No, not really. Haven't been to a track, and with cash flow being what it is, a dyno pull isn't in the near future either.
The only thing I can give you is old stuff from my first setup; using an online "HP calculator" (with a 2700-lb curb weight), I figured the stock wheel HP at 83 (18.7 ET), which sounds pretty close to what it should be. After adding the blower, FPR, injectors, and BTM, I came up with 133 WHP (15.9ET). Just guesses...I won't do any real 'bragging' until I can back it up.
Hey, how's it going? Thanks for the feedback. I just uploaded a "zero-to-middle of fifth gear" acceleration run. It's still not running quite right, and I can't afford engine management right now, but I hope to tweak it a little and squeeze some more power out of it. It is a reliable daily driver, I'm just having some fuel issues beyond 3/4 throttle.
Already been done by a guy in Saskatchewan. Done very well, too. In fact, when I last checked, he was finishing up the last details of a 2-engine, AWD beast of a SHOpaz. Mines is nowhere near his level, it's just a toy by comparison.
hewilldestroy; The instant response and low-end 'grunt' of a supercharger is perfect for a low-revving motor such as the HSC, where you don't have time to wait for it to build pressure.
vincent;
Yes, the "sport" trans has a lower final-drive ratio. It does hurt the highway MPG a little, as the engine is revving higher at any given speed, but the increase in acceleration is noticeable. A built auto would be even better for drag, but none are available for the Tempo/Topaz 'off-the-shelf'.
dude this is amazing if i ever have a big chuck of cash to blow this will have to be the project. oh and does it really make that much diff between 5sp base and sport??
i gotta get this done to mine. this or turbo. anything to make it quicker. it'll be a lot of work but worth it in the end. plus it'll be totally fun to have and build something different for once. Any tips you can give?
The loud whine makes it hard to keep the "sleeper" aspect, but I'm planning on switching intake arrangements; right now, it's a "blow-through" setup, with the blower between the filter and throttle body. There's nothing to muffle the noise. I'm mounting the throttle body to the intake side of the blower. Should be quieter, and may help fuel economy. Throttle response might suffer a little, we will see...
A manual trans truly makes it a whole different car. I swapped mine from a 'base' 5-speed to a 'sport' one out of a GLS since the last 1/4-mile pass. It pulls much harder now; first gear is over before it starts, it seems.
It'll break the tires loose on a roll in 1st & 2nd gears, but those are just stock-sized 14s on Polycast wheels.
I hope to have a 0-60 (or higher hehe) vid up soon. It's not really tuned, but it runs alright down the road (for a homegrown build on a patched-over EECIV), and pulls decently through the gears. Predictably, traction sucks, so I'll have to block the rear springs and scare up some stickies before I hit the track, as it feels much stronger than it did before. At least my 'ass dyno' feels a difference, but only timeslips will tell the real story.
I have a Cardomain site, there are a few pics there, and a depiction of the next stage; an M-90 in place of the current M-62.
A '92+ has a different belt layout, and the a/c comp is mounted lower. Since the blower is mounted in the a/c compressor's former location, you may not have the room. It may be possible to lower the swaybar mounting brackets using spacers; I haven't tried it myself. Engine management will be different too, with your MAF-based engine controls.
cool, but can you give us numbers?

Why not make a SHOpaz? Wakes a little more sense.

Hasn't been to a track yet; I destroyed the front trans mount on the first hard launch.
I got a 15.9 last time out, but that was before numerous upgrades.
