i have to agree with you where the idiot dad gets sucked into the tornado when he tried holding the door down, i mean, why the fucking hell would some fucking idiot try to hold a door with some shitty lock on it with a giant twister coming, even a weak could have broke the door. he's just the world's dumbest idiotic father and husband.

I totally agree, with NC about the shelter at the beginning, I live in Iowa so I know how to deal with tornados. and the two rules that are basically beaten into your head as a child is stay away from windows and doors, and underground=alive, so any smart person who lives in tornado alley would know that. EXCEPT this dad who would have been absolutely fine if he had STAYED AWAY FROM THE DOOR (and for the record, i have been inside cellar shelters and those locks could keep out an elephant)

this movie just stupid,but special effects is probably why it was so popular in the 90's but the story is just complete shit, it's kind of like avatar (amazing special effects, but complete bull shit story).

theres always going to be movies that people are going to love for special effects but the plots are going to be so fucking dull that people are going to be bashing it when the next decade comes around.

You know I never really thought this movie was awful. Granted it's been some time since I last saw it and I remember being aware of it's flaws (particularly the ending), but I wasn't bored with it. It's a film that's easy to forget about, but sort of a guilty pleasure. Maybe that's because I knew I was going to watch something dumb, so I just got what I expected and after watching a B-movie I love A-movies even more. Films from Michael Bay on the other hand are actually painful to watch.

I usually like NC's reviews and usually he destroys bad movies but so far I don't really see anything that's overtly bad about this movie. It's no Citizen Kane, but I've always thought its a decent film. Its almost a case of nit picking. You want torture, watch Disaster Movie.
