  • very interesting video thanks

  • Nice presentation

  • continued from last post

i cant find work ...i have tryed many times

i would like to start a family but i know its not gonna happen

so what is the point of living i dont care i live or die there is no point on living whats the point of living i do relise it is a stupid thing to do but ive had a enough

  • i have perifural vascular diease discoverd in 2007 started getting pain in my legs i was 21 at the time.but i started taking warfarin in 2009 i was 23 .,that is when i got a clot in my left lung and i am meant to be on warfarin for life but i have decided to cease taking warfarin doctors have told me of the dangers and the risks even death could occour but i dont care consequences reason are doctors wont do sergery had 2 opinions the other is i am tired of being in pain all the time

  • @vistavision2010 Have you looked into other forms of pain relief? I know that you can't take anything if you're on blood thinners, but there are other alternatives out there, you just have to do your research.

Being on blood thinners prevents blood clots. Blood clots can cause stroke, a pulmonary embolism or even a heart attack. I have worked with people who have suffered a stroke, and I would say that they would give anything that they could to go back in time to prevent it from happening

  • I had multiple PE' s and had a major episode about 4 months ago. I am on 10 Mgs or coumadin a day and still cannot hit a 2.0 INR. I was really scared when it happened I could not breathe at all and I had an O2 sat in the 60's for like 2 weeks...its better now but the thought of so much rat poison in me is just scarry.

  • @mrsmacky1978: There are natural things that you can do, but must rather live on synthetic drugs.

  • @mrsmacky1978 I had the same problem just last week. i was in the hospital with my third PE in 14 years. it started when i was 16. It took a week to hit 2.0, but when it did i felt a lot of pressure released (stress). This time was different than the other 2. i could breathe i had chronic pain in my lungs, that pain meds could not help. Yeah.... rat poison from here on out.

  • Does anyone have any experience with the Green Filter? Apparently once installed in the leg you are off meds and never have to be concerned with clots again.

  • @TheBgcheez: Filters are not a cure, they can also go bad. Plus if a person has a stiff vascular system then it can kill her or him. Reason being is that during the crank the descending aorta can rupture.

  • If I were on this trash medication, I'd get off of it.

I know 2 people that died because of this med.

One was my friends grandpap and it was the night of my best friends high school graduation.

His grandpap hit his head fairly lightly and died because he had internal bleeding and it could not be stopped and it was because of this med.

  • @breakneck14 wrote "His grandpap hit his head fairly lightly and died . . . because of this med."

He didn't die because of the warfarin. He died because his cardiovascular system was messed up. I'm sorry he missed the graduation. That's sad. But is it possible that he would have had a massive heart attack or stroke, and died years earlier WITHOUT the meds? There are usually two sides to every story.

  • @rmcdaniel423 He died because this medicine thinned his blood and it couldn't clot thus he bled internally to death.

It is possible he might have died without the meds years earlier but this is an impossible question to answer leaving the truth that the meds resulted in his dying anyway.

  • @breakneck14

Out of curiosity, how did the Warfarin CAUSE the death. I was just put on it about a week ago, and there are a lot of cautions to go with it. More than any other med that I have ever taken. I guess I am curious as to whether the drug caused the death, or if it was the condition that the Warfarin was prescribed for. Every drug is dangerous to some degree, and I notice that these types of drugs are even more dangerous

    Thanks

  • @haitipi I thought I explained it pretty clear but here goes. He bumped his head and because he was on this medication, his blood did not clot as if it would've had he not been on this med. He died from internal bleeding at the hospital right afterward. Is it possible that the med wasn't to blame? Yes. Do your research on this med though and you'll see CLEARLY that little bruises can END YOUR LIFE because of the internal bleeding problem this med presents.

  • Check out Coumadin being presented in a rap song. Search for "Coumadin Rap Song".

Warfarin does not Treat blood clots. It prevents clots, which is a huge difference. If Warfarin was used to treat clots then Doctors would give warfarin IV (which doesn't exist last time i checked) to break up a clot.

But since it doesn't not work like that, TPA (trans-prothormbin activator, or something like that google it) is use to treat stroke, heart attack, DVT, or PEs

  • @danielsonrg dear danielsonrg. i am 42 have 3 major dvts in left leg all so factor 5 ladin blood disorder have not hade inr checked in abt 1mo but have been taking 7,5 every day can u plz responed and give me some advise no insurance dont have the money any more to pay for it out of pocket

  • @Halls131 find a public health clinic and find out how to qualify for any type of health issurance that is avaliable.

    or

since you already got a DVT, and you don't have money, just drink a beer go to the ER get the treatment then don't pay the bill, and when you have to go to court to contest the payment tell the judge you were under the influence of alcohol and you could not give a proper consent when you signed the papers.

It might work, and it might not. Go to the public clinic instead.

