  • This sound is normal .. your turbo is ok if you golf doing this .. ;) Normal regulacion progress on turbo .. ..

  • i like your golf =)

  • turbo diesel <3

  • i thought it was gonna blow. but i love MY tdi ! :)

  • good to have the mk6 golf tdi back

  • @LigerZero1985 Amen brother!

  • fart cannon!

  • turbo:DDD

  • Ale klekocze!!! Wolksvagenowskie tłuki. Górą JTD!!!

  • @donfranki chyba Cię pojebało

  • @cirok89 He he.

  • @donfranki Fait 15 lat przed Vw? haha zajebisty tekst. Może mi ejszcze powiesz, ze fiat jest lepszy od VW? Pekajace głowice i padajace turbiny to chyba widziałeś u siebie w wyobraźni, albo u kogos kto nie dba o samochod pajacu. Pozdrawiam mistrzu kierownicy xD

  • @cirok89 Właśnie widać, kto tu jest pajacem... Te GŁOŚNE serie awarii, to cecha szczególna TDI z początku lat 2000-ych!

A gniły, to fiaty Uno.

  • where is the tractor??I can hear it but i can't see it....just put the stock exhaust back...

  • Ach du scheiße ist der breit, schmeiß ihn weg!

  • it's normal to get some smoke out when starting cold. my TDI does that too. you can see that after 30 seconds the exhaust is clean

  • towards the end, are you reving it or is the engine reving itself to warm up?

and on a second note, it looks like the rear wheels are wayyyy wide at that angle

  • That's the EGR closing that causes the turbo to spool up. Happens on my car as well

  • Mine does the exact same thing, sounds bad ass.

  • Sounds just like mine :) 2.5inch side pipe....Gotta let the turbo breath.....Wish there was some more videos of it...

  • hay guys. love to see people still not reading my previous replies. this car 1) stright pipe, 2) BAD TURBO. 3) rc3 tune 4)pp520 injectors

  • ,5) bad driver causing turbo to blow in first place (heres a tip if you want to mod a car dont start with a diesel ! )

  • @novaturbo79 how a bad driver causes a turbo to blow up? ig you just drive the car to slow it is a reason to mest up the turbo?ty

  • nice

  • All you sad uneducated people. This is a very clean and tight Diesel exhaust sound. Farting? Ha, that is because you are used to a Jap ricer burning Petrol rather than torque based raw efficient power.

  • doont soound good

  • Hört sich an wie ein "Raupenschlepper Ost"

  • bad sound

  • Factory tuned diesel exhaust is whiteish-blue. When you increase the fuel pressure the exhaust will turn black with soot.

  • Not true. When you increase fuel pressure fuel is better atomized thus resulting in more power but less smoke. When you increase the injector opening time you add more fule and thus more smoke, more power ang higher EGTs.

  • lol true

    sounds like a cessna 172

  • leuk zon tractor pffffff

  • damn, too noisy :o

  • open exhuast on a chipped tdi will actually get you a bit of power and fuel econ :) but this car is long gone.

  • Already sold it?

  • manyak olmuşş be

  • Lol you guys are stupid lol.

  • dude, learn to read previous posts...

  • Dude! What's wrong with your car? I also have a Golf TDI and it has never sounded this bad

  • You prolly don't live in a cold region, They have trouble on cold starts when its 50 or under.

  • i wouldnt say trouble.. my 04 doesnt have trouble until like under 25. the glow plugs only come on when its 40 or under.

  • Maybe not "trouble" per se, But they'll idle rough. Warm up quick enough though, and will smoke quite a bit more than they would if it were warmer.

  • NO they don't. I had one in NH and it started up in -10F with NO issues. The diesel motors of today are much different.

  • what have you done to it? it sound horrid

  • oh i like this sound TDI Engines RULLZ :X

  • the r32 is not a diesel?

  • r32's are not diesels

  • it was meant to be an exclamation mark.

  • MOTHER OF GOD

  • You realize that r32's arent diesel right? Lmao.

R32's have 24 valve Vr6's, Which very much do run on gasoline.

  • This is a typical old fashion TDI sound, i like my D-4D sound much more lol...

  • What a sexy sexy sound

  • sounds like shit?

  • I love diesel!

