yeterday morning (dec 13/09) edmonton was the coldest place on earth! beating out the arctic and Antarctica! -48.1C with a windchill of -58.3C. and what were we canadians doing? playing street hockey in t-shirts...lol ok fine i was shovelling the driveway and freezing my ass off. but it just proves canadians can survive anything

ok official Temperature that DAY coldest it got was -38 at 10pm. windchill was -46 at NIGHT. in the morning it didn't get that cold, only -30.9 with a windchill of -48.

edmonton weather is definetely the pits in winter. however, most people get the impression that all days are like this. in fact, there are only some days when the temperature goes below -30, and -46 is quite rare. average temp. is -10
