There were 2 movies on the subject, and one excellent documentry. All the video does here is clear the air, that "Evacuation, (the term used at Wannsee), is "Extermination." This is what Himmler is expressing here. He is referring to Wannsee, verifying what is ongoing.

It's true. Reading a German dictionary of the 30's and 40's clearly proves that the word "ausrotten" had other meaning than "to exterminate". Because there were no genocide; The Allies have examined the rumors about a genocide. The August 14, 1944 letter from John McCloy, the U.S. Assistant War Secretary, says a study was done about whether it was necessary to bomb Birkenau (same thing with a August 2, 1944 letter by UK Chief Air Marshall Norman Bottomley). Those studies've been "lost" once again, but Auschwitz was never bombed..

Himmler is supposed to have said "a page of glory never mentionned and never to be mentioned" and "it should be mentionned amongst us and yet nevertheless we will never speak of it in public". The fact is that the Holocaust is not a mainstream subject in most schools nowadays, you only need to see the film "Auschwitz" by Uwe Boll (2010) to know that it is not even required detailed learning in Germany. Most of the people who visit this type of video have a specific reason in viewing the material. They either have a connection with the Shoah, a historical interest or are deniers. Very few 'casual' viewers are attracted.

@Lintflas Oh there certainly was, and it starts in 1942 with the Wannsee Conferance, and documents were saved from this meeting towards "The Final Solution," where the methods of killing were talked about in detail. There were 2 movies on the subject, and one excellent documentry. All the video does here is clear the air, that "Evacuation, (the term used at Wannsee), is "Extermination." This is what Himmler is expressing here. He is referring to Wannsee, verifying what is ongoing.

Wolfe also pointed out that in Himmler's handwritten notes for the speech, that Himmler used the term, "Judenevakuierung", or "evacuation of the Jews", not "extermination".

Evacuation was only used at the Wansee Conference in 1942, as the only surviving documents stated. It's true. Reading a German dictionary of the 30's and 40's clearly proves that the word "ausrotten" had other meaning than "to exterminate". Because there were no genocide; The Allies have examined the rumors about a genocide. The August 14, 1944 letter from John McCloy, the U.S. Assistant War Secretary, says a study was done about whether it was necessary to bomb Birkenau (same thing with a August 2, 1944 letter by UK Chief Air Marshall Norman Bottomley). Those studies've been "lost" once again, but Auschwitz was never bombed..

And that is exactly what the Germans were discussing at Wannsee. The logistics of removing all the Jews form Europe, how to transport them, and where to send them since no other nation was willing to accept them. The Auschwitz death-toll has now officially been revised to less than 1.1 million and this affects the overall Jewish numbers substantially. You really need to put it into perspective.
The fact is that the Holocaust is not a mainstream subject in most schools nowadays, you only need to see the film "Auschwitz" by Uwe Boll (2010) to know that it is not even required detailed learning in Germany. Most of the people who visit this type of video have a specific reason in viewing the material. They either have a connection with the Shoah, a historical interest or are deniers. Very few 'casual' viewers are attracted.

This particular video is a case in point, Who would want to listen to this historical document? What would the casual viewer/listener gain from it? I already knew of and heard this recording some time ago as part of my ongoing research into the Shoah. When I found it posted here I knew the type of comment I was likely to read, I was not disappointed.

An interesting side-note. The misuse of the word 'Holocaust' is an example of how lack of education can become popular myth. When properly utilised in English the word is holocaust not Holocaust. The capitalisation infers the destruction of European Jewry by the Nazis before and during WW2 and is exclusive use. Other holocausts have occurred throughout history but there has only been one Holocaust.

@rearly62 These were difficult times.The emerging Democracies were failing miserably, unable to deliver the economic and political stability/prosperity they promised. Society turned to the extremes of the Left and Right and polarised with catastrophic results. No one had a monopoly on attrocities, everyone commited them.