  • I Take This Medication(Warfarin) Onca A Day, I Have Marfansyndrome!

  • hello people

My name is Sumaya, I'm from Brazil

and I'm downloading some videos to study, but I can not understand some words, I wish someone would help me, to enter with that video, even in English, and then I copy and paste tools in the languages of Google

  • Quais palavras vc nao entendeu meu bem?

  • Generally. when prescribed Coumadin (Warfarin) your doctor will continue monitor your thin/thickness levels thorough a test call a PT/INR. Levels that are considered safe are between a 2.0 and a 3.0. 2.0 or less would mean your blood is thick, calling for a higher dose. 3.0 or greater means it's too thin and means a lower dosage.

  • The human body requires vitamin K for clotting and preventing clots. 3 serious side effects of this synthetic poison are blood clots, gangrene and cognitive decline.

Fish oil makes the red blood cells slippery and relaxes the blood vessels, and garlic thins the blood, as does a product called Vivix. People can be backed off of this poison Coumadin as their blood thins with these natural solutions. Don't be duped into metabolic acidosis and early death for Pharmaceutical profits.

  • so how much fish oil and how much garlic?

  • Dude your full of shit

"Fish oil makes red blood cells slippery"

WTF. How does a triglyercide with a double bond 3 C's away from the omega carbon accomplish this? do you have a mechanism of action? Once it becomes a Chylomicron or melvolonate, how does it bind to red blood cells???

"3 serious side effects include blood clots?" Really, why it is then that in the body it inhibits many of the protiens in the blood clotting cascade. A clot? not at all.

    "metabolic acidosis" explain.

  • Arterial walls act like teflon, and RBC's are deformed and pass more easily w/ fish oil. I said that part wrong. Should be more careful... Vitamin K is important for both clotting and preventing clots. Read online.

Metabolic Acidosis can be searched online. Our diets, meds, stress, etc. cause an acidic environment. If Ph is altered too much, the body pulls calcium from bones and teeth to neutralize. Ask an EMT what injection is given w/ heart attacks. Heart cells die, bathed in acid.

  • "vitamin K prevents clots"

    FASLE

why is it when someone is bleeding excessively, intravenous vitamin K can be administered to increase clotting factors?

As far as i'm concerned, evidence based medicine is far superior to any claim made by the uneducated

  • dont be foolish, if you have a stroke it going to be pretty difficult to eat garlic. Are you some sort of tribal witch doctor?

  • Most people are uneducated, as are their doctors in nutrition, medication-induced nutrient deficiencies and metabolic acidosis. When the body has had enough toxins, and it becomes too acidic, there will be a tap on your shoulder, "your table's ready". Follow an ambulance when there's a heart attack, and watch the alkaline injection taking place. The heart cells are dying, bathed in acid. Coumadin causes cognitive decline, clots and gangrene. Use at own risk. Natural alternatives are safer!

  • @rare1walking natural alternatives? You mean like obama care? or go take a run in the park

or are you St. John's Wort I think that can decrease platelet aggregation

  • my father is dying of stage 4 lung cancer right now is taking this drug because he was in the hospital for 3 weeks trying to get rid of blood clots in the lungs (pulmonary embolism) it works. he still is dying and still has cancer but now if he gets pnuemonia again it wont allow clots to build as fast. i just hope they find a cure for this asap. SOMETIMES THINGS JUST AREN'T FAR HE NEVER SMOKED A DAY IN HIS LIFE AND NIETHER DID MY AUNT WHO WAS JUST DIAGNOSED WITH STAGE 3 LUNG CANCER YESTERDAY.

  • Sorry to hear that. it could be that it runs in your family due to an inactivation of tumor suppressor you should consult your doctor and also get tested more often its better to catch it in early stage than later.

  • Have you checked the radon levels in your houses, or for asbestos?

  • she looks like a lost character: Sun. :D

  • Warfarin....it kind of sounds like a good name for a Warcraft character

  • lol yeah.

  • It was used as a warfare drug. It is basically rat poison in very small doses. In rats it binds to Vitamin K, inhibiting the synthesis of clotting factors..after a few days of eating the poison, the rat bleeds out internally.

  • oh yeah? then why don't they call it Ratbleedoutin?

  • @cthorste because nobdoy wants to take a medicine called Ratbleedoutin. I'm pretty sure you already knew the answer to that.

    It's bad marketing

  • spas em tew bırane yaşasın ilaçlar:):):):)

  • I started taking this medication when I was 23, Im 24 now....It's horrible but its saving my life. I have to live my whole life with this medication. It's sad, and the side effects are very hard to cope with. but I'm staying strong. Hopefully I have many years to come

  • :) u will

  • Sorry to hear about your situation. Hopefully with new medical advancements things can change. I wish you all the best each and every day.

