  • The story behind these videos is as about as cute as a texas chainsaw massacre. All slow lorises are threatened in the wild. Trade for traditional medicines and for pets is their greatest immediate threat. In the case of pets, very many slow lorises have their teeth removed inhumanely with wire cutters, nail clippers or pliers, an often fatal process. This does NOT succeed in making the loris non-venomous. Watch here on YouTube, BBC Natural World, Jungle Gremlins of Java.

  • @Apologeomasis These animals do terribly in captivity & are not pet material: they are nocturnal & have a venomous bite, which is why their teeth are yanked or scissored out for the pet trade. They rarely breed in captivity. Their diet is highly specialized. If you think they should be captured and taken out of the wild, please watch the BBC documentary Jungle Gremlins of Java, here on YouTube and you'll get it!

  • @StevanLHarrington the trouble is these animals do not do well in captivity & are not pet material: they are nocturnal & have a venomous bite, which is why their teeth are yanked or scissored out for the pet trade. They rarely breed in captivity. So the best way to save them is to get the existing laws enforced, and to help find other sources of income for those who trap and capture them. Education is the way. Watch the BBC documentary Jungle Gremlins of Java, here on YouTube and you'll get it!

  • @pocchom please help save this animal by educating others: post in your description a link to the BBC documentary Jungle Gremlins of Java, here on YouTube.

  • Fuck u u fucking animal!! You should have left this little guy where he belongs in the wild!! I hope he eats you one night when u are asleep!! ^_^

  • Please watch the BBC documentary, Jungle Gremlins of Java, here on YouTube, if you love the slow loris.

  • Damn. Do yall know if you legalized and regulated the slow loris trade like any other pet trade, the breed grow and flourish. Also it would stop the illegal trade and abuse because bu legalizing it you would take it less profitable for the everyday animal smuggler. I want a slow loris.

  • @StevanLHarrington Do you think you would 'flourish' in a cage?

  • I see that its teeth are present. It is also obviously not unhappy. It isn't apprehensive and isn't trying to hide. I have no respect for nature's way, where the life of animals (unless they are apex predators) consists in running from one hiding place to the next, struggling for food, and being eaten alive. Like animals have any fucking concept of their "natural habitat." All they want is to exert their instincts and eat. There are many ways to provide outlets for their instincts.

  • not lovely at all, you should not be contributing to the people that take these animals (illegally) from their habitat....

  • its awful ... no compren estos animales!!!

  • All five species of slow loris are listed on CITES (Convention on International Trade in Endangered Species) under Appendix I, which means they are severely endangered and are illegal to trade everywhere in the world. DO NOT BUY THESE AS PETS! Please do some research on their plight - including how their teeth are all ripped out, forcing them to eat uncommon foods - before you become addicted to their cuteness. Yes, they are super cute .... but the pet trade is killing them off! Thank you!

  • this is ilegal...

  • look the animal is cute, but we don't put you in a cage or somewhere you don't belong, so don't do that to this animal!

  • Can you crush its skull on video and upload it to a crush porn site? I like crush porn, but kittens no longer get me off, I need something a little bit cuter. I like to watch the brain ooze from a cute live animal to a dead mangled animal. Gets me off quickly, and very well. Also, I prefer you do it without shoes/socks just go barefoot... Makes the orgasm 10x better, and the skulls crushing noise 1,000,000x better... If you haven't noticed by now this is a sick joke I thought of right b4 post n.

  • daaaaaaaaaaaamn..........I can't resist those eyes

  • why is my girlfriend in your car?

  • Not only it's ellegal to keep them as pets, but you're also harming the little fella. Slow loris's are nocturnal and when you expose them to sunlight too much it actually hurts the poor littel guy. And if you do buy one they usually remove their teeth with pliers, and that usually leads to infections wich ends in death. So guys please, don't buy them as pets. Because frankly, THEY'RE NOT. They are endarngered species. So please respect that and stop buying them.

  • All these morons having them as pets should be banned from posting youtube videos.

  • Holy shit, The Manic Street Preachers - Nobody Loved You @ 0:11 awesome :D

  • Put some glasses on that CUTE bastards BIG CUTE ASS EYES...ITS NOCTURNAL!!!

  • were do you buy them??

  • It very sad when jack ass like pocchom buy these threated animals hurting their species chance of surival has a whole.

  • I agree with second comment these animals belong in the wild living out there natural lifes.

