  • I dunno about Evil Spells but I just made an Evil Smell.

  • This is album is amazing

  • Such an amazing album. I really need to buy it :x

  • Great!!

  • trueeeee

  • CATERVA!

  • This song is so soothing lol...for real tho.

  • Get up flip my hair find my cloths on the floor, drink some beer blast some morbid angel.the best way to start a morning

  • i call this poop medal and i fucken loves it

  • @mbm13213 death metal

  • 'Evil Smells'

  • YEAAAAAAAAAAAH

  • I love vagina...

  • @xxxGreaseMonkeyxxx don't we all?

  • @QJ573 Back then it was about being faster / more brutal than Venom.

  • gotta say, i am also getting tired of all this micro-categorizing. too many fucking opinions, bands, dumb category names. plus my definition of metalcore/deathcore at over 41 yrs old is nowhere near what ppl are putting under that category today. i liked it better when there was speed, death, thrash, black metal, grind punk and hardcore. too complicated today and again, too many subgenres with ppl basically just making shit up.

  • @njthug666 Well said my friend.

Seems like alot of people care more about silly "genres" more than the music itself.

  • AAAARGGGGGHHHHH COMO DESNUQUE MI CABEZA , CON ESTE TEMA...........

  • Such an amazing album, it's a shame that their new album was terrible.

  • I like this freaking bass \,,/

  • i remeber hearing about morbid angel and i listed to this song and it was the heaviest thing ive ever heard i thought it was so fucking cool!

  • One of the best death metal albums ever.

  • the two top comments are the most true comments ive ever seen

  • Resounding song, sorry guys but this album is the death metal in person!

  • morbid angel, so brutal and so technical. SO GOOD!

  • Some of the best homework in did back in the day were made on this record :p ...books full of holes though.

Real lucky to have this one and Slayer's Hell Awaits in a freggin greymouse library.

  • i really think that 1st morbid angel album was truly awesome and best ever! i cant describe the words how their music is great! its too bad only one album is like this, though.every song is very much old school, fast and also we have perfect vocals. i think vocals are very very cool.

  • @slayerSRBIJA89 Alters of madness is´t Morbis first album.

  • @7578Micke i dont think abominations were real album ^^

  • @slayerSRBIJA89 Sure is, some songs from abonations are re-recorded fore other albums, like Angel of disease. The intro on abonations are my favourite.

  • @7578Micke right

  • @7578Micke uh yeah it is.

  • awesome lyrics

  • This is a rip off of Morbid Angels "Demon Seed"

  • @StanHowser You cant rip off your own song

  • Here's the thing: all MORBID ANGEL Musicians(and producers) are a little bit SHAMANS, only they're also artists, actual musicians (hence their superhuman speed, rhythm and riffs/solos).....It's great music transcending Art as a real and total WAR on senses and spiritual values of t0day. sorry I did not take longer to explain it, not being sure myself of their message? But you can also go listen to their interviews hahah .Morbid Angel Metal Rules !!!

  • DOES THE END REMIND YOU OF ''PULL THE PLUG'' OF DEATH??

  • Best Death Metal ever made

  • MA! a.o.m.!

  • Yeah! Oldschool Death Metal for ever. Some young Death Metal bands are good but old DM is unbeatable!

  • Morbid Angel is Too Fucking Metal...

Pussies from new "metal" or melodic shit need to learn with them

  • Comment removed

  • This song is the best song off the album and the best to mosh to! COME TO NEW ENGLAND MORBID ANGEL I WANNA SEE YOU!

  • only word: RESPECT!!!!this band is hystory of death metal

  • I full agree with you, this band is a legend, I saw them 2 times in my country (Chile) the first time in 1996, I was in hell that nigth, totally amazing.......

  • I agree dude, and it's very unfortunate

  • Man, don't you guys remember back in the '80s and '90s when metal wasn't about who was most br00tal, or technical, it was about making people shit their pants with incredibly awesome music?

Nowadays, it's all about who's more br00tal, or technical. Shit, why can't it be about just the MUSIC any more?

  • Nailed it.

  • blame my generation they suck

  • haha I'm in your generation bro. I'm only 15. It's just I could tell that back then, it was about the music.

  • yeah sorry I was just generalizing on how most of our generation sucks but there is always going to be a legit person who runs from the herd not with the herd. Wouldn't you agree that this generation is ruined?

  • no worries dude. I always cry when I see my buddies, or just random people with Winds of Plague shirts running around screaming how br00tal they are. Fuckin' stupid.

  • well with your buddies don't ya think you can nudge them in the right direction? I mean Winds of Plague are the epitome of what death metal wasn't. and the whole br00t4l thing really has to stop it just shows how ignorant they are and how not brutal they are.

  • Oh, I have a bunch of metalhead friends. But a bunch of them worship Winds of Plague too. I really don't see what's so great about them. Same with Born of Osiris.

