Imagine how much electricity we can save if millions of CRT TVs are replaced by LED TVs or if they remove taxes from Hybrid cars like the toyota Prius. If they do that than a Prius will cost the same as a Toyota Corolla and a Prius is much more fuel efficient. They don't tax the Corolla because it locally made while the Prius is foreign made. They should also allow cars older than 3 years to be imported and reduce tax on imported cars so the local manufacturers have competiton and not a monoply.

Our government also has some stupid policies; on one side we are suffering from an electricity shortage the way to reduce the shortage is to remove tax from electricity efficient appliances like LCDs which consume 30% less electricity than their old counterparts and LED TVs consumes 10% less electricity than the LCD TVs.
