  • white people need to chill. yes there are japenese there but there are also alot of americans and their children hafus who basically are white anyway so white people or caucasians whatever dont worry youll fit in..

  • @MrInception12 I didn't really feel like I blended in, but I always felt welcome.

  • @AgileHProductions well you would blend with in with the half japenese people pretty well because they thend to look pretty white. but you wouldnt blend in with the japenese

  • I doubt my great grandpa would wanna take a vacation to Okinawa if yah catch my drift

  • @Jackass887 I'm sure my Grandpa would feel the same way.

  • The Japanese people love Americans...as long as politeness, kindness, and respect for the Japanese people and their customs are kept. Even the most hard-nosed American-skeptic appreciates a young man or woman showing deep respect for an older Japanese man or woman.

  • lol stsub0813 says " thank you" in Okinawan Language

  • Do the Japanese really hate foreigners that much? That's probably one of the big things keeping me from going.

  • @1009stumpy My experience was that their were tons of people who were very nice to me and none that weren't. I had many people offer to help me out when I wasn't even looking for help. It is the safest country on earth. You should go their if you want to. You won't regret it.

  • @1009stumpy

Sure they hate foreigners, just as much as Americans hate foreigners, Mexicans, Europeans etc. etc. Not to go to a country because of some bullshit you hear on the internet is stupid. Just go there man.

  • @1009stumpy Maillanders don't really like foreigners but Okinawans are so incredibly nice. I lived in Okinawa for 14 years and most love americans.

  • @1009stumpy I would have to agree with AgleHProductions they are really friendly and curious about tourists and gaikokujin

  • and once you're done with that tourist shit hit up some bars party and go crazy!!!

  • @LittleMsMadness

Kubasaki High school..and bars huh. Damnn that's how you guys do it? 16+ legal drinking age in Japan! I bet you don't even know they ask for ID's back in the US!

  • @Rao665 haha >.> I was pretty bummed when I realized they card in the states, I've been drinking since I was like 13 and bar hopping since 16.

  • ニフェーデービル

    thank you

  • Super recap ... Nice voice also ...

  • Im leaving for Okinawa until 2014. IM FREAKING OUT

  • @Zangdoodle No need to freak. You're going to have a blast.

  • @Zangdoodle You will enjoy every second if you are adventurous, have an open mind, and immerse yourself in their culture. One of this planets true jewls and a place of Magic! I grew up there and would give anything to revisit it for a while. Good luck and tell the cab driver he is a "bakatadi". It's a term of endearment! Make sure you put on your safety belt as there is nowhere else with cab drivers like Okinawa...especially if you are a round-eye.

  • Oh I love Okinawa!! :) And I see the guy eating the soba, it made me hungry, LOL. I miss Okinawan soba.

  • Even after 20 years on island, the last time I went to Kokusai street, I still get the ninja-X and taxi cab drivers telling me "Go home Gaijin".

    Gotta love it.

  • @DTanimaga I never experienced any of that. Little kids always liked to wave at me and say "Hello" in English. I thought it was cute.

  • Comment removed

  • @AgileHProductions Check it out at night. different place completely.

  • @DTanimaga

yeah just like we tell the illegals back in the US to "go home" funny shit huh!

  • I enjoy your vids! I have been in Okinawa but haven`t gone to Shuri castle yet so planning to do it, also starting my own channel too. Keep up the great job!!

  • @MsSevenstation Thanks. Have fun at Shuri. Are you going to make videos about Okinawa?

  • @AgileHProductions I would like to make vids on Okinawa but still learning how to make a video since I`m a total beginner. Any suggestions? I have my camera that records videos.

  • @MsSevenstation Focus on telling stories, nice audio and good camera technique. Camera tricks and special effects will bore your audience really quickly. You can have a really crappy camera, but if you take the time to use it correctly and tell a good story, then people will watch.

  • Great Job...

  • Man I really miss Okinawa...

  • @Jacksragingbileduct4 What did you do in OKi?

  • Barefoot on the beach? Not a good idea on Okinawa. Please set a better example for our tourists so that no one gets stung by deadly sealife.

  • Okinawa reeks of USA nowadays.

  • @Harlequin43 "Reeks" might be a little too strong. "Slightly scented" is how I would put it.

  • Me and friends are planning to live in Okinawa xD!

  • @xXrockyiszhereXx Where are you moving from?

