  • hey i have some questions! how do you connect your guitar to the kaoss pad? better yet can you explain all the connections from the guitar to the amplifier?

the amplifier needs to have a midi jack connection??

  • What did you used to create the sustainer? When you play at the same time with the Roland hexaphonic pick up and the X-Y pad, you plug-in at the guitar just the two pin connector?

  • awesome set up :) just so I can get a decent idea, about how much did the equipment(minus the guitar) cost? not including tools or labor or anything

  • Can you do a demo on your synth pickup and how it works? Very nice guitar too by the way!!

  • Would have been much more awesome if you left the silver tribal pattern chrome ;)

  • Inspiring video. Obviously a lot of work gone into it. Are you in a band? You've obviously got talent. Need more videos uploaded!

  • hey, do you think its worth just moding an okayish guitar with similar kind of stuff that you have, or do you think its better to buy a pro guitar then mod that?

  • @SmallFish616: The better the guitar you start off with the better the end sound, but as a first time I wasn't comfortable spending say £500 in a guitar that I could possibly ruin by cutting into or not finishing the project. The sustainer has a great sound though and this is the cheapest tele I could buy. Just make sure you have enough room after the bridge to put in the kaoss pad. Tele's, strats and les paul customs are great hosts.

  • Is it possible to use the Fernandes sustainer driver as a pickup and sustainer at the same time (think one humbucker guitar with the sustainer only)? I've heard all kinds of things about it and can't seem to get a straight answer.

  • @TVRobot1: I don't think so because the sustainer uses the back pickup to boost the signal as far as I'm aware.

  • how much did this cost all together??

  • @StHowie: £700 for the guitar a further £700 for the pedals to support it (kaoss pad, digitech whammy and roland synth pedal)

  • does both the sustainer and xy pad run off the same battery?

  • @TheYubaYuba: No but the x-y pad doesn't take up much battery I think it's the LED that does.

  • its verry cool guitar but i unfortunatly dont like the neck but thats just me but verry cool all up

  • Hey, could you explain me how to install the kit?is it solder to jack output or is it independent?thanks, regards

  • @davidcrm2: It's very complicated, the x-y pad doesn't actually create any sound it just connects to a midi socket. The roland synth comes out of both its own 13 pin socket and the jack and so is connected to the jack, The pickups both go to the sustainer circuit board then to the jack.

  • THATS ONE HELL OF A GUITAR

  • "Ye so that's really really good"

  • How is the Kaoss pad and X-y screen set up? Also, where can i get an X-Y pad?

  • @MightyLemur: The kaoss pad is external, the x-y pad goes to a midi controller inside the guitar which cables to the kaoss pad. There is no need to alter the kaoss pad with this set up.

  • Susatin qliao eterno xd!!, me encanto tu guitarra weon xd

Eternal Sustain, i like it xd, Pretty guitar ;D!

  • sweet how do you connect the kaoss to the amp though? can it go in the same amp as the guitar (if the amp has 2 inputs)?

  • @colashanacogh

the guitar signal goes through the kaoss pad on the way to the amp. the kaoss pad isnt in the guitar

  • @mdenny831 ah right i get you, so its like a guitar going to a pedal then to an amp

  • @mdenny831 I would love the cicuit on how u set ti up!! and i would like to know where u got all the parts from! please cheer!

  • @mdenny831 DUDE WHERE DID U GET THE XYPAD FROM??? I GOT A KP3 but i can't find a XY pad ANYWHERE!! HELP PLEASE!

  • @greenmusedayvideos: eBay. took me ages to get hold of one, the pad is avaliable from korg spares for £30 but it's the midi controller that is a custom build from some guy on eBay

  • did you buy that midi kit, or did you make it form scratch?

  • @ryanmulvaney

bought it off ebay, search gazlang on youtube i think he has some videos

  • hey.which kaoss pad is that exactly?

and how did u install it?

  • @zudah369

the kaoss pad isnt in the guitar its seperate. there is a midi controller in the guitar and an x-y pad that controls a kaoss pad

  • hey mate how much is that whole thing!!?

  • @saima0717

£700 for the guitar, £1500 with all the effects pedals

  • hey. how do you change between the different effects on the kaoss pad with on this guitar?

  • @richardp1192

The third knob along is a rotary controller which combined with the midi controller changes the effects on the kaoss pad, also if you click it down it will then control a digitech whammy

  • maybe you should buy a lamp too..lol..

  • dude thats shit hot man

    how much it cost?

check out my matt bellamy rig aswell ;)

    im jealous dude

  • @muse03 : it cost about £700 but thats without the cost of the whammy and the kaoss pad which were about £110 each and the synth pedal which was more like £300. so yeah, not cheap