  • Same here I don't get it either it's the same stock generic modern death metal that all starts to sound the same and I think Born of Osiris don't try to be as "brutal" as possible I think they are the technical people. But I don't know anymore

  • Not everyone can listen to the same shit, thats just how it works

  • No. The fuck you talking about?

  • Well I could dignify you with a response if I knew what you were talking about...

  • @QJ573 depends on the bands you're listening to have you heard the new Gama Bomb CD? Fucking epic.

  • @QJ573 It's always been about being the most brutal.

The technical stuff showed up as people ran out of ideas.

  • @QJ573 Isnt being technical more about the music then "scaring the shit out of ppl"? :D

    But i do agree.

  • @QJ573 Thats so fuckin true man.... Those who like bands for being technical or brutal are the posers man. Its all metal to me.

  • @QJ573 i was 5 when the 80's ended so no not so much.......love this album, but isn't it a bit naive to think that the guys in the band weren't trying to be "br00tal" as they could be?

  • @QJ573 yeah...I was born in '91 but I know it...I just hate all my "br00tal" age-mates

  • @QJ573 Ugh Well sayed mann. \m/

  • @QJ573 Every generations says that shit. It's bullshit.

  • @QJ573 Well, cannot musicianship evolve? By putting things on a consistanly higher level, the dichotomy between REAL and FAKE metal bands becomes clearly defined, across it's multi-faceted genres. Cannot metal also have soul? This is not to say that the metal bands of the 80's were no less musicians than today, in many cases far more so... but I argue for going DEEPER than simply "heavyness". Obviously you cannot compare GWAR with lets say OPETH.

  • @QJ573 dude you're 16? what the fuck do you know about the 80s or 90s?! lol

  • @QJ573 Forreal dude back when I was a teenager and was listenin to morbid angel and incantation and napalm death and slayer i didnt hear anybody hangin around havin some gay ass arguement about who's this and who's that on the metal scene i mean who gives a fuck \m/

  • @Raquel66688 Totally agree man. Like Chuck Schuldiner once said "Categories suck!" I say just go to shows and keep supporting metal, don't spend your time on the internet arguing with people on youtube about what band fits into which sub genre, it's just sad

  • @QJ573 stupid poser

  • @QJ573 Well, there was hair metal in the 80's, and nu-metal in the 90's. Today we have metalcore, deathcore, and soulless tech death. Still plenty of AWESOME pure death metal bands, they are just not as well known as what is commercial, just like it has always been.

  • @QJ573 Unfortunately, I wasn't alive in the 80's and I was just a small child in the 90's, so no, I don't remember that. :/ Besides, being "br00tal" is now defined by how many breakdowns you can fit into a song. It's a trend that will eventually die out, and I realize that, but it still bugs the shit out of me.

  • Wow I thought i was young but 9?! Keep it alive kid!

    Anyway... Kickass song

  • i fucking love it!!!!!!!!

  • that solo + rift @ 1:32 is too good,man i love these guys.

  • Each song from Altars of Madness is a fucking classic.

  • welcome to hell is soo much better than evil spells idk why they changed the lyrics

  • Nobody cares of the miniscule time you have served to dark music. Once you enter this realm there is no turning back.

  • shame ther arent to many pure metal bands getting a break these days, thers plenty of decent new death/thrash/black metal bands its jst no one knows about them cos most record labels n such want shitty deathcore n metalcore bands nowadays, n most underground bands cant afford to tour everywhere, i mean ther was a death metal night a club were i live, n wos fuckin decent, yet those bands will prob get no where cos of shitty posers like suicide silence, shame =/

  • you write like a trendy kid metalcore. Expressing yourself is important and been understood is even more important :P

  • Im not a fan of metalcore at all but I dont think they are posers. I saw suicide silence live when they were with Nile and they were pretty good. They just are doing their own thing.

  • @demonhead1989 hey, I love death metal, but nothing is wrong with a lil suicide silence!

  • @Hallucinogen89

Except their cover of Them Bones...

  • Jeah deathcore doesn't count!^^

i listen to six feet under since I'm 9 ;D ... got the legacy with 'impulse to disembowl' from a friend of my father and fell in love with it^^

  • yeah music these days suck

    80's music is always epic

  • i heard this album just had it's 20th year anniversary

  • shit yeah! Morbid Angel, Deicide and Slayer were what we're into when we were kids.

  • It's good shit duders!

Wish this stuff was around for my generation though all we got is shitty rap and deathcore music, not like morebid angel, incantation, incubus(dm band)napalm death and carcass at all. Now THIS STUFF IS REAL MUSIC!!!

