When i first say Emily play i was like O-M-G! Shes an amazing little prodigy and i love the piece she's playing. I can't play solfeggietto that well! Keep on playing!
Hey, I just learned this! (I've only been playing for you know, eight years, and I'm twelve. This girl makes me feel bad about myself....) But it actually is rather easy to play, very repetitive.
Being serious now though that was wonderful. Her hands can't even span the distance between some of the keys yet and she plays it so well. Of course, compared to how well I normally play that she's already a god.
Brava! When I saw that little girl walk out I thought it would proceed at a beginner's pace. I was delighted to hear a true prestissimo with excellent control throughout--all from someone who needs a pedal extender!
this aint a gift from god...shes just a brilliant and very talented musician. why do people always have to turn to magic for amazing stuff? give her the credit! not some dude im the clouds :L
Well done! She didn't play it too fast but her definition of individual notes could have been better and not so blurry (hard to do with little hands) but marvelous work nonetheless. My daughter is only 7 and also playing this piece but these kids are not robots but are especially gifted, love what they do and work hard at it. Thanks for sharing!
Your supposed to play the song fast. I'm working on the song. It's supposed to be played as fast as you possibly can while getting every not correct. An there is no harmony bastard you no wiz
@ClassicalFan28 The tempo of the piece is Prestissimo. That is as fast as music can be played; it's hard to play this quickly such a short piece and add emotion.
sure it needs some skill to play that fast but then this song sounds as if a robot was playing it. I wonder if she's able to play this song a bit slower with more emotion. That's something most of these "ultra fast prodigys " cannot do.
The speed is impressive. I can't play that fast. But I prefer playing the song slower. You feel the emotion behind the song better. Or if not better, differently. I love the feel of this song when slowed down.
im 16 ive been playing piano scince i was 4 practice 4 hrs a day, i get this song, had it for about a month, cant play it near as fast as she is, im still messing up the notes everywhere, come on here to search for a professional pianist to play it, find this one, listen, and she is near perfect, she hasnt gotten all the dynamics down, but come on guys, even though shes a child prodigy, most child prodigies arent great with dynamics, give her 10 years and she will be one of the best pianists
When people on YouTube try to show admiration by commenting they make it pretentious by: talking about themselves or their children, commenting on the piece as if they would know it intimately, and lastly by commenting on "the beautiful detail". THERE IS NO DETAIL. Just 16th notes, agility, and detail which Ms. Bear professionally shows.
People should only comment on the piece if they personally experienced it. For example, the parent who said the speed is the easy part obviously isn't a pianist, for anyone who has tried attempted this piece know that dexterity and agility is the challenge in this piece.
really? she doesn't have control of dynamics or you think I am talking about something else? there are plenty people on youtube that can play as fast, but fast does not mean good.
maybe I did not make myself clear. I said she is very good. I did not say she is not good. I was just pointing out that she is good not only because she is fast at that age, but also has very good control.
@shakenama I'm a pianist as well, and I know that anyone who can't play the piano, or just not very well, would say that Twinkle Twinkle Little Star is complicated. However, I agree with you. The song does appear to be rather difficult. I just thought I would put that out there.
This is such a tallented you girl! She obviously has tremedous skill, but to have this level of musicallity at such a young age is amazing. The dynamics, accents; all the details were brilliant. Music world, meet our next Glen Gould.
That was really amazing thumbs up. She should of practiced a lot. I am nine years old and I really do not know how to play that yet. I play piano and violin, and I really want to play cello too. I wonder how she got that good.
This is VERY good for someone of that age.. if you were about 5 years older it wouldn't be so impressive with the many finger slips , but this is really good for someone as young as you
I don't understand anyone saying the vid was accelerated. Her body motions would appear odd and awkward if that were true. Come on people, just enjoy the brilliant talent of this girl! :)
@w13b3 I can tell you Emily is not forced to play the piano, if anything she is forced to get up from it plus I did not accelerate the video this was just the way she played it when I taped it
@w13b3 OH NO!!...why would parents force their kids to do something worthwhile?? :'(....All kids should be able to do anything they want and do things half assed and stop whenever they're bored....cause that's how you succeed in life!
I honestly think this is quite a bit too fast for the piece I can't seem to hear the clarity of the notes all that well, not a great performance in my opinion
The clarity is affected by the recording, not by Emliy's talent. If you want to hear the same, but yet a more clear recording cut & paste this after "/watch?" after the youtube address in your address bar:

;) indeed @vampiracy when you are young you have GREAT memory! Yup to be able to play something like that with small hands is really impressive. I'm not so sure if I could be able to play that though. ;)
She plays many pieces very beautiful, but this is not one of her best performaces. Her fingers are not getting off the keys fast enough between each note os it sounds muffled and quite sloppy. Good luck to her from one composer to another.
This comment has received too many negative votesshow
Too quick - the notes are too slurred and I don't like it when it is rushed like this, yeah your good, but that's trying a little too hard to show off isn't it? Play more in the style, but good feeling in the peice.

She plays many pieces very beautiful, but this is not one of her best performaces. Her fingers are not getting off the keys fast enough between each note os it sounds muffled and quite sloppy. Good luck to her from one composer to another.

I think it's because her hands are soooo little! It is still incredible and it will be when her little hands grow too :)

This comment has received too many negative votes show
Too quick - the notes are too slurred and I don't like it when it is rushed like this, yeah your good, but that's trying a little too hard to show off isn't it? Play more in the style, but good feeling in the peice.
