I don't hear the relation to "Waitin' on the Robert E. Lee." But I go for this record. Its jazzy and rich with those sensuos strings. Nice work! Thanks for uploading! A wonderful glimpse of bygone Berliner Stil.

The original title is ...... "Sailing on the Robert E. Lee", a modern version of the old ragtime standard "Waiting for the Robert E. Lee" - and very popular in the early 1930´s in the USA and England.

The record had been sold in germany with the title " Was hat der Paul bloss mit der Paula gemacht... " ( 9 Months later she was child-bearing...)

The speaker is the banjo player Harold M. Kirchstein, recorded 19. August 1932 - Odeon O-11696/Be 9996