  • dude i agree

all these kids listen to whitechapel or suicide silence think they are all badass

listen to death metal not death CORE

  • Funny thing is I actualy like Suicide Silence and White Chapel but I dont think im "hardcore" because I listen to them. What I dont like is shit like bring me the horizon(bring me the homosexual),The devil wears prada, atreyu(agayu),slipknot(shitnot) and basicaly poser crap. The bands you listed may not be the heaviest of stuff but the members arent emo fags and the music is legitimate.

  • im 10 years old i cant take to much metal but metal is pretty good music but suicide silence is to intense for me

  • Suicide Silence are NO WHERE NEAR that intense. Try last days of humanity or severe torture. Now thats INTENSE!You pretty lucky dude when I was ten all I knew was iron maiden judas priest and black sabbath.

  • i'm 14 and i used to be like you.

believe me, you get an ear for metal.

good for you looking at morbid angel.

  • at last i found some one that is young and likes death metal!

  • lol death and black metal are like the two best music genres. i'm one of about 3 metalheads at my school xD and one of them is into deathcore so that doesn't count : P in fact, the deathcore one says Pete is a crap drummer :O

  • Im 16 and i liked Morbid Angel since i was 7. Even Black Metal bands such as Mayhem and Burzum.

  • ur lucky, i got into metal about 12-13 so i missed a lot of gigs...

  • Yeah i think i was the only kid in the crowd when i went to see Immortal in their Sons Of Northern Darkness tour.

  • You lucky, lucky person. I can't believe I missed the SOND tour! But yes, it is a good feeling being the only kid in the crowd; me and my friend were the youngest in the pit when we went to see Kataklysm and Keep Of Kalessin. (Obviously Death Angel were there too and they were amazing but we were there mainly for the supports) It's especially good when you know you're at a true metal gig and not some 'core band : P

  • MORBID ANGEL IS MY RELIGION!

  • Ignorant ..

  • Morbid Saint and Morbid Angel are both freaking amazing.

  • Morbid Angel are legends, morbid saint are just an awesome band.

  • well ive heard quite a few morbid angel songs, and there not as cool as morbid saint in my opinion....i dont like morbid angel

  • To be honest Im not a big fan either, I think their over rated I was just in a pissy mood and felt like starting shit so I did. Morbid saint arent the bes teither though in my opinion.

  • well evryones opinions differ

  • True, at least we can all agree on this:

    deathcore sucks.

  • i will aggre with you on that

  • Wish someone would right a song about that already though. Maybe I will.

  • Second Favorite Death Metal Band next to At the Gates

Get your devil horns in the fucking air motherfuckers!! \m/ \m/

  • I love this song!!

  • i just met this group

    fucking awesome!!!

  • There was an earlier version of this song called Welcome to Hell (not the one by Venom, it was on Morbid Angel's Abominations of Desolation record... made in 1986, but unreleased until 1992), as this song is almost the same as Welcome to Hell, but the lyrics are different.

Both kickass Morbid Angel songs, BTW.

  • Well this is what i call an awesome piece of musical ass-kickery. Don't really listen to these guys much, but got to give them credit - this is an awesome song.

  • fuck u too sebastifag

  • fuck you

  • Yeah, fuck you, asshole. What the fuck do you like then? Rap? Emo? Go and fuck yourself, poser.

    Morbid Angel is fucking awesome!

  • fuck your pussy waking the cadaver bullshit

  • FUCK YOU!

  • im new to morbid angel but i already know what theyre all about. it just reaks of perfection \M/

  • This song introduced me to Morbid Angel...awesomeness.

  • <3 the song

  • EVIL FUCKING SPELLS!

  • Does the production really take away from the musical genius

  • awesome song, so much more talented then cannibal corpse,

but cannibal corpse is fucking great too!

  • i FUCKED A PIE UNTIL IT WAS MORBID!

    ANUS!!!!!!!

  • allot of metal bands could and should learn allot from ealy morbid angel. Covenant and Blessed are the sick are fucking brilliant aswell The way metal should be i think

  • It really makes you look and try see how many deformed faces you can see.

  • This album cover is anything but cheesy I think the correct reference is...FUCKING BRUTAL.

  • Altars of Madness album cover is badass.

  • Once you hear the music, you see the cover art as true representation of the unholy evil brutality that writhes within!!!

Altars is not only a Death Metal classic, but a musical classic!!!!

\m/ Horns up from NZ \m/

  • they still play this song live..

    ooouyess!

  • EVIL SPELLS!

  • They simply know how to practice death metal, "Blessed are the sick" was my first metal-cd ever, and is still my favourite one (beside Altars of madness and a few others)

  • So cartoonishly evil... I love it !

  • cartoonishly evil themes make great lyrics and you know it

  • Fuck yes I do...

  • Genius!!!

  • Greatest Song in the Fuckin Universe.Greatest Band Ever.Hails to the Greatest Band with the Best Guitarist Ever.Hail Morbid Angel \m/!!!!!!

  • Yeah ! fuckin' great musician, pete trey david erik, they rocks!
