Looks like a Smith torch to me.So he could turn acetylene to 5 and oxy down to 20 and the hole torch down till he gets a clean feather.If you can hear it ,its too hot for a clean cut.I like the 00 from 16ga to 3/16''. 1/4'' plate maybe,but then I would have to break my rule about being able to hear the torch howl.

You need to set the oxygen at 40 and your acetylene at 10. Always drill a pilot hole when you plan to start a cut in the meat of the metal. Saves gasses. Use a double 00 tip. You're using a 1 or 2 and it's way to big, melting back in behind the cut and leaving tons of slag. Always cut off the acetylene first and then the oxy. Your tip will stay cleaner and sharper. Just trying to help dude. I got 35 years of making metal my bitch. Don't know shit about cats. The music took me back, thank you.

Dont you have a plasmarc as well? That by far is cheaper, cleaner than oxyy/propane. My Lincoln Procut 55 is a well used shop tool. For those of you reading this that have never used a plasma cutter but used a torch, try one, you WILL like it.