  • with those eyes you would let it do what ever it wanted

  • HI PLEASE GO TO DAILY MAIL WEB SITE ANT TYPE IN KILLER CUTENESS I WOULD LOVE TO HEAR YOUR OPINIONS X

  • hello ive read a lot of comments on here and it seems that everyone has an opinion. before you post any comments please go to daily mail and search killer cuteness id would really like to hear some of your thoughs on this article cheers x

  • um...has it occured to all the snobs that there is precious little natural habitat for them to live/breed in? Hell, if we released all the orangs in captivity they would all bekilled or kill eachother due to a lack of space. They share habitat with the slow loris--,meaning palm oil has probably made it necessary for a bunch of folks to keep lorises in breeding shape. Perhaps if they were treated less like criminals it would be safer to care properly for them.

  • @MagistraY HELLO I HAVE READ MANY COMMENTS ABOUT THIS VID AND MANY DIFFERENT VIEWS PLEASE READ THE ARTICLE ON THE DAILY MAIL WED SITE AND SERCH KILLER CUTENESS I WOULD LIKE TO HEAR WHAT YOU THINK X

  • It is not only the teeth pulling fact, because people will still complain they can be pets, its the fact they are an ENDANGERED SPECIES! They are not bred as pets, they are taken from the jungle to become pets, meaning they will never have the opportuinity to breed, as many wild animals will not breed in captivity. If people keep buying them their numbers will decrease until theres only a few left til extinction. So people who buy them are contributing to their future extinction.

  • How do ya get around the toxic bite bit? And what would it actually do to a human if it got infected?

  • were do u get them at????

  • EVERYBODY!! Go to wikipedia, and read about slow loris, educate yourself on the subject of illegal animal trade and then feel free to comment.

  • @ofhoney Fuck off and save a pigeon ya fucking anti...

  • @Slayer2029 Why the fuck r u replying to me? go give Donald a blowjob and stop wasting time on me you hideous waste of semen! You are a sad disgrace to mankind so just shut up and go do something useful and don't u dare tell me about pigeons when all you do to pigeons is shove them up your ass. Happy now? How is that for civilised arguement? You people don't deserve decent communication, keep rolling in your pit of filth and leave the rest alone!

  • Guess if you're OK with the fact that it's teeth were ripped out ....I guess if you're OK with the fact that bright lights bother it's eyes.....I guess if you're OK with the fact that it's a private animal who likes to be left alone....I guess if you're OK with the fact that your money paid for this animal & posting this video is going to fuel more abuse.....I guess if you're OK with the fact that it's a wild animal and doesn't belong in your washroom....Then yeah by all means rot in hell

  • @SamanthaNox LMFAO, I can see your copy and paste works pretty well you ignorant slag. This is a car, noy a washroom. I saw this exact comment on a couple hundred more videos of this lovely animal. Get over it.

  • @SamanthaNox I guess if you guess if everyone else guesses that you can say anything else apart from 'I guess' and mind your own fucking business, this world would be a better place and we cud all get along savy...

  • HOW CAN YOU TELL IF THIS GUY IS ILEGAL? EVERYTHING THE MEDIA MAKES MONEY TO TELL YOU ISNT ALWAYS TRUE! DONT WATCH THE VIDEO IF DONT LIKE WHATS IN IT! BESIDES YOU CAN SEE ITS TEETH IN THIS VIDEO!

  • @TheLehster Here, here!!! Exactly good post, its nibbling his hand and I don't see his hand falling off from toxic poisoning...

  • @Slayer2029 THATS BECAUSE ITS HAD ITS TEETH PULLED OUT

  • I think he is thinking: Why did you have all of my teeths pulled out? Where is my family, I miss sitting in a tree so bad. You know that I am illegal imported, but you don't care.... I don't belong here, you should by a dog instad.

  • For anybody who's curious about how is this animal abused before it gets to the hands of its owners: Type In Youtube's Search Engine "SLOW LORIS ANIMAL CRUELTY"

  • hahahhh theyre not vampires, people! In the wild they open their eyes during the day and it doesnt leave them as food for hyenas, cmon.

  • Man what is with the japanese and buying endangered animals? Cut it out you weird foreigners!

  • How could you dislike this Video?!?!?!?!?! O:

  • It doesn't seem it is abusing!.. But why we always think everything in this world is created for us!

  • natural habitat = most prob extinct right now.

human intervenes = alive for us to see.

    to:

    Awwww cute people:

we should take a step back and not keep em as pets

    The animal rights people:

they would be dead where not for us.

    the trolls:

    get a fucking life.

  • I dunno fuckers this slow loris seems happy with it's handlers.

