April 7th is my birthday. And as my fellow Spartans may recall, in 2007, that was the day when Michigan State played Boston College in hockey for the national championship. To this day, I view Lerg's save on that odd-man rush (you all know what I'm talking about) as THE key play in securing the national championship for Michigan State. I also play with asthma. It is not easy sometimes i have to leave games early because of how severe it is. My mom tried holding me back, but i just kept going. I love playing, and i going to keep doing it.

Jeff is such an inspiration for me... I have chronic asthma (bit different than asthma) and I haven't been aloud to do any sports for the last 2 winters and have missed 8 months of school, 11 with the summer, in 2009, because of the disease. He just showed me I still have hope to make it through, go back to my sports and make it to university. Thanks Jeff.

Well look at Zetterberg, Alfy, and countless other players who were drafted very low due to size and ended up amazing. Teams look too much at size and don't notice that the player can avoid checks and what not without having to crush people.

I go to BGSU (a rival in the CCHA) and when I watched Lerg play against us this season he made it look so easy but at the same time he looked like he was having so much fun.

He's small enough to swing on the goal when he gets bored but when it comes down to it the Spartan captain makes the saves, and that was just fun to watch. :)

My asthma isnt that bad but when i was younger it was. This is truly inspiring. Im 18, 5"6', and i play junior hockey on long island.
