  • @featcheater I don't like to carry my LCP in my front pocket, even with carthartt jeans. If I am wearing dress pants, forget about it! The Nano is a little bigger than an LCP so I personally would still wear this with an IWB holster, but that's just me.

  • @FlagrantAvidity I'm looking into holsters now. Not many available for the Nano yet. I'm thinking about getting the Desantis mini scabbard holster for the Nano but they are out of stock.

  • Chuck could you show yourself with the Nano in your front pocket or something similiar. I'm looking for a pocket pistol and the Nano looks fantastic but I'm a little concerned that it's too big to be a pocket pistol. All I've seen as far as concealment is guys throwing them in their coats...well I can throw my Glock19 in my coat, I want something I can put in the front pocket of my pants (in a holster) and forget about it. Thanks in advance!

  • @featcheater I'll try to do that tomorrow

  • @featcheater I would like to see that as well

  • POS. have you ever heard of the Glock 26?

  • @glockmeister26 Yes, I own a Glock 26 gen 3, excellent pistol. I am a Glock advocate and own five Glocks. The Beretta Nano is also an excellent pistol. Have well over 3200 rounds through the Nano so far. Very well made, quality fit and finish.

  • I played with the LC9 at a gun show this weekend, really love the gun, but just can't get used to with the long trigger pull. It will definitely will effect my accuracy. I found out that the finger will go so far back in a straight line, then after certain point it will slightly pulls side way to pass the final point such a case on a long pull. Still deciding.............haha.........can't make up my mind what to get.

  • @moderndesignworks I had the same issue with the LC9. I got a shortened trigger bar from Galloway that moved the break about 3/8 inch forward. I tested the LC9 a few days ago and I could shoot out the bulls eye with it at 7 yds. A huge improvement. But I used Sellier and Bellot ammo and now the firing pin channel is clogged with primer metal giving light strikes. My LC9 doesn't like Sellier & Bellot or Remington Golden Saber. I'll know more after I clean the LC9 and inspect it.

  • @Chuck23250 Thanks!

  • Was considering this, but yeah the trigger bothers me a bit. Also wish the grip was just slightly longer. Probably a mag attachment would fix that.

  • @PFULMTL I understand that the long trigger pull is designed in as a safety feature but for me it makes the difference between 6 to 8 inch groups and 3 to 4 inch groups. As an example I have a Ruger LC9 which has an even longer trigger pull. I installed a modified trigger bar that moved the break forward and shortened the pull. My group sizes were immediately cut in half. The trigger has a huge effect on my accuracy.

I have gotten accustomed to the short grip and I don;t even think about now.

  • 8;48 polimer screw driver so i wont scratch it up ... taps on gun with screw driver lol ...

  • this gun is super fugly

They should have made a Pxs storm it would have been a hit.

Pxs being thin single stack 9mm

Hey beretta give me a job cause your r and d team had a total brain fart on this thing.

  • Very nice review. The specifications are impressive, but how does it compares against Kahr PM9? And the like? What are your opinion on that? Thanks

  • @vaneztax I don't have any experience with the Kahr PM9. The PM9 is pretty much the same size as the Nano but just a slight bit smaller, lighter, and has a better quality polygonal rifling in the barrel. The PM9 is also more expensive at about $600 compared to the Beretta Nano price at about $400.

  • NU0003xx

  • what is the range of your ser#. Don't give the exact number but the general range. Thanks in advance

  • I had 13 FTE out of 2580 rounds fired. Using various ammo 115 grain and 124 grain.

  • @Chuck23250 i'm not too familiar with automatics. Is this a a reasonable FTE rate?

Also, did there seem to be any pattern to the FTEs? Clean, dirty, first shot, last shot, did anything seem to make a difference?

I've got around 200 rounds through mine, and I like it a lot. Thanks for the video!

  • On the beretta website there are numerous complaints of FTEs. Have you had many. What type of ammo are you using?

  • N0 I didn't check the trigger pull weight but I read that it is about 9lbs. The pull feels like a Glock to me but longer. I can get decent accuracy with the Nano so the trigger isn't a problem for me unlike the Ruger LC9 trigger which does affect my accuracy when shooting the LC9.