  • if its ok with you, may i please use this video in my report?

  • @dogtail1011 Sure, as long as you subscribe to my channel and accept my friend request. What's your report about?

  • @AgileHProductions my reports about five different locations in the world. and one of them i chose is Okinawa! the other four i chose are mount sinai, RMS titanic, and st patrick's cathedral

  • @dogtail1011 Sounds good. Have fun!

  • I was there in July and October. I prefer October. It's slightly cooler.

  • I've done all 5!

  • @bigbuggie5 Hi-5!

  • when is the best time of year to go to okinawa?

  • Okinawa, the island of Karate and Kobudo. I love it!

  • Love this island I used to live there for 6 and a half years

  • When I was there with the Marine Corps, I went to all of these places. What a beautiful place!! :)

  • Been to all of these places! I love Okinawa!

  • I am so excited to find your video, they are amazing. I been in US over 35 years, been back couple of times and I really miss it. I was born and raised in Okinawa till I was 15, my mother is from island of Miyako. Thanks for making these video.

  • could anyone tell me, what kind of jobs available there? I find Okinawa very interesting here from Greenland! The ir culture is interesting too:) I´, at high school (last year)

  • I sure will AgileHProductions, so do you live in Japan??

  • @ylopz19 No. I have only been twice. It's a great country though. I studied Japanese language and history in college.

  • I WILL BE MOVING TO OKINAWA IN 6 MONTHS!

    SUPER EXCITED, CANT WAIT!!!

    THANKS FOR THE TIPS =)

  • @ylopz19 That's awesome. Have fun. Come back and leave some comments about what your favorite things to do are once you are there. Check out my new video about Hiji Falls if you like hiking.

  • Don forget to tell everyone to visit "Whisper Alley"...the kids will LOVE IT!

  • I've been stationed on and off here since 2006. It's a wonderful place, can definitely see myself retiring here one day. By the way, the locals don't hate military members as much as the papers say - most of them are indifferent to us being here. At least, my girlfriend is. :)

  • i miss okinawa........

  • @Juliacries

what were you doing in Okinawa? And what kind of jobs do they have? Seem to be a good place.

  • @blu2nium i was there for couple months, I didn't work there. My fiance was in the military USAF his duty was in oki. I'm not sure what kind of job do they have, you may try to find the information in okinawa site. probably they have information about the job.

  • I lived there for 4 years and am moving back this week. I can't wait to see my friends again.

And the 5 picks were all good choices.

Eat more sushi and Soke Soba!

  • The most amazing place I've ever lived! I miss Okinawa so much.

  • MY HOMELAND!!

    i miss it!! :[

  • If you allow me, I would like to add the Okinawa Museum in Naha (so you get a good idea of Okinawa's golden age, the war and post-war trouble with the US). Knowing these things makes you appreciate Okinawa even more, as suddenly you will recognize and understand things.

Then go to Shuri Castle, and walk along the Stone Paved Alleys back to Kokusai Dori for a good dinner!

  • That's a good tip! Thanks for sharing.

  • You're welcome! So nice seeing your video's, I use them now to plan my next trip to Okinawa!

  • James, I enjoy your videos about Okinawa. I lived there as a teen in '78-'83 and loved the place. It's such a beautiful island. I remember Expo '75 (or '76) that you call Ocean Expo. I think they had a Great White on display when I was there although they don't tend to fare so well in captivity so I'm not sure how long it lasted. I also loved Okuma Falls a swimming hole you have to hike to, but then you swim in this beautiful place and can go under the waterfall.

  • I've been to all 5 =) The beach near the Expo park has beautiful white sand. I recommend snorkeling or scuba diving in Okinawa. The water is so clear and there is a ton of colorful fish near the coral.

  • Stay out Whisper Alley(redlight district) and The Show(strip joint) If you get station at Camp Schwab, you may want to refer to this video.

  • i was there for 2 years and never heard of those places

  • i don't know about "the show" but whisper alley is off gate 2 street outside kadena. it is hardly a district-more like a small alley consisting of two houses where 60+ year old women still sell themselves. as for "the show", well, i have never heard of it. i'm trying to think of places around camp schwab but i think the nearest area of fun (i use that word loosely) is around the camp hansen area.

  • karate KID

  • Churaumi Aquarium is my #1.

  • great video :]
