I was born in the 60's so i did not know to much about David Ruffin,, I do know of the Temptations and David Ruffin was the lead singer in alot of there songs. I like all types of music. As far as your own individual voice goes, I think your great and it must be very hard to be always put in your fathers shadow. Its got to be hard to be always measured up by your fathers successes and struggles. Although being proud of your father, you are your own soul and inspiration.
I was on here listning to the temptations and had to hear you and i'm so happy I did. You're wonderful!!!! Today 15 years ago my farther passed away and he would always sing this song to me. Thanks for showing us what real soul is keep it up!

Folks like me get excited because we miss your father's sound & your voice makes us nostalgic for that, but you've got your own voice and it's a good one. You just need decent writers & arrangers. I bet Johnny Gill could write some kick-ass stuff for you that has oldskool sound but is fresh. Believe in yourself!