  • @Helopusobiwa happy or docile? Its bite is lethal, so its teeth were prob ripped out.abt 90% of slow loris's w teeth ripped out get infections or die. this maybe 1 of the lucky 1s bt it prbly has malnutrition since its nocturnal making it hard to care for.at the very least, w/ no teeth it cant ever liv in the wild again&it wont reproduce so ur endangering the species. im not a peta freak, Im not telling u 2 be a vegan or save the whales, i just dont see y u cant get a cute puppy or kitty instead

  • In NYT today: slow lorises are endangered wild animals, sold illegally, often die of terrible nutrition-related deaths and have most always had their teeth ripped out to prevent them from biting their handlers. This is not cute.

  • @createsf I agree. They're endangered, but there are ways to increase their numbers. Humans taking them in as pets is part of the problem. Although cute, they belong in the wild in their natural habitat where they can survive as a species.

  • Lol what she doesn't realize is that she can be poisoned by the loris

  • I just wish the illegal trade behind them wasn't so horrible, it's just too sad.

I don't think the light must be all that bad in this video.

  • The light wont kill it lol, obviously the natural habitat is best but c'mon ppl. is whining on youtube really productive?

  • To those who thinks this animal is in pain because of light; Dude there are dark places in that car such as under the dash, if this animal was in such pain then it would hide under the dash instead of playing on its owners knees!! So don t WRITE THAT IDIOT COMMENT AGAIN!!

  • This is an animal who lives at night and should be hiding from daylight, Cruel and senseless....

  • For anybody who's curious about how is this animal abused before it gets to the hands of its owners: Type In Youtube's Search Engine "SLOW LORIS ANIMAL CRUELTY"

  • What kind of noises do they make?

  • Dude this is so fucking cute :) i would get one but i am really scared that they take away a baby from its mother. i wish i could find an adopted one.

  • my dad is thinking of getting one!

  • This is terrible. Cute, but terrible.

  • This is a smuggled Illegal animal living outside of it's natural habitat. It is not a toy it is a living being used for our silly entertainment. Youtube please remove these videos. Also as a side point, what is a nocturnal animal doing in the bright light of day?

  • @sonomane the reason some endangered animals like this live like pets for certain families is because they we're born in captivity at an endangered animal reserve and they were raised there. When they were old enough to be returned to the wild, they couldnt adapt, therefore they HAD to have a foster family. Otherwise, they would die, being unable to survive on their own. So its not a "smuggled illegal animal".

    Just sayin(:

  • @TheWhatevrz

    Hello

It is quite well known that the Loris has never been bred in captivity. And by never i mean never has been there a case of captive breeding ever recorded. Sorry but your theory is not the reality.

    Regards

    Krzysztof

  • @Wingythingy Actually they have successfully breeded them in captivity at the San Diego Zoo.

  • do you realise you are an animal abuser... no probably not.. ignorant bitch...

  • ANIMAL ABUSE. IM FLAGGING THIS RIGHT NOW. APPROVE THIS COMMENT SO EVERYONE CAN SEE AND HELP REMOVE THIS VIDEO TOO IN THE NAME OF PREVENTING ANIMAL CRUELTY.

  • @YawFuthaMucka shut the fuck up hipster.

  • my brother wants one as a pet. he already decided a name: yeast infection. no joke.

  • what the fuck!! damn this creature is cute... but... im with those who think they should be in their natural habitat.... SOOOOOO FUCKIN CUTE!

  • @GammaBoom init and they are nocturnal + live in dark conditions, light can damage their eyes....

  • So beautiful

  • It winks at 1:08! Awwww!

  • Omg I want one ever sense the one on raywilliamjohson with the tiny umbrella I have never heard of one till now and ow I want one

  • ESE LORIS TIENE HAMBRE... POR ESO PRUEBA Y MASTICA TODO... ELLOS GENERALMENTE NO SE COMPORTAN ASI... LA CLAVE, ES QUE ESTÁ MAL ALIMENTADO

  • Is it wrong that this gave me a boner

  • @NathanLauridsen Definitely wrong...u should visit your dentist...:))

  • @oregoncycote1 really.... Not the endangered part, that part I know. But the fact that you've commented on every slow loris video I've watched tonight. I understand standing up for animal rights but if they are endangered let's bring some into captivity and breed them so they don't do die. And drop real pain relievers into Asia

  • @EV42TMAN - we agree. something needs to be done to help all wild animals taken from their homes. and trusting potential buyers who buy them because "OMG, its so cute!" isn't the answer. increased education & knowledge (why i first posted this info), along with creakdowns on the illegal trade, are only part of the answer. ...just look at all the morons who posted here now saying they now want to own one - truly scary and incredibly sad!

