I believe that the MIB had an ideal plan on how to kill the MIW(Jacob) but Jacob saw it coming and out smarted the MIB. JAcob knew the only way to defend himself was to bring the oceanic 6 back (as u see him try to get hurley in the cab) and then send them back in time. I also believe that if the bomb works and they prevent themselves from coming to the island, then they will still remember everything (the body time travels, but the mind dosn't).

The loop hole is that the smoke monster can not physically kill Jacob. So Smokey needs someone else to do it for him. Smokey would be mortal and then banished.

I hope they don't bring Locke back. Don't hate me, he's my favorite character. But I think it's so badass that his purpose, all along, was to die so he could be used as a proxy. It's like Desmond said when he met Faraday's mother, Ellouise Hawking-- that they're all just pawns in some game. Locke is no exception.

I think it would be cheap for him to come back.

ben doesnt kill jacob; locke kicks him onto the fire. so after all of that work, the man in black screws up and kills jacob himself, negating the entire thing. its obvious that this guy knows that he cant kill jacob, or else he would have just run up to him and strangled him in the opening scene of the episode

I think they are in a continuous loop until the end time comes. Jacob/Island seems to keep them alive until they've served their purpose. I think the plane crash happened, they escaped. Then Jacob had to go back in time to bring them to the island again and again to make progress in hopefully savingn humanity.

The end of the world theory? look no further than the number I believe its the vallenceti numbers that predict the end of the world. And your 3rd theory; what part of dead is dead did you not get! Final Part:

Order is restored. Jack and the rest will stand together and start new lives on the Island, protecting it from threats to come. They will do so under Locke's guidance.

The last scenes will give a salute to all ove those who've died in the journey.

Or maybe not. This would be cool but I hope it doesn't turn out like this or else i won't be surprised. Either way, the show will end great and I will probably cry for the first time in a great while.

Part 6:

I don't know why, but Hurley will face his fears and deliver the outrageously lucky finishing blow that kills The Rival. Perhaps, god forbid, but perhaps he will sacrifice himself in the process.

Miles, Frank, what's left of the Others, and Ilana's group will merge under Jack's leadership.

Claire will return soon and in the end will become a high ranking Other at her brother's side. She will raise Aaron on her own, training him to become strong for his possible destiny.

Part 5:

Ben will likely die at one point or another for his betrayal toward Jacob and the Island but he will die trying to redeem himself by helping kill the Rival.

Eloise Hawking and Charles Widmore will likely return to the Island hoping to help but will in the end be killed fighting the Rival.

Desmond will return to help his friends fight the Rival. If they succeed the Island will be done with him and his family.

Enough with the past now onto current events.

Part 4:

Locke will transcend death and become a mystical being like Jacob who will watch over the Island. Aaron or Walt will be his proteges.

Jack will side with Locke and become the fair and true leader of the Others. Sawyer and Kate will be his lieutenants (if the Rival doesn't kill one of them).

Juliet died from her injuries and Sayid from his gunshot wound.

Part 3:

Jacob learned of his Rival's plans long before and knew the Others would not survive for long, so he began to bring together new potentional Others to defeat the Rival and keep the Island pure.

These turned out to be the Oceanic 815 survivors.

Somehow Jacob brought Desmond to the Island so he would lose hope and let the countdown hit zero thereby crashing 815.

Both Jacob and the Rival appear to the survivors in their mystical forms: Jacob (white light); Rival (black smoke)

Part 2:

The DHARMA Initiative learned of US soldiers landing on the Island accidentally and found the Island somehow, this upset The Others who saught to protect the Island's goodness.

The Rival poses as Ben's mother and leads him to the Others which in turn will lead him to Richard. While Richard plans on using him to kill the Initiative, the Rival knows it will also bring about the end of the Others.

I'll throw my current theories in right now. I know they won't be right but it's just me:

Part 1:

The Island: is indeed a place of miracles, an Eden of sorts corrupted by bad men time and time again in the past. Jacob and his rival were the original good people who came to the island and got the best of it's powers, thereby becoming mystical beings.

The Others: were originally the people from the Black Rock and we're taught by Jacob and threatened by his rival.

and locke will end up being the dead skeleton in first season cuz the skeleton had the two game pieces that locke loves. and i also think that jack, kate, sawyer, miles, syide,etc... where timetraveled back to the future. thats "who's coming". and the bomb remains and it is the reason the hatch explodes. and there is alot more to come

i think aaron is jacob which is why the others always want babies... secondly "smokie" obviously is Jacob's Friend. and when they say "what lies in the shadow of the statue?" well, JACOB is the statue, not literaly but thats what they're refering to, and who lies in the shadow is his friend "SMOKIE" cause he is like a shadow.

the first season was related to the bible alot. the book of exodus. locke (being related to moses) was the only one that saw the smoke up close without running and didnt die. in the book of exodus God came to moses as a cloud of smoke. and he was the only one who could see it :D

im thinking that the bomb blast wont have that much of an effect, because wayy back on series 2 there was the hatch with dezmond pushing the butten, and that was in devolupment then so surely they survived, and on the film in the hatch the man mentioned that there was an incedent, that might be that, i dont know but it might be a thorey,

Yes- it did like a flash. Which would make total sense because the energy of the Swan station was released, and with all the metal that is in the hole - and we've learned that metal helps in those chaotic things.

It would make sense that the entire 1977 group of people from the plane go forward in time to meet everybody else, shortly after Jacob died.

a friend of mine said that the cabin which jacob was supposed to inhabit was the one that rose and bernard built---is that true? i'm torn between it being theirs and being horus' cabin (or the one he was building). What's everyone's thoughts on this?

I thought Jacob's cabin was build by Horace. I remember a episode in which Locke met Horace in the woods chopping trees to make a cabin for him and his wife. Then Locke found a map of the place so he could finde the actual cabin. But maybe i'm wrong ? Let me know what you think.
