I was diagnosed with a Bladder cancer Stage 1 - it was superficial - and i had the tumour removed - so am clear of it - am only 38 but will need regular check ups, it was very painful....still got the after effects of surgery - piece man!

God bless you devil dog. My uncle had his thyroid removed for similar reasons in 85. Twenty years later he is healthy as a bull. In fact he outlived my father (who passed away last year) who was always healthy. Anyway, god bless you and keep a smile.

Hey Rocha,

I had Thyroid Cancer in 1996. My Throid was removed along with some Lymphnodes. Hang in there and remember to take your Synthroid!! Also, the scar gets much better over time.

You won't notice it.

Hey, my wife had this, now going on two years back, her only real issue is that she is usually "cold" but in reality her body temp is pretty warm.

One a year she has to go in and get a low-level dose of "Nuke" medicine. Having been through NBC ops, it freaks me out a bit and I tease her about it, but really it's not a big deal.