  • I REALLY REALLY WANT ONE !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • O.M.G IS SO F***ING CUTE

  • Slow lorises are threatened by deforestation & the exotic pet trade, are hunt them for their large eyes as local traditional medicine, turned into a wine said to alleviate pain, or eaten dried or smoked for food. They are listed either as "Vulnerable" or "Endangered" by the IUCN. A popular but illegal pet in Japan and United States. Its popularity due to popular YouTube videos showing them being tickled.

Google "slow loris + wiki". Read the wiki about them for yourselves...

  • @oregoncoyote1 you could probably make great slippers out of them too.

  • @oregoncoyote1 Yet if we were to legalise the slow loris pet trade and to introduce breeding in captivity we could increase slow loris populations, while having little to no negative effect on their biological systems and their vulnerable status. By legalising them as pets we could supervise conditions and conserve these animals, rather than force them into illegal trade systems would objectify them to cruel conditions, due to the high popularity they now possess as pets.

  • aww it's like a little baby!

  • Hehe! ^^

  • If I see another cock wad talking about "YOU HAVE TO GIVE IT FREEDOME CAUSE I AM SOME SORT OF SELF PROCLAIMED EXPERT THEREFORE I KNOW EVERYTHING" or "IT'S A NOCTURNAL DERP ANIMAL DERP THEREFORE DERP IT DERP MUST DERP IN THE NIGHT AND DERP IN THE DAY". Slow Loris' sleep during the day because of survival. They are perfectly able to survive in daylight and it's not going to kill them, my god are you people retarded?

  • @yourmumgavemehead69 you more of a psycho than me but im not one at all so you can't call me a psycho!

  • @tenten929 Oh sup psycho, how is being psycho going for you? Pretty psycho? Just what I thought ^_^ LATERS Psycho! :D

  • Comment removed

  • @yourmumgavemehead69 go die in a hole and stop following me i need some personal space freak gosh you were droped on your head when you were born!

  • @tenten929 Why are you coming to all my videos and reply to all my comments??? Did I prick one of your already damaged nerves by calling you a psycho???

  • @yourmumgavemehead69 you did a long time ago by calling me all those bad words and a physco and youre really immature because youre grown up but you still act like a 1 year old, you need to grow up and shut up now stop following me freaky weirdo! have fun being a freaky weirdo! :)

  • @tenten929 Okay then Psycho, whatever you think Psycho :)

  • OOOOOooooooh look at those eyes! soooo cuuuuuuute!

  • Where can i get one? Its adorable.

  • i think i would rather get one of this than a dog or a cat

  • How long do they live for?

  • Re: The biting. I sincerely hope the teeth are not removed, not only because this is cruel but because it is unnecessary. The poison comes from glands in the insides of their elbows, which they lick off, not from their mouths like snakes.

  • @Bozpot Please say this is true, coz' I want one so bad. They are adorable, cuddly, and they do deserve to be in a cozy, warm, environment full of love, and not out in the wild for every single predator out there to hunt them down.

  • i really dont have a problem with people keeping them as pets but when you remover their teeth just so you can domesticate them i think there might be a problem you have to admit that is a little sad.

  • I secretly want to be Salvador Dalí and have a few small exotic pets such as Lemurs in my eccentric loft apartment. Yeahh

  • The little guy probably feels like you are its mommy. So sweet. I would like to just hold one for a little while.

  • That is the cutest lil critter ever.

  • this animal is having fun and the feeling of beeing loved, its not held up by a chain or anything, therefore it is still a free animal and that is ok and should be with everybody!

  • stupendo!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • If I had a Slow Loris I would name it Cobra Commander.

  • *_*

  • Can it be aggressive? It looks like it is trying to bite.

  • it may look friendly but those things can tear a person limb from limb, ive seen it happen.

  • where do you get one?!?!?!?!?

  • To everyone who thinks that slow loris prefer the wild...

I don't know about all families with a slow loris as a pet, but this one looks pretty damn content, if you ask me.

  • The first hyperactive loris i saw...

  • that thing is so fn cute!

  • I breed and kill these for my local restaurant, tasty.

  • quick throw it out the window

  • i agree with alkalineloris

  • the slow loris shouldn´t be kept as pets!

ok...yeah are so cute but they are considered endangered mainly and have an extremely high mortality rate in captivit. The loris's bite is toxic! if you find a pet loris it will most likely have its canine teeth broken or pulled out by the seller so it can't bite. It's also just plain cruel! PLEASE don´t buy one! never! And is ILLEGAL have one like a pet. Don't support the bottleneck effect that trade is causing for this species.

