This show is nothing more than prosylatizing the bhudist religion. Why is BBC making documentaries about religion and calling it "India" its not about India this "is called bait and switch"
Jesus rose from the dead walked on water healed the sick and forgave sins why not teach his teachings
@MrNewkingjames hi,, buddism was born in india.. but some dont believe.. but india plays major part in buddhas life... christianity never played major role in indian history.... where as islam had also major role in indian history.... documentries are made on best available facts...
you should first learn the first religion of the world. What Jesus did was documented in hindu religion thousands years back before jesus came!!!. We all knw Bible is made up of stories taken out of other books.

1) Buddhism isn't a religion. It is commonly misunderstood and mistaken as a religion, but in its purest form it is a school of knowledge and philosophy better compared to Confucius than to Christ.
2) Buddhism is a vital part of India, India is also a vital part of Buddhism. Just as the rise of North America is largely tied to that of the Pilgrims and Christianity, and the culture of Japan is deeply intertwined with that of Shinto-ism, you can't not talk about Buddhism in relation to India.
3) This is only part 6 of 24, and if I'm not wrong the chapter on ideas and the Buddha only takes about 3~4 parts. If you find it so hurtful to learn more about other religions you could skip forwards instead of making a fool out of yourself.
i very much love this, i only wish that they had expanded on the social justice part. Because the subject is much bastardized and is currently being used to instigate the destruction of western civilization. And, most importantly, i want to clarify what i mean by that.................... the self-destructive and hateful is all that those who preach the popular "soc. justice" are pushing