  • the car has been detuned and preped for a sale a while ago. i have a new toy now.

  • yea sounds like fox

  • Damn .. it sounds bad do you have a rolling shot of your car :) like to see it drive instead of seeing it idle

  • Is that car straight piped? Sounds good.

  • haha some people are fucking stupid

No shit its going to smoke when its cold out in the winter specially since it obviously has aftermarket exhaust and it is pumping larger amount of fuel because of a tune .. fuck them man car sounds sweet

  • so for me to do damage i would have to shut the motor down at FULL throttle in order to cause any damage to the brush bearing.

the actual problem with the turbo on the car is the build up of soot on the vaine actuators inside of the turbo. there are a lot of deposits and i need to create a lot of vacume in order to have the actuator move them.

  • with the turbo being bad there was no boost to help burn the extra fuel hence the smoke... and as for my turbo racing when i shut the car off is untrue as well. this turbo uses a brush bearing and as soon as i let go of the throttle the turbo spools down and at idle makes NO boost.

  • actually with a tdi, the egt's are so low you dont really need to wait for the turbo to cool (because it not that hot). also once again the car smokes because its not stock, the 11mm pump, big injectors, and tune to pump more fuel.

  • Part 2 A pd TDi didn't had any problem at -20 degres and the engine had 100 000 milles

    I had a 1.6 TD with 270 000 milles and it didn't smoke at all .

Sorry , I just can't read , I am just a die hard VW enthousiast and my first language is French buddy !

Have a good one , I just gave you my opinion and I'm a fool .

    JC

  • They are not Altezzas ... like in french : des claires ! ( clear )

I didn't say that you beated your car the day before , but you should always let your car cool down a minute or two before shutting it down . Hot oil will seaze in the turbo and destroy the seals after 40-50 k . It is not normal for a TDi to have these problems with a car with such low milleage .

    JC

  • Or the guy should let the car cool down after pounding his car ... that's the most frequent problem with these cars !

TDi are excellent engines , stupid people ruins them just like putting some Altezzas on a German car !

  • 1) first off those lights are not altezza, they are in the form of bmw lights which are half

    red and half clear.

2)the car was no beat on the day before, the vid was taken in the winter and it was VERY cold.

    3) the car had an oil change with synt diesel oil 3 days earlier ( as with all oil changes at 5k intervals)

4)the car in the video has 65k on it today, so thats a poor guess on mileage.

    5) if you could learn to read, try looking at my previous replies and you will know why it smokes

  • just to clear a few things up:

    1) thats my car

    2) those wheels are from an 01 wolfsburg jetta

    3) the car has streight pip, no cat or muffler

    4) car has pp529 injectors, 11mm pump, rc3+ software

    5) turbo is going bad (takes 15lb vacume to move vains) thats why it smokes and sounds like a diesel truck

  • i am have a diesel and i can tell you that

your engine has low compression and high wear out.

it is burning oil for some reason, MOST PROBABLY IRREGULAR OIL CHANGES have destroyed it.

your turbo has its bearings worn. it will be fine for the next 2 years.

this car is in TERRIBLE condition ! Someone must have sold it to you. Must be over 100k miles

Put an put some aditive in the OIL and sell it ! This will soon become a budget drainer !

  • This car? Looks and sounds (except the open exhaust sound) exactly like mine in the cold since I bought it new. - '03 TDI Golf - 130K miles currently

  • blue smoke is oil

  • diesel

  • diesel is BLACK not BLUE !

  • trateur inside

  • oO..... my golf not have this sound when is cold

  • Sounds cool. I like listening to equitment start when its cool out and count how long till she starts spinning good.

  • the rims looks like OEM Acura Integra rims!!!

  • MY 1.9D POLOIS MORE QUIT

  • Great sound but not normal.

  • wow look at that american diesel clag and smoke, u dont get that in europe and they sound nicer in the uk

  • lol, wut? it's cold out, there's gonna be white smoke out of ANY car until everything warms up. note the tree without leaves -- it's winter.

  • That's the EXACT sound a tdi makes when you cut the muffler off, including that nice turbo blowing....!

  • the american diesel is dirtier than the european diesel

  • yeah i think so

  • yeah sounds like a truck engine :D

It reminds me the old diesel engine of my old R19. ^
