This was Ratt's first album (except for their EP) where they didn't use Beau Hill as a producer when they went to cut the album in the studio and the lack of quality was apparent. Ratt lost their "sound" which they were known for through out the early and mid-80's... and they went down hill from there. The 90's came with grunge and they never recovered.

What struck me most about the 90's and the 00's was how dark and depressing the music I was hearing became. A lot of the 80's music was simple, stupid, and fun, fun, fun! Kinda like this... I'll be still listening to 80's rock when I'm using a walker. (The "simple and stupid" remark is a reference to something David Lee Roth said about good rock and roll.)
For me, this was THE jump the shark song for Ratt. I loved the first two albums, Dancing undercover and Reach For The Sky were okay albums. Then they dropped off the cliff with Detonator.

Great song, great video, but they couldve shown Robbin Crosby more. Damn, they gave the guys plenty to look at, but what abt us females that are into Robbin Crosby.