  • poor animal having to listen to that shitty music

  • LOL nice description. engrish

  • Love Bites

  • THIS IS LIKE A CAT>> BUT BETter

  • Let's see...

"free" In the wild = eaten mercilessly by some large animal "prisoner" living with humans = constant food supply and happy living

    Which one sounds better?????

  • happy living :[)

  • @Musicposter4you well, what's better ? to live free and have to earn money to rent house, buy food and fill your gas tank or go in prison for life with no worry about all of these things ?

nature meant balance untill the modern blind man step on, welcome in idiocracy where men are ruining the planet while saving few cute animals.

  • @Gr33nd0g I would rather earn a living and pay a rent. In prison, unspeakable things happen to people. In prison, you are confined in a small space with shit for food, and nothing to do all day, all night, every day of every week. The reason that they don't have to worry about these things is because they don't have the freedom to enjoy these things. My point is to enjoy the cuteness of this awesome animal and shut your conceited face.

    ZIP IT!

  • @Musicposter4you your prison description looks like a cage for an animal to me ... when you learn about abused animals like dogs, cats, horses and more, don't you think it can happen to a slow loris ? what do you know about the wildlife of slow loris ? do you care about his predator ? nah, I think you dunno anything about anything, you're just here to have pleasure and you basicaly don't give a damn fuck about the animals.

have a nice day you blind n deaf boy

  • @Gr33nd0g I'm not saying that there aren't abused animals out there. I'm just saying that this ONE Slow Loris looks happy in his home. It is a cute animal, it is a funny video. Shut your mouth and revel in the awesomeness of this amazing animal. Read RoseInTheRain's Comment. These animals are taken in only by loving homes. I'm sure that Sonya's caregiver (Dmitry Sergeyev) takes very good care of her, and he bought her from a legitimate animal nursery. BTW, both my parents are deaf. Thanks, Dick

  • My guess is that these animals should not be habituated...

  • it's soooo cute!! i want one!!

  • @KCgivsfreehugs

yes cute, but PLEASE do not get one.

Lemurs belong in the wild, where they can be LEMURS. they are not meant to be taken home for our cheap thrills and entertainment.

please don't support this industry, nor any other that removes wildlife from thair natural habitat.

  • @techcafe It is not a lemur, it is a slow loris... But yes, they should not be kept as pets.

  • Aww it was the same eyecolor as me :))

  • lol he was eating ur fingers

  • The Slow Loris is not endangered, it is at risk. In countries like Russia they have 'nurseries' where they are bred as pets. This boosts the numbers and means there is no need to illegally smuggle them/kill their mothers etc. Some countries could learn from that, instead of forcing the trade underground so they can't supervise conditions and conserve effecttively.

  • @RoseInTheRain They may have "nurseries" where they're bred as pets, but that doesn't mean their standards of care are any good. Demand for cute exotic pets can result in animal cruelty when they cram too many animals into sub-standard conditions in the interests of making a profit, regardless of whether or not the animal is legal: ever heard of a puppy mill? If these nurseries are watched closely and regulated, then it's all good.

Still, non-domesticated animals shouldn't be pets, period.

  • @RoseInTheRain totally agree and how is this any different than domesticating a ferret anyway? (which is totally legal in USA). if bred properly with FDA approval and control (just like for any other pet), it could actually help spreading this vulnerable species.

  • @RoseInTheRain like with marijuana

  • @RoseInTheRain That might have been one of the best comments I've witnessed in a long time. Thumbs up.

  • @RoseInTheRain And could i have it here in Czech republic legaly ?

  • @KilledCZ

They are endangered species. No way to get it legaly (except for Zoo probably). Je to ohrozeny druh. Co myslis, jde to legalne?

  • @kehmulke ;) no v rusku a japonsku by to legalne jit melo ...

  • Maybe if they weren't so damn cute, we wouldn't want them.

  • @kaosknife123 ... even if they weren't cute, they are still enjoyable.

  • We are destroying their habitat, by then these guy will have no homes but in special areas or with the Humans.

  • The people who buys this animals are the worst. They are the real criminals. The hunters are only trying to survive, because they are poor people. It´s illegal to buy wild animals, so it´s your fault.

  • fuck the hunters and fuck those people to kill animals for fun or for training... are you a fuckin hunter? if yes, you are the criminal not those people who keep these animals in their homes... so what?? i have an owl and i don't give a fuck about wildlife... the humans are the wildlife..

  • lol idiot...

  • @Alekpowah .. i know that i'm idiot, at least i care for animals because they are understandable moe that most of the people.
