Not gunna lie, Brain Fear Gone is a very emotional video for me. It's the first rolling video I ever saw and It's the video that inspired me to keep rollerblading. I saw it when I was about 12 with all my rollerblading friends and it has been burned in my mind ever since. This video had so much style and some of the greatest music used in a rollerblade video in my opinion. I love watching it every now and again to relive those days when I first started rolling. thanks for the post
one of the best sections of all time from the best video of all time. Everybody that rollerblades or that is new to blading should study this video as a academic book
anyone remember when he was the only dude on remedyz, and kato put out that video of just jon on the all white remedyz? i wish i still had that shit!!!! That vid made me beg kato for the all black protoypes!
this section used to get me and my friends pumped every single saturday before we hit london....good times, sorely missed. one of the best sections ever in my opinion.
wow the zero spin at :46 is infuckinsane, also sorry to ask a dumb question, but i skate and i watch alot of vids but ive never seen someone do that weird little half turn before he fishbrains, he does it twice in this vid, whhyyy?? does it mean true spin
the one before the fishy is insane, going full speed and the one before the pornstar is just pure steeze, we used to call them shuffle and fake med spin, but then people started calling cess slides shuffles, so I don' t really know what people call them now a days, its just a little something to make the grind different
Shima 1's were the best skates ever. Back when skating was skating and everybody was united. And those damn skates high cuff were the best, and the bearings seem like you ask if they were swiss or something.
Yeah man, I remember when Shima first came on the scene. You know what I mean? I remember Jon Julio coming out, and then him starting 4x4 (I think it was). But yeah, DC, I know what you mean. Everything seemed to be a hell of a lot more united. But I still love where skating is today. So many ill guys comin out of the box constantly one-upping each other. Personally, Haffey transcends time. He was good back in the day, and is still the boss to me.
yeah thats because Haffey always has and always will skate the way he wants to. I don't think he stops to think ever when hes skating. Hes not the most tech skater around or the flashiest if you will. But skaters like him will always be the standard to compare to because when people like to watch you because of how you do what comes naturally to you then you are a force of nature.
Jon Elliot was my hero when I was a kid. I wanted to be just like him and I modeled my skating around him. This video really makes me miss rollerblading, I wish there were still people around to skate with. It sucks skating alone
I started skating way back in 96' when rocket makio's ruled the planet, unfortunately I no longer roll but I will always appreciate the tech, styles and great memories from rolling (skating newport park in Wales UK and seeing the legend Richard Taylor rip it up was one). I see a lot of hate from new kids about these old sections, ranting about how new sections destroy the old classics. Try to remember that rollings standards have been upped a lot but all because of sections like this.
elliot raised the bar pretty high for inline skating. so did shima. what was awesome was, they were both pioneers, but with two different styles of skating. shima was more tech, elliot more generic. both amazing.
I think this was the section they talked about in ONE. But it could've been his section from a different mindgame video. Now it doesn't seem as impressive as some I've seen. But that's because the standards have been raised. And they were raised by this section.
APPRICIATE ALL ROLLING NEW AND OLD!!!!im 20 now n been sk8in for like 9 or 10 years, rolling in general has came along way from the first video til now,so appriciate eryonbe who supports the industry cuz a couple years back rolling was fading out....2ROLL4LIFE7
There will always be a special place in my heart for this video. Yes rollerblading has developed since Brain_Fear_Gone, but these guys laid the foundations. I find it very hard to face the fact that Mindgame will never release another vid :(
dude, dainhart, I started rolling in 2000 or 01 (can't remember), I remember the older guys picking on grommets, us "new" kids who are throwing all this insane shit out nowdays, were not all grommified, I know solid style and tricks when I see them. J Elliot is a ledgend, I have so much respect for this man.
jon elliott is the only one besides shima who did that rock thing in skating first and made it look cool. nowadays everybody tries to copy this and makes this style look ridiculous.
You guys have to admit sections like this are slightly outdated by today's standards. I bet Jon Elliot would've had a million different ways to make this sicker if he was filming in this year. It's incredible thinking that it just took rollerblading a decade and a half to surpass and progress itself what took skateboarding 20 to 30 years more to do. It's not rollerblading anymore, it's sex with architecture.
the same kid whos hate on this section are the same grommets who think the best blader out there is the one who can tap dance the most on the longest rail. its something called style! this section when it came out was, and thinking bout it, still is one of my favs of all time. if you cant appreciate this section for the tricks, the style, and what elliot did for rollerblading, stop skating, cuz rolling will die from ungrateful wax addicts who dont know their roots like you.
ok to all the kids who are basicaly talkign crap about thsi section deffinatly need to take a look back into rollerbladings roots. you kids have no idea how much this video helped rollerblading and led to its success.
no i know most of you idiors suck as Randy1337 are probably liek 12 years old and started skating liek 1 year ago Ha. but seriously gusy dont disrespect someone who pretty much set the foundation for your sport.

dude stfu nobody gives a fuck about your criticism. who cares if you have skated longer than anyone else on here. you're just pissed off because you fuckin suck. so shut your fucking mouth you little bitch.
to the thick idiot that wrote that this section is rubbish, ur a stupid prick, this is the best section on possibly the best rollin video out, sick sound track - time by pink floyd, he woz years ahead of his time, some people mite not like some of the stuff in it nw coz the sport has progressed so much more bt this section is a fukin classic!
Dude, @ 2:18 that 180 over the stairs, is way bigger in real life than this video makes it seem. It was at my old school, in Mission Valley. Um.. I don't know how the hell he was able to get the speed... from the top of the stairs to the rail he jumped over is about 10ft. It's almost the same height of the steps too... kinda crazy.
what the fuck are u talking about? if that section came out now ppl would h8 so much !!!! personally ive always hated this section, even when it first came out.

I was unaware, I thought it was just Brian. That's cool, though. And yeah, I agree. If he co-owns, he should get his own boot.