  • @bostero1 I don't think there will be a medication as effective and as cheap as warfarin

  • Why do you need coumadin at the age of 23/24???

  • what side effects are you getting?

  • bless u

  • i feel for you, ive been on it since i was 20, i'm now 24. i will also have to be taking this drug for the rest of my life, because of a clotting dissorder. I even had clots while on this medication due to improper dosage. you always have to be walking on that thin line, on one side is bleeding and the other clotting. It;s a pain!

  • @MumBum07 - look into the Green Filter - do a google search on "how to prevent blood clots" or "green filter"

  • Doctors will lie and tell people they have to stay on Coumadin for life. I could say they are not educated, but they know full well of the downsides, and aren't knowledgeable about natural alternatives. I know people who get off of the rat poison with garlic capsules, fish oil and a product called Vivix that thin the blood and feed the body. Much better. Yes?

  • @rare1walking

due warfarin is one of the most extensively studyied medications on the planet. Numberous studies have shown that risk of clotting is decreased in patients with INRs of 2-3. Do you even know what an INR is?

for example, in a paper published in 2003, over 13000 people that had been admitted to a hospital because of atrial fibrillation were monitored. those with an INR greater than 2 had a 5% chance of having another event. those without treatment were at a 22% chance

  • @rare1walking If someone came up to me and said. " I have this product the has been studied and is proven to safe lives or or you could drink this grape juice but we really don't know exactly whats in it, or how much is in it, and we have no studies to back it up, which one would you try." Also, Dr.s don't lie about this shit thats the dumbest thing I have ever heard.

  • @rare1walking "Natural Alternatives" are not FDA approved for the use of "thining the blood" like warfarin is

  • @rare1walking

Wow, I have a very close family member with a condition that has made him throw 3 clots into his brain. He was very big into natural remedies like strong garlic, plenty of fish oil, and countless "revelutionary breakthrough "miracle" cures". "much better, yes?" NO, and you are a fool if you think that these things can work for all people. It didn't prevent 3 strokes and countless TIAs that came with them because of the condition that was pooling blood and throwing clots.

  • @lildoolez Do not despair my young friend! There is good data to show that dabigatran can soon replace warfarin. It looks like it will have the same efficacy and be able to treat many of the same problems but without nearly as many nasty side effects. Look it up! Hopefully it can someday prove to be truly useful and help you as well!

  • @nybgrus - If you do a search for Pradaxa you will find the side effects are worse than Warfarin. More heart attacks, strokes and internal bleeding cases. When I started looking for alternatives to Warfarin I quickly decided this one is bad to.

  • @TheBgcheez so far the data is showing an increase in these sorts of things, but you have to understand what it actually means. Firstly, you get more bleeding cases because there is no way to reverse pradaxa like there is for coumadin and it lasts longer. The point though is that it is compared to using coumadin perfectly and the reality is that is impossible. Yes, perfectly controlled it is far better - but it is insanely hard to control. Even eating an extra helping of spinach can (1/2)

  • @TheBgcheez throw off the coumadin levels. It interacts with a huge amount of other drugs as well. So essentially, in a perfect world, yes, it is worse. But in actual practice and in terms of lifetstyle changes and difficulty of adherence, pradaxa is actually much better. Of course, only time will really tell and there may be things we discover later on, but as of right now, it looks like a much better solution because of the easily realized negatives of coumadin.

  • @nybgrus - Thank you for your response. I am looking into everything because I simply don't want to stroke out or worse die right yet.

  • @lildoolez god bless u!

  • @lildoolez

Im 34 and have been on Warfrin now for 5 years. Ill be on it till I die too and have to say im so great full to be alive that the side effects are easy to deal with. I have my aortic valve replaced with a prosthetic one and have almost not altered my life style.

I have only had one bad case of internal bleeding in the leg after a basktball injury further nothing. I say thank you for life warfrin.

  • @ppaappoo12 "I have my aortic valve replaced with a prosthetic one and have almost not altered my life style." That is disgusting! Your lifestyle is the cause of your illness. You would be fine if you would stop eating so much meat and so little fiber. The quality of your life is going to disintegrate within the next 20 years you will be bed bound. No amount of medication can save someone who cares as little for their health as you.

  • @atwoods3

I got Endocarditis through some dentist work so it had nothing to do with my life style. I suppose from my one small post you probably know my situation well enough to throw judgments around.

  • @lildoolez you could probably be off that medication in the next 2 years if you started eating a VERY healthy diet and started drinking only water and fresh home made vegetable and fruit juices. Not saying you should stop taking the medication in lieu of this diet until a doctor says that it is safe. This medication like all medications is toxic and if you were to sustain any traumatic injury while on this medication you could very well bleed to death before emergency responders get there

  • @lildoolez: Why are you taking it, and have you tried a naturopathic approach?

