This is MY opinion, but I always thought Street Fighter and Fatal Fury were two of the coolest 2D fighting games. I always thought that Mortal Kombat tried too hard with fatalities and they just overdid it. You know what they say, too many cooks spoil the soup.

@joninyt I guess, I mean, I guess that's why everyone stopped using that corny stop motion real life people characters stuff that Mortal Kombat did. If you think about it, "Tekken and other similars" have more in common with Street Fighter & Fatal Fury. I mean, be honest, they do.

@jerzeyrunnerflash well i see your point for mk...but mk2 (to me was the best 2d fighter ever, i mean the playability was awesome) didnt it had a more animated feel! also the characters in mk were a lot darker than previous games. of course the series was destroyed after 2...and i never played the others, they looked crap...dont get me wrong though...street fighter / fatal fury i overplayed too!!!

when I was a young boy. I used to play street fighter a lot, not fatal fury. I thought Cheng was a boring character when I saw him. Lol.

Then I grew up and liked fatal fury-real bout more.
