    les paul, the bes, ever

  • he dosn't look 88

  • Que pena que perdemos essa grande estrela, mas o que eu queria muito era essa guitar que ele ta tocando, ela tem um som aveludado.........

  • Now he's making Gods signature Les Paul custom. It costs $15,000.

  • TheChickenMoneyKing He is in R&R Hall of Fame since 1988 and since his music predated R&R, he was selected by the committees unlike the other inductees where they were inducted. He's among a handful musicians who has the permanent, stand-alone exhibits in the hall though.

  • God Bless his soul

  • Eras un amor. Me enamoraste

  • Happy Birthday PAUL :D

  • his guitar sings like a living

  • @MrRogalsky Albert told me his last equation before he died.. LP=IA ( les paul is alive) Nostradamus told me''there would be les paul's around the world'' jesus told me '' les paul will jame with me and dad together in heaven''

  • happy birthday we want atleast 10 more Les Paul in future who can make new inventions in our guitar... !!

  • Happy Birthday!

  • Les Paul didn't just create the Les Paul guitar. The guitar was named after him because he was the person who created the electric guitar concept. Because of him we, almost a centuries worth of glorious music was made. The blues of the 50's the rock of the 70's all possible because of this man. Chances are, if it wasn't for him, most of your favourite bands wouldn't exist.

  • Itis very nice

  • wow, how i wish i can play like that when i turn 88. o.o

  • Is there only double bass? No electric bass?

  • @TheChickenMoneyKing

He even has his own stand alone exhibit.

  • Tom and Jerry...great song! RIP

  • What a better death than playing the instrument you created ...

  • Who are his backing musicians?

  • He couldn't play quite like he did 50 years prior, but he still schooled most of us, if not all of us. Thanks, Les. RIP

  • just look at the passion he puts into his guitar playing.. RIP

  • woman bass player is great wow

  • woman bass player is great wow

  • This is Very Impressive for a man his age, I cant believe he's still playing this good just 7 years before his death, that makes him 87, as he died i think. either way, My grandma could hardly use the Tv remote on her own at 84, and Here Les is jamming at 87.

  • R.I.P. LP

  • I LOVE my les paul! Thanks Les Paul - R.I.P :´(

  • now with both of the best guitar creators away who is going to push the guitar where it hasn't :(

  • You are my Hero Les Paul!!! R.I.P

  • His fretting hand looked pretty stiff then...but for 88 years old, I guess that is to be expected. What a great talent he was. R.I.P. Les.

  • @LUckybones25 I think he had arthritis in his hands for several years before he passed away - which makes his continued career that much more remarkable.

  • He's the oldest man I've seen play a guitar with such skill.

  • Rest in peace Les Paul....

  • R.I.P

  • You can obviously hear his Django Reinhardt influence here! He was his favorite guitarist.

  • The song is "Back Home Again in Indiana"

  • Les Paul isn't in the rock and roll hall of fame? Every top rock guitarist has played a Les Paul Gibson guitar at some point....wow..... If Les Paul isn't in the Rock and Roll hall of fame, its like saying that Beethoven didn't influence Rock and Roll either. Without Les Paul and Beethoven...there wouldn't BE rock and roll as we know it today.

  • @TheChickenMoneyKing

Les is in the rock and roll hall of fame!

  • @THEIRIDIUMCLUB Thank you for clarifying that....it wasn't clear from the other comments. I was making arrangements to come to New York to visit the Iridium Club when I got the news about Les passing away. He was the best ever.

  • @THEIRIDIUMCLUB He has a great style of playing but he's not really the big soloist is he? I mean he plays relatively simple songs... atleast here... Was he fast and stuff like that? Not that speed etc. makes a guitarist, just to make it clear ofc... feeling and shizz is needed...

  • @TheChickenMoneyKing Les Paul was inducted in 1988 but not as a rock n roll guitarist but as someone who pre dated rock and roll but helped shape it.

  • @TheChickenMoneyKing but you forgot that he hates rock, he said in an interview that all the rock guys use his guitar for aweful noise.

  • @TheChickenMoneyKing Good question? maybe they didn't consider him rock and roll. But I agree with you, he should be inducted, or at least recognized since he is gone now :(

  • @BandWagonDisaster Hi Bandwagondisaster....I was informed and corrected by the Iridium Jazz Club that LES PAUL IS IN THE ROCK AND ROLL HALL OF FAME....so I need to clarify and correct my earlier comment. Sorry for the confusion...LES PAUL WAS WONDERFUL!!!!

  • @TheChickenMoneyKing thats more like it. thanks for the information

  • @TheChickenMoneyKing I was corrected by the Iridium Jazz Club that LES PAUL IS IN THE ROCK AND ROLL HALL OF FAME. I want to clarify and correct my earlier comment.......thank you Iridium Jazz Club for correcting me and I want to end any rumors that he ISN'T in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. Les Paul can NEVER be replaced.....but hopefully some young people will follow his example of pure guitar wonderfulness!!!!!!!! Thank you Les...RIP!!!!!

  • @TheChickenMoneyKing He's not? THOSE BASTARDS!

  • @TheChickenMoneyKing beethoven seems a slightly strange choice here, and im not trying to say that classical didnt influence it but surely bach or mozart or even wagner would have been a better example?

  • @TheChickenMoneyKing

No. He was inducted into the hall of fame 23 years ago actually.

  • @TheChickenMoneyKing he is in, who said he wasn't

  • @TheChickenMoneyKing The Hall of Fame if for famous"Rockers"why the fuck would he be in the rock N roll hall of fame, mad props for his playing ability but with that said, its about as far from rock as you get on a guitar. It would be like putting jimi hendrixs mom in the hall of fame for giving birth.

  • @mojoganjamaster420 well then why the fuck is madonna in the rock and roll hall of fame?

  • @mojoganjamaster420 Hendrix momma didn't invent Jimi. Les Paul did however invent the electric guitar so that's not a fair comparison.

  • @mojoganjamaster420 No you're really not educated in music then, the Rock n Roll hall of Fame is for influential people in music as a whole. Also, he sold millions of records in the 1950's as a blues artist before he became famously known as the creator of the Gibson Les Paul. Don't post shit that makes you look stupid.

  • @TheChickenMoneyKing he was inducted in 1988!

  • @TheChickenMoneyKing he has been inroduced 1988 ;))

  • @TheChickenMoneyKing no Hall of Fame makes a man a LEGEND

  • @nuKal4metal les paul is LEGEN....

    ..DARY :D

  • so this is the guy?

dang, you'd think his hands would cramp up!

  • i can only hope i can play like that when i'm 88! RIP Les!

  • what song is he playing at 2:02 plese tell me

  • (To les paul thank you very much,) the man is one of the top legends and yes he deserve's a place in the rock-n-roll hall of fame.

  • I Love Him He Is Awesome, R.I.P.. We All Loved You

  • this sounds like a jam from ren and stimpy, but nontheless a classic jazz funk tune in its own right.

  • For a man who never played rock, he sure did have a lot of influence on it. Rock Hall of Fame 1988

  • 0:55 - 1:20 O_o

  • eventhough this song is old u can see that a lot of famous guitarists were influenced by his style

  • Comment removed

  • lets resurrect him

  • Totally Agree :D

  • Nicki You look Beautiful on that Bass Bay!!!

  • he invented electric guitar u asshole

  • you are a nobody no1 cares about u fool lol u a bitter critic cuz u got no talent its obvious go troll under a bridge u geek.