  • @lildoolez thank you for sharing! You are a relatively young individual in the demographic taking Coumadin and may be a good candidate for switching to Dabigatran. I don't know your medical history, so you should speak with your doctor. Dabigatran has equal efficacy as warfarin in reducing thromboembolic episodes and doesn't require frequent INRs. Depending on variables relating to your personal medical history, it could drastically improve your quality of life.

  • WOW!!! this is so informative!!!! and Dr. Takami is HOTTTTT!!!!!!!!!!!

  • My mother went in the hospital friday she started to bleed through her nose and the bleeding wouldnt stop as of now she is in ICU on a respirator the bleeding can not be controled. We hope and pray we dont lose her. Please all of you taking this drug be extreamly careful.

  • Hi, how is your mother? is she Ok? I´m taking coumadin :-P

  • I wanted to add that my mom was hospitalized twice for choking eating issues and received suction in her lungs. The second time she happened to be on Coumadin(because she had 2 pulmonary embolisms). I noticed the container filled with blood. The next day she had a high fever and pneumonia symptoms.

  • I realized suddenly that the tube the put to her lungs through her nose probably lacerated or suctioned creating cuts that caused blood to pool in her lungs and also inflammation. She got pneumonitis. I wonder if this could have been the case for your mom.

  • I really liked the video :D

    Good for nursing students!

  • ok..............

  • My mother past away in 2004 while under Coumadin/Warfarin medication. She had been prescribed the drug because of an "irregular heartbeat" cause by one of her valves. She never suffered a stroke or heart atttach. One day she complained of a severe headache and asked to go to the hospital. In the emergency room, she fell into a coma and never recovered. All coumadin/Warfarim users: Beware of its serious side effects.

  • Irregular heartbeat could have caused a pulmonary embolus to form. This is why she was placed on warfarin as a prevention. Bleeding is the side effect. INR is closely monitored. Great care should be taken.

  • I've been on Counadin since 1992 and I too had several excutiating headaches and also fell into a coma. I came very clse to dying and appreciate your comments and am sorry for your loss. Mine was due to a subdural hemmorrhage in the brain. It took 2 yes to get back some of my memory and such, also have seizures because of the brain damage. I have to still get blood tests and as long as i watch my "INR" to make sure it isn't too high, i'm alright.

  • Thanks everyone for their comments and for sharing your experiences and knowledge. I sometimes think that my mom would have been better off not taking Coumadin/Warfarin. Instead she should have exercised more, walked more, danced more, watched her diet, and drank a little red wine every now and then. Seems like pharmaceutical companies reward doctors for prescribing and "pushing" their products. We should look at more holistic and natural ways to change our lives. Peace

  • It was the coumadin that caused that hemorrhage. As it thins the blood, it weakens the vessel walls causing bleed outs. I know another man who died from such a bleed out as ours.

  • You don't need the coumadin. Drink fresh grape juice everyday and you'll get the same benefits without the side effects. Also, drink at least 48 oz. of purified water everyday-this also will thin the blood. Go on a well balanced vegetarian diet. Take no caffeine or nicotine into your body, these are bad for the blood vessels.Dr.'s are not telling ppl the truth about getting off of these useless -dangerous drugs!

  • try having two strokes and nearly losing your life 5 times in the last 6 months and say try grape juice.......it aint working brother........lets stick to the rat poison and stay alive.

  • Actually I'd use garlic to thin the blood naturally, fish oil to relax blood vessels and keep the RBC's from sticking, and a product called Vivix, an antioxidant that thins the blood naturally, and requires a backing off of the rat poison. Fear instead of education can be deadly. Peace.

  • 1 tsp. of Vivix is like drinking 100 glasses of red wine-in the resveratrol in it. I used to steam my own grape juice. I notice now it's full of sugars, high fructose corn syrup, which is probably from GMO corn. Think of eating corn (90% of our corn is GMO) that is genetically altered to allow spraying with Roundup or other poisons, and it still lives, for us to ingest. MMmmm. Outrageous!

  • @rare1walking

you sound like you are in cahoots with Vivox company to help them sell

  • @damonandre: Have you tried a naturopathic approach?

  • I am sorry for your horrible loss. Even aspirin can cause stomach bleeding, and depletes Vita C, iron, folic acid and potassium. It's better to take CoQ10 from a reliable company for heart issues, and fish oil, garlic and I personally would use Vivix. It thins the blood and is a powerful antioxidant, made from grape skins and seeds, etc. Big Pharma and the AMA have colluded for years, for profit, and have caused untold misery.

  • @achriscity first off how old was your mother, why was she taking the medication, what was her life stlye like, eating habits, stress levels, coping methods, comorbidities, any family health issues, and other medications?

It sounds like she had a cerebral hemorrage but without being able to see anything else it sounds like you're using coumadin as a scape goat
