even thought, how then is it not possible that God could be a man? Anyone who subscribes to the omnipotence of God cannot say that God is limited by any state of being.
RelyonChrist7 2 years ago
The Almighty God can do anything, but it's meaningless to say that Can god be come a sneak. Or cry does he ? God is holy because He is perfect, righteous and without faul. Therefore God does Good.
taano71 2 years ago
The power to destroy your enemies and actually doing so are two completely separate things. To say that Jesus was not God because He did not destroy His enemies does not prove He was not God, but rather only adds to the validity that Jesus was more like God than any other man who has ever walked the face of this earth;

Why did god punish Sodom and Gomorrah? and yet he doesn't those who kill him isn't that wierd.

Jesus name is synonymous with God and the Holy Spirit as they are equally God therefore it had and still has the power to heal and save.
RelyonChrist7 2 years ago
He not only did not destroy His enemies, He allowed His enemies to destroy Him and still asked The Father to forgive them of their sins whole hanging on the cross. Those who crucified Him were not His enemies, but rather they He was an enemy of theirs.
RelyonChrist7 2 years ago
Even Abraham, the one who you call great Prophet, was commanded to sacrifice animals in order to atone for the sins of Gods people by blood covenant and did as he was commanded; this is not a scarcely nor obscurely know fact. Before the Savior Jesus laid His life down on the cross, Heaven was attainable only by acts or works, and not by faith alone.
RelyonChrist7 2 years ago
Works based righteousness has never been, nor ever will be an acceptable atonement for the sinful soul of human beings to co-habitate in the glory and presence of the Almighty God. Even Abraham, as great a man as he was, was not even able to look directly at God in all of His glory because of the sin upon his shoulders.
RelyonChrist7 2 years ago
The Lord Jesus was physically laid in the grave for 3 days, but before His death, He told the thief hanging next to Him that very day the thief would join Jesus in Paradise, Abrahams Bosom. The true testament to the resurrection is the eyewitness accounts of thousands of non-believers seeing Jesus, as well as a group of coward apostles who scattered after Jesus burial, but miraculously changed their lives after seeing Him first hand after His resurrection.

Why would an all-powerful God need to send His own son to die for all of our sins to allow us into heaven? This notion is somewhat ludicrous. Its pointless, really. Muslims pray to Mecca - pray to a man who passed away long ago from the infirmities of life on Earth. Should the Muslims not revile everything on Earth as they very elements they live and pray towards contributed to their messengers death? How then is this different from Christians praying towards a Cross?
RelyonChrist7 2 years ago
Muslims believe that the Kaaba is the holiest place on earth. It is generally thought to have been built by Prophet Abraham. It is used only as a focal point for prayer (not worshiped) and simply signifies a direction, imposed by God to maintain unity and uniformity among worshipers. Can a man be god ? The bible says strongly : God is not a man...nor a son of ... Then we don't believe that he claimed or accepted to be god or a son of god )) ... and doesn't have the power to destroy his enemies.
taano71 2 years ago
It is logical to believe that a sinful man such as Muhammad and a magical horse could commune with the Almighty God in heaven, but not logical for the Almighty God to commune with sinful man here on Earth? God created the heavens and the earth, therefore He rules in complete dominion over all. Do you not have the right to visit your own backyard because that is where the dogs lay? You own the yard and master over the dogs. God is God whever He is; Earth, Heaven, Parallel Universes - Everywhere

Since there can be true miracles and false miracles, miracles alone can never prove anything.
taano71 2 years ago
Yes, he does warn of false prophets. He also warns of what the signs of false prophets are. Prophets in general have the gift of prophecy. The only problem is when a demonic spirit tries to prophecy to people. It's prophecies are wrong. They may be true sometimes but other times they are incorrect. Only God can make a prophet that is correct 100% of the time. I can tell you have studied this for many years though. I should study these things more in depth too. i'm getting there lol
jendrew3 2 years ago
ok, the cross thing...blown out of proportion entirely. First of all, the cross is symbolic of the sacrifice that we, as christians make. We put to death our sins on the cross and start over born again in Christ. You have no proof of any of your claims. I can give solid evidence for my beliefs that would atleast make you question yours. I don't have to question your beliefs, just give you solid evidence that supports the bible and the fact that Jesus claimed and did all these things.
jendrew3 2 years ago
also, when the romans did this it was adopted as the symbol of christianity for the fact that we were saying that we would let ourselves be crucified just like Christ was. Check your facts please. Please don't be a fanatic and have an open mind to these things please. God bless you.

God cannot exist within spacetime.
His manifest within spacetime is the Holy Spirit.
Jesus was God made manifest into his own creation.
This is God we're talking about. When God 'died' on the cross it was just like waking up from a bad dream for Him. This is why He was able to resurrect three days later, because He could return to manifest within His creation at a later date.
That's the way I make sense of it anyway.
