Read the FAQ's - some good stuff there - well done. Only the other day I was clipped by a wing mirror as the car squeezed passed at the same time as passing a pedestrian island in the middle of the road - primary road position in future on this bit of road!
Firstly, let me say that I am a daily cycle commuter ...... using the cycle lanes at the side of the road. They are plenty wide enough to avoid the drain covers and don't infuriate the drivers, unlike riding down the middle of the road and deliberately preventing vehicles from passing. Be honest, you've wired youself up with CCTV and you want to provoke reactions. At the end of the day, cyclist are always going to come off second best against a steel box on wheels.
Cars and their drivers are there to be smiled at, when you sail past them, when they are stuck in the rush hour traffic. They are also there to keep the NHS in business, with the associated problems of over use of cars, i.e. obesity, heart disease, pollution related diseases etc.
Cyclists on average have the health of someone 10 years younger and live 2 years longer. I think I know who has the last laugh... :-D
I have seen a fair many cyclists without lights these past 3 weeks. If they want to play russian roulette fair enough, darwin will probably end up winning.

Thanks. Why don't you pop along to cyclechat (google it) plenty of cyclists there who are interested in keeping safe on the roads.

Sadly I would assume that cyclists have a higher fatality ratio per km driven.

Best advice I ever had was "light yourself up like a freaking Christmas tree". 3 lights on the front, 4 on the back - no excuse for not seeing me!
