FYI, knowing the origins of Ford and Henry Fords political contributions... that would posses someone hitting dislike. While it is a stellar commercial... it is not what Ford stood for, for so many years.
G'day from downunda. I love my GT Falcon, and I love the American Mustangs, old and new. We do make pretty good cars, there and here. Ford, #1 forever!
I've always been 100% GMC my first was a 57 Chevy.. GMC made Tanks in WW11 and a list of other thing as did Ford. Without them we might be writing in German or Japenese. I will say this Commercial made me feel good. Welcome home to all Our Troops
I've never heard of a 5 minute commercial. If I was watching something really important to me and this thing came on for five minutes, I'd probably throw my remote through the tv.
@posthumanfetus you call yourself an American right? Well, how could a commercial like this hurt your 5 waistless minutes of life?! This was a beautiful commerical, very well done. It tells a story and it asks that all American Support our Armed Forces.
@SUPPORTOURTROOPS365 It's designed to sell cars by tugging at the heartstrings. It's a commercial. If it was an independent film, that would be one thing, but this is a five minute commercial that was designed by a team of experts to have just the right of sentiment to get you to tear up so that you will think Ford is a great and wonderful company that cares about you. Don't get me wrong, Ford makes some good cars, but they are here to make money.
@posthumanfetus I disagree. I feel that this commercial was made, Obviously, in complete support of our troops overseas. Ford may have made this commercial to sponsor their vehicle, of course, but the fact that they took this time to make something like this to recognize and honor our men and women in the military is just astounding. So this is what I tell you, stop going too in depth with this stuff. Its a beautiful commercial and I could not say anything negative about it!
@posthumanfetus i disagree with you too, yes it probably helped sell cars and trucks, but it was made to show support for our troops past and present.
If they really wanted to serve our country, they'd refuse to serve under the current illegal regime in its continuance of all illegal wars and occupation$. Furthermore, they'd take up arms but QUICK in two places its needed most, the White House and the Mexican/US border.
Anything else is just using the people's money against themselves.
@tr86mustang Ford was the only car company that did not recieve any bailouts. In fact, they refused the bailouts that were offered to them! So, with that said, GOD BLESS the FORD COMPANY, GOD BLESS AMERICA and GOD BLESS OUR UNITED STATES MILITARY!
I am so glad I watched this. This is a REAL commercial. Fantastic. I just bought a Ford. Always owned foreign. It is a company that I am proud of for being responsible and not taking bail-out money like the others. I will never buy GM for that principle alone. I am also proud of our service men and women for their service in a difficult situation. My dad has had Fords- aerostar, taurus and explorer and neither had any troubles and he had high mileage on them.
i got a 89 ford bronco 214k miles, and a ford f150 157k miles. both run like the day they came out of the factory. dont look it, but they do. buddy of mine has a 98 ranger. 320k miles! runs perfect.
93 f150 recently bought w 183,000 miles. leakin oil like a sieve runnin like crap , clutch worked like shit. Just put new plugs and cap, tightened oil pan bolts bled the clutch. Runs like new. Try that with a chevy.
i have a 97 ranger with 250,000 miles on it and runs like new it hauls like a semi and speeds like a racecar ford is the best long-lasting thing on the road today....FORD POWER!!!!
Our 1997 Ford E-250 church van has 240,000-trouble free miles.
I think for the most part that if you take very good care of your vehicle and drive it right you should be able to get 150-250,000-miles out of most any brand of car.
My 1995 Lincoln Town Car has 318,000-miles. Since new it has only had several power window repairs, rear air suspension conversion to coil springs, 1-water pump, and one a/c heat blend door. Not bad for 318,000-miles with over half being in town miles.
Ford has always been good to the armed forces and Ford goes out of its way to give troops jobs.
I think Ford is a great American company and I will continue to buy Ford. I have a 2009 F-150 that has 42,000- trouble free miles.
If I had a dollar for every pixel in this movie I would have a quarter. Combine that with the dollar I get for every good actor and I would have.... a quarter.
ah that chevy impala commercial has this one beat. a new mustang compared to that old one blah. look at the lack of detail compared to what the mustang used to be.
If my dad gave me a brand new Mustang, I'd sell it and buy me a 96 Land Cruiser, 96 4Runner, 94 Camry, 2000 Camry, 2004 Mazda Protege Wagon, 95 Miata and a 94 Corolla. (Assuming the resale value hasn't already fallen to 50% by the time I drive it back to a dealer.
@JustAnotherJake7 Ford doesn't build very good vehicles. However, you have to credit them for not doing what GM did. Ford still builds cars under it's own accord and not by a government owned panel. They are (sort of) improving. For that I respect Ford.
FYI, knowing the origins of Ford and Henry Fords political contributions... that would posses someone hitting dislike. While it is a stellar commercial... it is not what Ford stood for, for so many years.