  • Did you measure the weight of the trigger? I have one on layaway now. Trigger seemed very stiff at the dealer. -Russ

  • I don't blame you for worrying about scratching the finish with a screwdriver. What you should do is wrap a paper towel or one of those blue disposable shop towels around the head of the screwdriver then use it on your gun. It acts as a buffer or cushion between the two. I use a blue disposable shop towel on all my screwdrivers, star tools etc when working on my Harley. It keeps all my screws, etc from rounding off & also it makes the tool & screw fit tighter so there is no "play" between them.

  • @rob25910 I use a penny.

  • I am anti always cocked striker fired guns, I don't know if the Nano is, however I see the Glock like trigger so called safety? I had considered many different Guns, including a Taurus 709 but they appear to all be cocked. I own 3 Glocks, never carry them. I have 10 D/A or DAO, or D/A S/A handguns which I prefer for EDC or home defense. I believe I quite satisfied at this time? My latest is a S&W CS9 D/A S/A decocker in nickel, like made in heaven, but no longer made. Even my LC9 is semi cocked.

  • Oh man, the Kel Tec PF9 causes my hand to sting after 100 rounds. Really, you can feel it after the first shot. No comparison between how comfortable the Nano is compared to the Kel Tec PF9. I shot the Nano for two hours straight on several range sessions shooting over 600 rounds in each of those two hour sessions with no discomfort at all.

  • So it is not as tough on the hand as the keltec pf9 for so many rounds?

  • Yes, The Nano is a great little 9mm. Once you learn the trigger the Nano can be very accurate.

    Thanks

  • I love my Beretta Nano, I've learned the trigger pull on mine very well and have it timed basically. I've noticed when my trigger finger is just about to cover the whole mag release button it's at the break point and the gun will be firing with just the slightest pull remaining.

  • too bad about the trigger

  • Thank you, glad you liked it. I am doing another review now that the Nano has over 2300 rounds through it.

  • You need a Walther PPS. Oh. you can still hold the slide back because the slide lock is flat grip as I can see on your nano. Also it may help if you held the slide back or in place when you turn that release flat head screw. That way you would have resisting force that would mauh up that screw head as you turn it.

  • Very good review. Thanks for your time.

  • Your'e right!

I should have said "designed by a progressive California lawyer"

  • What the aching fuck does using or not using the striker deactivator to disassemble have to do with political correctness? That's the dumbest thing I've heard in months, thanks.

  • Thanks, glad you enjoyed the video. I now have 1650 rounds through the Nano. My next range session will put it past 2000 rounds

  • i also had the kimber solo, had issues and sent back to kimber, got it back, first range trip still had same issues.so i sold it and got the beretta nano also, love the gun,no issues at all,i got a lot better gun for alot less money.great vid.

  • @Ourhriend. I use a penny also. Even a nickel works. The nickel is a bit more snug.

  • Yes, I understand the trigger pull is long, but not as bad as the Ruger LC9. I own a Smith & Wesson CS9. It has an outstanding trigger. DA and SA. If you have ever shot the SC9 then you understand my complaint. The CS9 has a 3 inch barrel, is small size, holds 7 + 1, and is extremely accurate. The smooth trigger and Novak sights makes all the difference.

After 1000 rounds My group size at 21 feet is now 3" wide x 6" high. That is a group of 50 rounds. When I started my group was 12 inches.

  • It's a striker fired pistol with a DAO trigger. The trigger pull is supposed to be long. It's a sub compact with a short sight radius. It's intended for self defense not target shooting. With a little practice you should be able to cover your group with the palm of your hand at 21'.

  • @JPBill2 Having to pull the slide back to cock the pistol each time is like a single action pistol trigger rather. The striker is partially cocked before the trigger is pulled. A true DAO, the striker or hammer is totally uncocked.

  • I use a penny for the takedown. Don't use the mag base, you'll tear it up.

  • @chuck. I am eagerly awaiting your update. ;)

  • Glad you liked it.

I'm going to shoot again this Friday and will do another report after 1500 rounds. My concern is to verify whether the occasional failures to eject are ammo related, grip related, or gun related.

  • +1 for the video Chuck. As soon as I saw that Beretta was advertising it without a slidelock, I immediately wondered "how would the user clear a double-feed?". Thanks for showing how you managed to do it during a practice session.

  • Verticle error in a group is usually a breathing issue. There is no getting around the fact small 9 mm are hard to shoot well for the average shooter.

  • Nice Firearm.
