I'll have to post a virtual ride in my 79 powerwagon. It sounds a little different than yours. I like your old truck with the 318 in it though and you are right, you don't see too many on the road anymore.
Nice to see other guys with old Dodge trucks. My first vehicle was a '79 Dodge with a 318 just like yours. Still have it parked back at my parents' house but I'm gonna have to get rid of it here soon. I have a lot of memories with that old truck. Not too many 70's Dodge's on the road anymore. They were a dime a dozen when I was a kid in the 80s.
Yeah, they're good trucks, but they didn't sell nearly as many as Chevy and Ford. Chrysler was actually going to drop out of the truck business in the 80's, just use the tooling until it wore out. But the success of the "Ram" brand image introduced with a redesign in '81 brought truck sales up a lot, so they changed their minds.
My first car was a 1977 Adventurer 150 Club Cab long bed with factory air. It was such a piece of shit, but I miss the good times. Thanks for posting, it took me back.
I noticed that in this video when you started up this 1979 Dodge truck, it made no sound at all. Did you cut the buzzer wires or did it not come with a buzzer?
It did have a buzzer. It's a little box behind the dash next to the radio. It was the loudest, most obnoxious buzzer ever, so I un-plugged it when I replaced the stereo.
om man thats sweet, nice old dodge..

Yes, I do still have it but room is scarce where I live now, so it's parked at a friends farm for now.
