Actually, you shouldn't start counting kicks until 28 weeks because the baby is so small. The baby could be facing a certain direction where you can't feel anything. Don't worry ; )

Congrats on Week 23! Back home, the scrub stores always carried them. That is where we bought ours. I have to wear a panty line any time I leave the house, at home I don't wear undies to air dry, but yes it can be almost like your peeing your self. Have to be careful when you cough or pick up something heavy as you always find ur self leaking. Cute Bump, Happy Valentines Day

i have the discharge also its almost like water, i thought i was leaking amniotic fluid ( but the Dr. said i am not). I didn't have it with my 2 boys and this one is a girl so maybe you are having a girl also. I wouldn't worry about the kicking my Dr. said if the baby kicks your placenta or bladder you wont feel it ,my last baby didn't kick but maybe once a day if i was lucky and he is fine a little mellow but fine

With the stethoscope, you are gonna need to buy a better quality one than what target or walmart would have. Down here (alabama) we have medical supply stores...Not drug stores but medical supply. I am an EMT and have had to buy a few different stethoscopes. I haven't used one during pregnancy since I have a doppler but I've heard it does work. With the discharge, it is horrible! It seems like it has increased as I get further along....

Thank you for the tips on the stethoscope. Do you know what they usually cost? There is a medical supply store not to far from my house but they don't have any of their prices posted online.

A good one will probably cost from $50 to $200. You may be better off getting a cheaper doppler or one of those heartbeat listeners from BabysRUs. They also have dopplers for about $75 online.

I got one of those heart listeners from Walmart and it doesn't work that well... I heard a stethoscope works better... Try ebay

maybe ask someone at Shoppers Drug Mart pharmacy they may know. Or even the safeways pharmacy. There is even Medical stores as well u can check out. Im not to sure where in Canada you live so i dont know whats around you but you can try those places forsure :)

I know you said you don't need a doppler and I agree buying one would be expensive. But there are places that will rent them out.

I don't know about stethoscopes. :S

When my little girl doesn't move I get some sugary food in there. Then she's REALLY wound up. :p I try to do it around the time that she's normally waking up.

The reason doctors use dopplers is because the work the best. If you buy an inexpensive, you will be REALLY disappointed! Discharge for me meant girl. I was preggo with a boy, and never had it... ever!

We used a stethoscope, and i never was able to hear it from that? I don't know where you could buy one in Canada, but you might be able to find somewhere that would ship there? I don't know if Target or Walgreens ships to canada, or how much it would be, you could have someone here buy one and send it there? EBAY? The discharge thing I got A LOT too, i always use to think that it was bleeding, but i would get to the bathroom and it was just that, so i think its normal, MAYBE its a girl!!!
